I know the show is coming to an end so character deaths are inevitable, but part of me thinks how the hell can you continue a motorcycle club with like 5 members? And the loss of characters and their differing views causes the show to lose something. There's no more Opie to be that man on fire about doing the right thing (besides Jax).
I still love it but all the character deaths are making the show thin on characters.
I just got around to watching last Tuesday's episode and I think Chibbs is trying to be that "good guy". I also think once Bobby Elvis gets the nomad group up and running there'll be some tension there as well. Also, I totally didn't see Tara scripting Wendy to lie to Gemma and having Wendy to try to roll over on the club so Tara could gain sole custody of them. Man Jax and Gemma are gonna have a fit. |
Re: Sons of Anarchy
Saw Tuesday's episode last night, that was a bit of an explosive ending, no? Ok, bad puns aside, I think our main antagonists got their message across loud and clear. I also gotta think Jimmy Smits is about to get arrested and charged with murder, that was just delayed a little bit by the events at the end.
|
Re: Sons of Anarchy
Yeah explosive would be the word.
Shit is on with the IRA that's for sure. |
Re: Sons of Anarchy
Solid episode, really didn't see the hook of Bobby being on a recruiting tour. I can't remember who it was saying Juice might die this season might be on to something with his sudden mood change. Didn't really understand the whole scene with Gemma and the guest appearance of Walton Goggins from Justified though.

They'll probably work the transwoman thing in there at some point. Not really like Sutter to bring a character into the show and then not develop them, especially not when they've had contact with a main character. I also didn't see the Bobby twist in there. Wondering who's going to turn on the club first, Tara or Nero. That DA woman got pretty brutal once her Toric link fell apart. |
Re: Sons of Anarchy
I was happy to see Juice actually act like a bad ass biker.
The characters are so beatdown the show is becoming depressing to watch. |

Re: Sons of Anarchy
The club got some of their swagger back. Good to finally see some positive things happen for a change.
|
Re: Sons of Anarchy
I wonder if I am the only one who thinks Bobby might be recruiting for a power trip. I know he said he wasn't, but I can't help but feel if he returns and he doesn't like the way Jax leads the club that he might try to get his guys to back him.
|
Re: Sons of Anarchy
Bobby is a good dude. I think he means what he says.
|
Re: Sons of Anarchy
I used to think Juice was going to get killed off but after 6 seasons only Ope has died. They don't kill off the main guys just the extras. Tig is proof of that.

Opie was a main guy. I think a main guy is going to die by the end of this season, especially since Bobby brought in 3 new guys, someone is dispensable now. Question is, who? |
Re: Sons of Anarchy
I don't like the game Tara is playing. She's really become Jemma 2.0

Yeah she's officially slipped to the dark side and this, as the show has shown in the past, is going to end very badly. |

Yup, unless there's another twist coming of course. Which is always possible. |
Re: Sons of Anarchy
I think there is...
The whole point of the Tara character was that she was a reflection of the viewers. She's the one who knows the bad stuff that goes, knows the danger that surrounds everything, has open eyes to the whole situation. But then she sticks around and tries to make it work (stays interested). To turn her to someone trying to get out is to turn her into someone who gives up on the show. Sutter isn't doing that. There's something else going on. I also don't believe for a second she's going to leave her kid with the former junkie ex-wife. Especially as flaky as Wendy has been about the whole "plan". |
Re: Sons of Anarchy
Oh and the the telegraphed behind-the-scenes plan for exacting revenge against the Kings seems sorta awesome. T Here is obviously something in the works. Chibs would have lost it when Jax told Conner to reiterate that August was still open to distribution of the guns if there wasn't a devious plan behind it.
|
Re: Sons of Anarchy
Kings are going down no doubt. Sons always get revenge.

Re: Sons of Anarchy
Yeah I don't like what she's doing either. At this point, I think Sutter is just setting up another twist, where we see Tara trying to leave, but doesn't for some reason, whether it be prison for the murder charge, or something happens with the club, like the death of one of Jax's sons. Or maybe Sutter decides to ignore the twist, and actually lets Tara escape with the boys. I'm not going to read into it too much, knowing there's usually a twist.

Re: Sons of Anarchy
Kings are going down no doubt. Sons always get revenge.
Yeah, no doubt about that. I really enjoyed it at the end of season three when the Sons were able to knock off the bitch ATF agent and Jimmy at the same time, it felt perfect. The two scenarios I could see would be the Kings being lured to Cali for some reason where the Sons then set the trap, or maybe the rest of the Kings grow wise to (forget his' name atm) bs' and knock him off . But I see the former scenario as being more probable than the latter. |
Re: Sons of Anarchy
Key thing to remember...sorta like BB, this shows takes place over a far shorter time period than the show's run. We could conceivably get just a couple months worth of show in the next season and a half.
|
Re: Sons of Anarchy
Long time no post.
But I'm wondering how Tara is going to make it through this season alive. Her plan fell apart faster than I thought it would. |
Re: Sons of Anarchy
Yeah Tara is screwed. I can't see Jax killing the mother of his children, but how do you go back to normal after this?
|

It'll be interesting to see how Sutter plans on pulling that together. I'm also interested in the storyline with the Putner chick.. Emily I think was her name? If that goes anywhere. Seems like the random homeless woman we've been seeing over the course of the past few seasons, is her mother? Well... my guess at least. |
Re: Sons of Anarchy
Yeah it was cool to finally get an answer on the homeless lady ghost character.
She pops up anytime Jax is going through a big life change. |
Re: Sons of Anarchy
I want to believe so very much that Jax just let's Tara and the kids go.
|
Yeah it was cool to finally get an answer on the homeless lady ghost character.

And as for Jax just letting Tara and the kids go... I dunno. I'd think it would have to take something huge for him to do that... Like the IRA snatching up the kids and Tara. Really, I could see Jax pulling his plea to the DA and just letting Tara go to jail. |
Re: Sons of Anarchy
I want to believe so very much that Jax just let's Tara and the kids go.
That's now the ultimate focal point of the overarching question throughout the entire series: is Jax a good guy or a bad guy. How he handles Tara will go a long way to determining whether he can walk the path his Dad envisioned or whether he'll descend into the evil mindset that seems to pull at every member of Samcro. Members of Samcro seem to either do the wrong that's required to survive (Clay), or they die (John Teller, Opie, etc.). The whole show at this point is about which road Jax will choose, and whether he can break the pattern. |
Re: Sons of Anarchy
I want to believe so very much that Jax just let's Tara and the kids go.
That's one of the options, but I just don't see it happening. I see Tara going to prison as a more probable option, and there's always the chance of unmarked grave as unlikely as that is, but I feel the only clear outcome is one in which she is gone in some capacity. I feel like there's gotta be a twist coming regarding SAMCRO's deal with the DA, but I've never been good at guessing so I'll just see where this goes. |
Re: Sons of Anarchy
I don't think Jax will let Tara go to prison. Part of the deal with the DA involves letting Tara off the hook, right? Who knows, there's bound to be something coming that we don't see. Maybe Gemma takes Tara out.
|

Or maybe Jax pulls that off the table.. |
Re: Sons of Anarchy
I gotta say I'm less interested in watching SAMCRO breakout Clay and more interested in watching Tara slowly lose her grip on sanity. Call it sick but watching her become a shell of a person and watching the insane length's she's going to to try to break away from the club is what interests me.
I was almost sure she was going to shoot someone this episode. I was glad to see her wail on the MILF Madam. |
Re: Sons of Anarchy
I want the opposite, I want more motorcycles chases, fights, gunfights, hookers and less Gemma.
With the enemies the club is making, the best place for the those kids is with Tara in Oregon. I don't see how they can stay since there aren't any other "Old Ladies" around to help other than Gemma. God I hate Gemma. 3 episodes left... I don't expect Clay to die or just rot in jail so he has to escape the jailbreak somehow with someone. I also don't expect Clay to get to Belfast, It will be interesting to see how he sticks around. |

The recap I read, the guy who wrote it thinks Clay is going to die during the breakout and take Galen O'Shay out with him. I'm ready for ANYONE to die at this rate, other than Big Red and the random Asian who I didn't even know was part of the gang, its been a little low on deaths and maiming this season. I mean the cops are there to taken Galen alive. The Chinese will be there (I assume Jax wants Happy back in one piece) to kill Galen and SAMCRO is just wandering around in the middle. I predict... Massive shootout. Edit: I forgot Otto, Toric and the random neck stabby dude. Okay so deaths haven't been low. Just forgettable. Other than Otto and Toric none of the deaths really made an impact. Until SAMCRO breaks ties with the IRA, Big Red and random Asian's deaths are pretty much in vain. |
Re: Sons of Anarchy
Yeah I don't know if we're going to see mass chaos next episode, but that's what they're setting it up as. For me there's too many factors to try and figure out what's going to happen. But I gotta give credit to the writers because I like the Tara storyline just as much. Honestly for the kids the best route would be Jax letting them leave with Tara. I don't see that happening though, nothing ever goes as planned in Charming.

Re: Sons of Anarchy
I can't figure what next season is. This feels so very end-of-timish.
|
Re: Sons of Anarchy
There's still no resolution between Damon Pope and Assoc. and Tig. That's going to rear it's head back up soon. We've gotten quite sidetracked by the IRA beef.
|
Re: Sons of Anarchy
Marks had the chance to kill Tig but he used him to test that Jax would actually give him up. I got the impression it was over then.

I agree. He was testing Jax's loyalty to him, and once he saw Tig there he knew Jax was good to go. I don't see why it would go any further than that. |
