Re: Giants v. Redskins Gameday Thread
the number of times an open guy was missed was extremely frustrating
Whenever I said McNabb was inconsistent, missed the open man and under threw receivers before he got benched, people looked at me like I had an arm growing out of my head. I didn't think my opinion was THAT far fetched. Seriously. McNabb is just not that great. I don't even think he's really starting material unless it was with a team with a lot of weapons around them. If he's with a team in rebuilding mode, be prepared for a lot of struggles. |
lol just heard Sam Huff said that Davis was so open because he hadn't gotten a TD all season
between the ages of since I can remember and let's say.. 18, I muted the TV and turned on the radio I'm not sure I want to anymore other than for the tragic comedy
Davis scored against Jags bro when Cooley dropped TD. |
Re: Giants v. Redskins Gameday Thread
I wonder what a Redskins team would look like if they ever had a good O-Line, when was the last time it wasnt one of the worst units in the league? Any QB is going to look bad if he is getting planted on his ass all the time. I think we should bring Grossman back for next year so we can keep working on getting our 0-line restocked with young talent. We could use improvement from LG all the way to RT. Williams is looking like a great pick. I want that C/G from Penn State if we could get him in the 2nd round. 1st round take the best available player regardless of position.

Re: Giants v. Redskins Gameday Thread
Well McNabb did not want adjust to our offense so we will find a QB that will.
Still a failure. |
Re: Giants v. Redskins Gameday Thread
McNabb can be better in this offense if he would be open to doing what KS is asking to work on to get better. He stuck on his old ways from Philly.

Yep.. and he's had another this year too. That's kind of what I meant about not being able to listen, these guys are off of their rockers by now. Like you mentioned, it was only last week that Davis got a TD.. |

Unfortunately our FO decided to make a fairly big gamble on McNabb. |
Re: Giants v. Redskins Gameday Thread
Okay.. We get the ball back first in the 2nd half. Hopefully we can continue doing what we did at the end of the first half.
|
Re: Giants v. Redskins Gameday Thread
Man, what's up with that awful non-block #78 on that long Williams screen pass?
Actually the fact that Kory Lichtensteiger was 25 yards down the field attempting a block was pretty impressive. His mere presence in the area added 5 yards to the end of the screen pass. |
Re: Giants v. Redskins Gameday Thread
Still a failure.
Your right its a failure we signed McNabb. We gave up a 2nd and 4th rd pick for him and we release and get nothing in return we got hosed. |

It's hard to take a guy and change the mechanics that he's had his whole career. From the footwork to the decision making. Some guys can do it (re: Grossman, Vick this year) and some apparently cannot. I don't think that McNabb will be able to make the change.. or is not willing, one of the other. The path of least resistance seems to be his m-o right now. |

Which is why you don't go and get yourself an expensive veteran QB past his prime and gamble on him picking up a new offense. Sure, McNabb didn't adjust, and well that's what happens when you've played in one system and comes to a brand new one. Once again, why this front office gambled on a QB learning a new system and playing behind a terrible line? I don't know, but it was a sizeable setback in my opinion. |
Re: Giants v. Redskins Gameday Thread
Clock is ticking down in 2nd half. Who knows when the next half of Redskins football will be...

Grossman and Vick spent a year learning their respective offenses before they played. |

Unleash the Dragon!
|
Re: Giants v. Redskins Gameday Thread
I told you guys, the lines not nearly as bad most of you make it out to be.
|
Re: Giants v. Redskins Gameday Thread
Why are we so bad at 3rd down conversions? If we're second to last... Who's in last place?
|
Re: Giants v. Redskins Gameday Thread
Why is Roydell Willams playing he better not be back next season.
|
Re: Giants v. Redskins Gameday Thread
Well.. They can't be calling that TE across field PA plays we've been hitting all year. Grossman doesn't have the cannon that Mcnabb has, and it showed right there.

Arizona. |
Re: Giants v. Redskins Gameday Thread
Is Terrance Austin just terrible? I mean Roydell Williams is playing over him. Let the young kid play!
|
Re: Giants v. Redskins Gameday Thread
We just pissed off a lot of people in Tampa.
|
Re: Giants v. Redskins Gameday Thread
Well they beat us playing in the cover 2
|
Re: Giants v. Redskins Gameday Thread
Wow.
Pathetic Hall. Absolutely pathetic. You were beat. No need to jump and get beat, but look ridiculous on top of that. |
Re: Giants v. Redskins Gameday Thread
Grossman and Vick spent a year learning their respective offenses before they played.
Footwork is mostly independent of the system. Sure you'll have different drops but mechanics are mechanics. |
Re: Giants v. Redskins Gameday Thread
Hall must have been peeking in the backfield or expecting help over the top.
|
Re: Giants v. Redskins Gameday Thread
Damnit, longest play by Giants this season and career-long for Sheli.
And Hall gets burned big time for going for the pick. |
Re: Giants v. Redskins Gameday Thread
Manningham said he wanted to be covered by Hall.. Hall wanted the ball but over-pursued
|
Re: Giants v. Redskins Gameday Thread
Why is Roydell Willams playing he better not be back next season.
Exactly what I thought. Fred Davis has a nice drive at the end of the half, but he's back on the bench for a key third down. I've said it before, if we don't use him, he's as useful on the roster as a backup punter. Boy Wonder should stop being so cute on the play calling and force feed what worked until the Giants stop it.
|
Re: Giants v. Redskins Gameday Thread
If the Redskins, Dallas and SF end up with 6-10 records who gets the best pick? Who's second? Anyone know?
|
Re: Giants v. Redskins Gameday Thread
Ewww... That was ugly.
Well.. Now typical Kyle will abandon the run, and pass 3 straight times here for a 3 and out. |
Re: Giants v. Redskins Gameday Thread
I guess we will be moving up in the draft now
|
Re: Giants v. Redskins Gameday Thread

Re: Giants v. Redskins Gameday Thread
was Barnes supposed to help on that play? I looked up a bit late

Great point what the f*ck is that shit. |
Re: Giants v. Redskins Gameday Thread
Redskins need to run a reverse on the KR they so over playing Banks right now.

Re: Giants v. Redskins Gameday Thread
Here we go.. Twilight Zone.
Offense played like POO first half, and Defense played well.. Now our Offense will play well, and our Defense will Poo it up |
