Yeah. The pick was traded.
Is there some reason you're on my ass about everything?
Am I? Or was I adding to your joke? Don't be so quick to get defensive. Contrary to your belief it isn't always about you. |

Re: Draft talk rounds 4-7
RB? not knocked out. Not a big need and he couldn't have been the BPA on their boards.
Plus what about ellington? |

Re: Draft talk rounds 4-7
Burner at RB but dude is tiny. I'm guessing he'll be more of a receiver out of the backfield.

Missed 2012 with ACL.

Only thing I found. |
Re: Draft talk rounds 4-7
Guy is fast and a threat if he gets to the second level but Ellington has the same strengths, but also is a much more polished pass protector and from all reports would be a perfect fit in our zone read run scheme. Shanahan knows his running backs though so we gotta go with his track record.

Fills the scat back need I suppose. |

Plus what about ellington?
What if he was? I think it's safe to say when it comes to Thompson v. Ellington, they prefer Thompson. I'm diggin this pick. I think he's a potential Helu replacement if Helu's constant injuries are too much to overcome. |

kick returner and punt returner as well. |

Good point. We need a replacement for Banks. |

Wonder if he's a ST signing re: Thompson

Yeah I see him more as a banks replacement than a helu replacement.

Suffered back injury in 2011 and ACL in 2012. 5'7 188lbs. Go knows but it interesting to see if he can make it work in the NFL. |
Re: Draft talk rounds 4-7
I said we'd take a RB with our 5th rounder. This pick will probably be a DB again. Hopefully Rambo, but he's dropping hard as is Poyer, whom I would also be really happy with. Maybe WR is an option with Vernon or Swope.
|
Re: Draft talk rounds 4-7
I don't think he replaces Helu, I think he fits other needs.
|
Re: Draft talk rounds 4-7
We are up again. Come on Poyer or Rambo.
|
Re: Draft talk rounds 4-7
Morris
Helu (if healthy) Thompson A young RB trio |

RG3 doing jumping jacks....nice

I guess Florida State is this year's school.

Re: Draft talk rounds 4-7
LB Brandon Jenkins -FSU
|
I guess we wanted players coming off injuries to create a bonding experience amongst teamates.

I see I'm not alone. |
I'm actually surprised we didn't take poyer or Rambo. Maybe this guy becomes a solid pass rusher
|
Re: Draft talk rounds 4-7
Brandon Jenkins is a great 5th Round pick. He is a big time pass rusher. A team can't have too many of those.
|
Re: Draft talk rounds 4-7
GREAT PICK. Brandon Jenkins was an all american and first rounder until he got injured this year. With Orakpo coming off injury and in a contract year and Rob Jax being suspended the first 4 games, this could be a great pick.

He was a big time pass rusher. Now we have to see if he can make it back from injury. I think secondary was a much more pressing need. |
does Shanahan know Griffin is jumping and running at the draft party. better slow his roll. LOL
|
Overall I'm giving us a B.
Starting CB Starting S Hybrid TE/ WR GOOD Change of pace RB GOOD PASS RUSHER |
Re: Draft talk rounds 4-7
Good value late in the 5th, according to all his draft grades. And he gives us a decent backup if someone goes down again.
|
Re: Draft talk rounds 4-7
Fifth round was a big time rush on third tier pass rushers with question marks, and I think we got the best prospect of the bunch in Brandon Jenkins.
|

We picked DB's in the 2nd and 4th Rounds, so it has been addressed. Jenkins would have been a 1st Rounder before his injury. He could be outstanding. |
Re: Draft talk rounds 4-7
Cant say im thrilled about 2 guys with major injury concerns in the 5th. You think with Helu being as injury prone as he, we wouldnt take another RB with an even worse injury history. not bright
