Did TO ever? I don't see it, the guy is full of himself.
I'm with you. I think that if DJ has not yet reached TO's status as a knucklehead diva, he will in time. Some folks never outgrow mindless arrogance. |
Re: Around the NFL Week 11
I now know how to win in the NFL.
Step 1: Get a great defense and have a mediocre NFL QB with a great college pedigree. Step 2: Have defense bail you out when your offense fails to score 20 points. Step 3: Give all credit to QB and call him a winner. This pisses off the defense and makes them play harder the next week. Wash, rinse, then repeat. I finally understand. |
Once DJ matures which he will look out
Here is a certainty: DeSean Jackson will get older. Here is something that is not a certainty: DeSean Jackson will mature. There is a difference between aging and maturing... |
DJ=TO both of these guys are great players but headcases, I want neither one on the Redskins. They both share something in common besides huge egos, guess who their mentor was? Jerry Rice. I know a lot people like him, but you know what? He was a big punk like these 2 whining about not getting the ball, throwing coaches under the bus and obviously they've learned well.
I'll take D. Jack on the Redskins any day and especially on Sundays! I don't want the guy to babysit my kids, walk my dog, shovel my driveway or anything else that you may want a 'character guy' to do. We need a playmaker at a skill position and he's that. He's produced results, he makes defenses account for him, he causes holes in the secondary for others to account for. Have we had ANYONE on our roster who has done that in the past 25 years. I'll wait.. My Christmas list consists of 3 things. D. Jackson or V. Jackson in free agency. RGIII in the 1st round. A full offseason program for Helu to learn the system and learn to break tackles. Do that and we will actually have playmakers on offense unlike we have had in the past 25 years. |

Re: Around the NFL Week 11
i still remember my first time seeing desean jackson in action.
it was some prospect HS/college game and the announcer just talked about him and how he has a high opinion of himself. moments later he tries to do a cartwheel at the endzone and drops the ball at the 1. god bless the man, atleast he knows who is he and wont change for the world. ps - wouldnt want him on this team unless he really convinces me that he wont want mo money in a few years after signing his mega deal with us. IMO, DJax and VJax both tend to let their respective heads lose it at the worst moments and as a result, make it difficult for the team. |

I'd be down for D. Bowe also. Just bring in someone that's a playmaker. |

Again. I"ll pass on this dumbass in the free agency. He wants to know why he's not being shown the money? He need look no further than the mirror. I'm willing to bet you that Philly doesn't give him a huge deal. Another report I've read is that they are hesitant (besides his attitude and antics) because of a particular group of friends he hangs out with. We got rid of all of our dumbasses, we sure as **** don't need to bring in any more now that we've got our culture changed. This isn't the first episode either. |

His name: Desean Jackson. |
Re: Around the NFL Week 11
How bout Hoody running it up on KC. I love it.
|
Re: Around the NFL Week 11
Lol, Boston Pats vs Dallas Texans. A fan helps the defense and defenses a pass. LOL. If only we could do that.

The real sad thing is that he sacked Romo twice earlier this season... |
Re: Around the NFL Week 11
Who will be the top free agent WR next offseason? The Redskins truly don't need to look to the draft for a productive wideout but I wouldn't be surprised if they drafted one in April.

Dwayne Bowe or Desean Jackson I believe VJAX also |
Re: Around the NFL Week 11
Kyle Orton has been waived.
|
Re: Around the NFL Week 11
Orton is one of those Rodney Dangerfield guys. He's not a world beater but he can win. I guess it's just a case of - we know what he can do and we can get someone else to do the same thing with the hope they will improve.
My bet is he gets picked up as a back up for somebody. He'll probably hang around the league for a while just bouncing around as a 2nd and 3rd string guy. I wouldn't be surprised if ends up with a 12-15 year career when all is said and done. Hell, Brunell hung around for ages. |
Re: Around the NFL Week 11
Honestly I would take Orton off the waiver wire. I am amazed, that with all the injuries to qb's they haven't been able to trade him for something...
|
Re: Around the NFL Week 11
Anyone who suggests Desean or Bowe needs to take a deep breath. Bowe is as inconsistent a player as the league has seen in a while. DJack is dynamic, but you can't count on him game in, game out. I wouldn't be opposed to adding either, but i sure as hell wouldn't break the bank for either of them.
|
Re: Around the NFL Week 11
Wow. Didn't expect Orton to get waived.
If I'm the Bears I'm calling him |
Wow. Didn't expect Orton to get waived.
If I'm the Bears I'm calling him
LOL. Why didn't those idiots just trade him at the beginning of the season? Why waive him now of all times?.../facepalm |
Or the Texans. Or the Cheifs. Or..... the Redskins?
Hmm. Hadn't thought about the Texans...except Leinart's about to BLOW UP there! With the money he's owed the rest of the year ($3.2 million I believe) unless a team wants him long term I'm guessing the only teams truly interested will be those needing him for a playoff push this year |

Extremely poor FO move. Could have gotten a 4th at the minumum for him. Thats pretty damn poor by the Broncos |

If they kept Brady Quinn over him I doubt they would have gotten a 6th rounder. What did we get for McNabb? A 5th rounder. |
Re: Around the NFL Week 11
Clayton is speculating, and he's just speculating, the Chief could be an option. That'd be a bit of a stunner
|
Re: Around the NFL Week 11
Skins should pick him up. He would likely beat out Grossman (He's done it before) and Beck next year and be our bridge QB in 2012 while the Shanny's coach up the rookie QB they draft...

i remember hearing there was a 4th on the table, dunno, any case sign him 9 million this year salary and could have traded him?...not smart by the Broncos |
Re: Around the NFL Week 11
Can't believe you trash Orton for a guy that passes 2 for 8 attempts for a game. Seriously??
|
Re: Around the NFL Week 11
We should at least consider Orton. I'm not sure of his contract situation. He may only be signed thru the end of the year. He is better than Beck and Grossman. Of course, if he's just under contract this year, not worth the hassle.
|
Re: Around the NFL Week 11
Wow, if Shanahan picked up Orton, that would be a total zero confidence in Beck and Grossman. And it would be like he himself admitting that he blew it with 2 QB's.
Nope, its gonna be a QB rich draft. I dont see the Redskins putting in a claim on Orton. Heck they are already paying the remaining seasons salary on Choice, who they cut after only 6 touches. |

I would assume it's because the trade deadline was back in week 6. Either way I agree, I'd kick the tires on Orton at least for the rest of the season. Can't hurt. |
