Yes, the option has to be on for the R2 button to work.

On, off, whatever it is I don't use the sprint button.

Yeah OTM, if you turn it off, R2 will become your sprint.

Locomotion just feels more real and does it as well...as you said "at the proper time" No need to be sprinting right into or past your blocker.

I took a break from Madden this weekend and played the crap outta NCAA '11 instead. Gotta say it's a great game and I'm giving it the edge over Madden. Makes me realize just how lacking the franchise mode is in Madden, Dynasty mode is a lot more fun.

Anyone got any tips strategies for d lineman. I usually control a linebacker or d lineman when im on D. it seems like when i push the R3 left or right to do a finesse move to that selected side I dont get any separation or break the block.

pushing up on R3 usually does the spin move which I end falling down on half the time. pushing down on R3 does a power push type move which is minimally effective.

i have been trying to break away from blocks without having to use the R3 stick (just trying to move the d lineman left or right after teh snap and try and get around the blockers) which has given me some success.

is there a button/move you can do to break blocks more consistently? any tips?

I usually control the safety but when i am rushing with a d lineman i usually use an outside rush with a spin move.

Sorry I didn't respond when I got your message last night, I just got my router operational again. I had been down for an entire week. Verizon kept sending me a new router and it turned out that the router itself wasn't the issue. Anywho after I was back online I had a honey do list to accomplish so I couldn't play.

WTF is up with people and 4th down on Madden? As if the lag online didn't make the game unbearable but now I have to deal with these idiots? 4th and 17 on your own 14 is not a good time to go for it on 4th down!

I knew Madden heads were dumb but this takes it to a whole new level. Oh well, I'm trading in the game soon and making a promise to myself not to buy this game again. I ended up trading Madden 10 around the same time last year.

I don't know. I mean I'm sure it is, but I don't think I can justify giving EA Sports any money right now. They already screwed up NHL 11 by making it illegal score where as Madden has the opposite problem with it being to easy to score. (FTR I won 28-7 with my opponent conceding).

Anyway lots of good games coming out for PS3 in the next year. Assasins Creed Brotherhood, Mass Effect 2, Dead Space 2 w/ Rail Shooter, Infamous 2, Twisted Metal. Even games like Crysis 2 and Killzone 3 warrant a rental. I also bought Dead Rising 2 recently and it's just as much fun as the first. And yes I realize two of those games are made my EA.

Still you've peaked my interest with NCAA. Do people go for it on fourth down a lot? It's not that I'm worried about not being able to stop it, more that I'd like to feel like I'm at least playing someone competent on the other side.

I don't really play online much so I couldn't tell you. And when I do play online it's only against people I know who don't cheese. But regardless, NCAA is by far a better game.

NCAA has been the better game the last 7 years. This year they tried to make the game play similar but its not there yet. BTW Dbag I feel your pain man and we gotta play before you trade it in. One thing I dont understand though is why the hell did they change the kicking game on Madden to make it different than NCAA thats just stupid to me.

Way more ppl go for it in Madden than NCAA but there are the few that do stupid glitches and cheats so stay away from the guys with records like 114-9 and the Top 100 all cheat. BTW zone D in NCAA no where near as effective as Madden

In Madden '10 I drafted a stud LT in the first round and lost him in his rookie year to a career ender. That was a bummer.

played a game this morning. im down by 6 on a 4th and 1 w/ approx 20 secs left about 20 yds from the endzone. i call a run play, the RE goes right thru my lt and stuffs the run in the backfield.

i check to see who my lt was, it was my backup. i then go to check t williams stamina and he has a 65 rating (maybe 68) compared to all my other oline guys with high 70s to 80s ratings for stamina.

why did they make trents stamina so low. he is virtually 50/50 on whether he takes a snap.
