Wait till the end of the game.

Let me know when you see players on winning teams do that before the game is over.
I see players on many teams helping each other up, laughing, and shit all the time...

I don't know what games you guys watch, but it is just a game.

If Gruden calls Bruce would he fire Shanny?

At this point play to get the higher 1st rounder than the Cowboys and 49ers.

I thought the only person that could fire Shanahan was the owner? Isn't MS higher in the pecking order compared to BA?

Helping some one up is different...

Its just a game but to me its just not what you want to see. Just my opinion.

Re: Week 15: Redskins vs Cowboys Gameday thread

Okay.. I know we are all on the "Offense stinks" routine.

I have an issue with the defense. I don't mind that we are going into a 3/4. I'm okay with that because I like the 3/4 defense. What I don't like is when i'm watching players who have been coached all year by Haslett to go for the strip tackle everytime.

Hall, Moore, and many more players on this defense seem to go for the strip way to much, and even on that last TD by the Cowboys, Moore was going for the strip at the 2 yard line instead of just making the tackle?

I think Landry and Fletcher are the only guys on this defense that actually just make the tackle and it shows.... We can blame the 3/4 all day and night, but football is about fundamentals and our tackling is the worse i've ever seen

Agreed. We need someone that maybe won't go on pissing matches with players, go on ego trips, and force schemes into players that are not naturally suited for it.

Also we need a coach that realizes that our o-line is GARBAGE. Because for the past three years the FO has acted like they are good.
But Shanahan is infallible, how is that possible?
"In Shanny I trust" was one of the dumbest phrases ever created right from the beginning, and I found it annoying very quick.

Wow.. If we had a defense we could be in this game.

We are getting scores in the red zone too.. Nice.

WilbursHomie 12-19-2010 02:58 PM

I still can't believe I'm witnessing Rex Grossman as the starter of the Washington Redskins. This is the worst Christmas Ever.

Re: Week 15: Redskins vs Cowboys Gameday thread

I love how everyone is wanting to crucify Snyder, but ACT just like him.

Firing a coach after his first season... Rediculous.

The Bucs went 3-13 or something like that last year right? When the new coach came in there and cut half the roster that year and alot of the known vets on defense they had. ESPN was all over them for doing that ALL year long.

Now where are they?

Why don't you give it some time guys.. We are 2/2 in the redzone today. Whens the last time we've been there?

Another missed stripped tackle by Moore..

We need to tackle better.. Bottom line

I like Harbaugh, but from everyone who knows that I talk to, even his biggest supporters, he's every bit as stubborn and egotistical as Shanahan

I will never understand this. I don't understand how people still take Haynesworth's side in the situation. He did everything he could to get Big Al ready to play, but as we all saw Haynesworth didn't want to play. No pissing match involved.

What ego trip are you referring to?

I definitely don't think Shanny should be fired after one year but from a fans point of view the skins haven't improved in any aspect of the game since last year.

I fcking hate Jim Hasbitch. He should be fired after the game. That mother fcker has no idea what the other teams offense going to do. I don't think I've hated a coach as much as him and there have been plenty of coaches to hate around here.

So guys in a new offense and defense should be better than they were last year in a D and O they had experience with? Or would you agree with me when I say it takes time to improve?

Special teams may be better this year.

I can't believe the D is playing this bad, maybe they have given up. Guess you can't blame them. They've been put in shit situations all day.

God help Jim Harbaugh or whoever else if he doesn't go 12-4 in his first year, no matter how bad the roster is.

Then -- it's on to the next coach, then the next, then the next...

Good Christ.

You can argue that we're lacking in talent, but saying the the learning curve for a system is this steep is absolutely not true. It's football, not calculus. Shanahan's not waiting on McNabb to learn his system, so why are you?

Bucket 12-19-2010 03:10 PM

Re: Week 15: Redskins vs Cowboys Gameday thread

Shanahan may be labeled stubborn, but I would rather have a stubborn coach, then a push over like Zorn or someone else..

Pats
Steelers
Ravens

All ahve stubborn coaches, but nobody calls them out because they are winning and have had time to put the pieces in place.

You guys need to stop thinking we are going to win the Super Bowl every year.

Shanahan has not set up this team for the future, and personally I don't think he is that type of coach. The team is not good at anything, and he has created even more personnel needs. Also, his pissing matches with McNabb and Haynesworth have not help this team.

I would definitely say the return game has improved, so I take that back. Special teams in general has regressed (long snapping, punting, kicking)

Im willing to give Shanny time, I agree that it takes time to learn a new system. My point is that they have regressed from week 1 under Shanny to week 14 under Shanny.

Re: Week 15: Redskins vs Cowboys Gameday thread

Shanahan needs to stay, the situation has been handled weird but McNabb was not getting the job done and he is not part of the future anymore. He is a good coach, its the 1st year we were 4 and 12 last year. P.S. our defense absolutely sucks!!!! It is terrible i know we dont have that much talent but geez give me a break giving up way too many points and plays on a regular basis. The system is not working!

Yes, but Bellichick is a stubborn coach that uses his players to the best of their ability. And when he has had issues with players, he either cuts then or trades them.
