Kolb is going to get 5 years, $63M, with $20M guaranteed?!

Wow.

Desperate move by Arizona.

They could have had Orton for a lot less and kept DRC.

This trade is even more impressive than when he got a 2nd round pick from Miami for AJ Feeley

Yeah. I actually like the Cards and generally wish them well. But this is insane. I just don't think Kolb is worth it.

In consecutive years, Philly dumps two QB and gets a starting corner, two seconds and a fourth. Nice.

Now we have to deal with Samuels and Cromartie on the Eagle corners.

Philly should do likewise and drop $70 mil on DRC. I'm kidding.

Or am I?

for some reason when you posted I was thinking of Antonio Cromartie...forgot they got DRC in the trade. and didnthave to spend 20 mil a year to get a top corner....damn them

And people talk about us overspending on a backup player who showed promise while playing sparingly. That's crazy money. I hope he is the Cards' franchise qb because I like them and I'd hate to see them look like Dallas after what they gave up for Roy Williams.

They can't afford a big splash. Re-signing Doug Free is their big move.

This Orton to Miami trade is starting to flatline. We need it to pick back up, otherwise Young might be a Dolphin

Vince Young has been released.
I know a lot of you think he's a bit of a loon but some of his issues have been debunked. And you cant deny that hes a pretty good QB.
I think if we grab him plus considering the huge moves we made this week we can be a + .50 team.
Lets get this boy in DC!

I'd take VY, speaking of QBs Kyle Orton had a "great" practice today in Denver.. Hmm maybe they'll keep him afterall

If you had to pick one of the two, who would you pick: Vince Young or Kyle Orton? Curious to know why people wanna pick up a headcase but talented qb from Tennessee.

Without having to give up draft picks? Orton. Not even a discussion really.

Vince Young. For one thing, you won't have to trade for him. For another, the headcase thing is getting a bit overblown in my opinion. For yet another, Young is more of an overall playmaker in my opinion. Even further, and I don't have this in front of me, going next level on some of his stats he looks less impressive. I don't mind Orton but I prefer Young out of the two

Taking the trade out of the equation if you could pick either one straight up who would you take? Just curious.

Matt Moore...I'd probably still give the edge to Young...but seriously, I think teams are missing out by not going after Matt Moore

I don't because I think VY is a starter in the NFL, Vick will be the guy for a few more years

Re: 2011 NFL Free Agency-Part 2

i'd take VY as backup/package guy or orton as the starter... straight up right now orton will win more games with what we have. they want a high pick or they'll just keep him though, which makes sense.

having too many starting QBs never hurts.

Doubtful that he's going to start anywhere this year though. He's gonna have to sit and earn his way back.

With Vick's style of play you never know how long he could be around for. He blows out a knee and all bets are off.

If he had a full offseason I could see him winning the job here, but coming in right now? Really doubt it.

Agree. Philly will prob sign VY 3yr contract & in 2yr trade him for a 2nd rd pick philly know's how to rehab a career.
