Bachmann is a smart woman, but politically stupid in my opinion. She really is going too hard to embrace the Christian Right at the wrong time. The CR has past its zenith of power. Very few moderates and more importantly, independents are going to vote for her because of that. Romney has the money, and that is the problem. Look at Iowa, and the faceoff at the county fair about if corporations are people. In his view he was right, and in fact some Supreme Court cases back him up,but the perception is that corporations are heartless money grubbing entities that are evil to the core. Isn't the man worth like over $150 million also??

He’s probably the smartest guy on stage and one of the most well spoken, he definitely knows more about politics then any other front runner, and he’s appealing to lot of different people. A lot of liberals like him and I see him taking votes away (a couple) from Obama, while Bachmann doesn’t take any. Evangelical Christens like him, although probably less then Bachmann. We need Paul to implement those monetary policies of his if we are going to get back to any semblance of fiscal sanity. Printing more money to get out of debt is totally illogical, but it is what we have been doing since I have been on this earth and even before my time. Russia and China are mining gold like crazy. They know the shit is going to hit the fan soon, and some type of gold standard is going to be setup.

You mean that[B] liberals[/B] have the perception that corporations are heartless money grubbing entities that are evil to the core. Most sane people realize that a corporation in its self is designed to make money and if the don't make money they fail. If they fail then the stock holders loose and the employees loose. So most people do realize that sometime corporation have to make decisions that affect people in a negative way and thats just a part of life. I'm not saying they don't do some things wrong I'm just saying they have to make money or they fail.

most americans have that perception. and since most of the time perception is reality....let me ask you a question. over the last 3 years at my companies quarterly meetings, we have been told that we are doing better then we ever have. business is booming. ROC is hovering around 20%. which is pretty much unheard of. but yet every year we get a 2.3% raise. so does that sound right to you?

I agree somewhat, but again i think its like starving the fat man. I feel like these are political ideals, not feasable options. You have to compermise and you have to be in the center and slowly strive for political ideals, otherwise your just wasting time imo

Compromise can be done. Close the corporate tax loopholes, but at the same time cut the damn regulations on them. The regulations are also part of why US companies relocate overseas, not just to avoid the unions. It is a fact that it is easier to create your own business in Communist China than it is here. Venture capitalism is all but dead in America. Cut the damn spending on the stupid wars also. Damn, almost half the debt is attributed to these far flung wars that really serve no other purpose than to enrich Wall St bankers, whom we borrow from, and the defense contractors, to whom we pay the loan money to.

Actually the wars have cost aroun 1.3 trillion which is about 10% of or dept. You say the war has enriched Wall Street Bankers and I ask How?

I think the turning point for him was when he didn't mix it with Romney during the first debate. He came off looking like a wimp which reinforced the nice guy perception.

Even if Palin gets in at this point, it's a three way race between Perry, Romney and Bachmann. My guess is either Jon Huntsman or Newt Gingrich will be the next casualties.

Newt has a 2 inch gash on his neck...I really don't know how/why he is still standing. The will to be in the spotlight and sell his book is strong in him.

It's simply amazing that if you listen to the right wing noise machine and "polls" beating Obama in 2012 is a slam dunk, but no one wants to go against the guy.

FWIW, Christie is already denying reports that he's conducting focus groups and isn't interested in running.
