no defense no defense at all Hand the Hawks the trophy at this point.
I believe Andrew Luck and the Colts might have something to say, they've beating the 49ers and Seahawks who were pre- season favorites to win the SB.

Their offense is good--not Denver good. And their defense is good, but not great.
No Im not, other than the colts beating them defensively they have looked good.
Other than last week in Houston too where they got bailed out? Or how about week one in Carolina where they nearly lost to a 1-3 Panthers who have only beat the 0-5 Giants.

Their only Super Bowl performance has been against the Niners. I don't think 1 dominant game calls for any type of handing over of the Superbowl trophy.

Denver is still the SB favorite.

How in the world did Cincy hold the Pats to 6?

skinsfaninok 10-06-2013 07:56 PM

Seattle should actually be 2-3 because Carolina fumble d at the 5 with one minute left and schuab just handed them a W last week. But still a lot of football left and don't count out GB as a serious contender also

Bottom line, they win when they have too.

Because New England isn't that great and Cincys front 4 is the best in the league. They constantly get pressure on the QB with 4. Oh and the best pass rusher on the bengals and their best CB (Michael Johnson and Leon Hall).

With that logic, change a couple plays at the end, you could say the cowboys should be 4-1.

4-1 isn't that great? I hate Brady and darth hoodie but be careful with that. Cincy at home is a tough opponent. They didnt exactly blow the pats away. If the pats play Cincy in January it'll be a different outcome.

Whew. I hope romo doesn't bring that against next week. Outside the dumb int at the end, that was probably the best ive seen him throw the ball. Shoot out with the best qb ever is probably not the best coaching strategy by the cowboys.

Other than that, Mrs. Lincoln, how was the play?

Typical Romo. No matter how well he slings it, you just know he will choke and blow the game on a dumbass throw (or three).

Ha, yeah play that ended the game. But actually think outside of the obvious bonehead play, that was an impressive game by romo throwing the ball. I hate giving him credit but IMO it's due today

skinsfaninok 10-06-2013 08:52 PM

Romo is a baller I've always said that but he's just not clutch

But that's the thing about Romo, isn't it? Just when you think he's about to have a kick-ass game...BAM! He throws it all away.

I feel (almost) sorry for Cowboys fans. Romo is just good enough to give them hope, yet juuust bad enough to always disappoint when it matters.

If you look at their games

Bills- losing record team this year and last year; beat them on a last second field goal 23-20.

Jets- beat them 13-10. Geno smith threw 4 picks, two of which forced the final outcome of the game. Brady's young wideouts had I don't know how many drops.

Tampa Bay- 23-3. Beat them pretty handedly. Although this was also Josh Freeman's last game as a starter.

Atlanta- 30-23 good win for New England. Atlanta was without their best defensive player, starting RB, and multidimensional defensive player. New England did lose wilfork early which will hurt them more later on.

You have to feel sorry for Cowboys fans. They all ate paint chips when they were little.

Without at least an above average QB, the window is fast closing for the Texans.

No quite a lot of them have parents who were cousins(or siblings).

Re: Around the NFL Week 5

I've been following the Pats a little more closely than usual this year due to Brady being my starting fantasy qb, but it's clear he needs something better than scrub wideouts. They may be 4-1, but that offense is not up to what we consider par for the Pats. I'm hoping he'll get better once they get Amendola/Gronk back.

I'll be honest, the way it was going, I saw the momentum going the Cowboys way. I guess you could say based off his past history we could've seen the pick coming, but I was pretty relieved when it happened. It couldn't have happened at a better time.

You know his past, I know his past, most fans know his past; why does Garrett keep rolling the dice with passing every down? It's amazing. At least give easy throws for him, screens, quick 3 step and throw, roll out, etc. Garrett has him back there and just winging it. It's just a matter of time

New England will win a close one in the east over Miami. Something like 9-7, 10-6.

Does anyone want to play Brady or Brees or Rodgers in the playoffs? No. But I'd rather play this Brady/patriot team than say the patriot teams of the past few years.

I wonder if Romo knew it, too. How much it is in his head that he will throw that pick late?
