Re: Do You Unequivocally Believe RG3 Is Our Franchise QB?
“You don’t say anything to the guys when it comes to that [leadership],” Griffin said. “The second you start changing and letting what outside people say affect what you do is the time that guys start to not believe in you. So you don’t do that. You go out to practice every day ready to work. Me and [Moss] talked. We’re on the same page and we just want to beat San Francisco. That’s all that matters to us right now.”

In Kyle's defense, RGIII commonly does not get past his first read, making additional receivers in the pattern pointless. Why have a third option if the QB will never see him? |

Seriously, because all a young QB needs is more reads, right? Let's just bombard him with options since he hasn't even mastered QB reads 101 yet. Makes sense. |
The third year will tell the story. If he continues to struggle next year, we will have wasted 2 first round picks for a bust!! Knowing our luck, we are screwed!!

Re: Do You Unequivocally Believe RG3 Is Our Franchise QB?
I think it is sort of too early to call Griffin a bust....I think what we are seeing around the league is that QB's like RG3, Kaepernick, appear to be a one year wonder. Kaepernick is struggling this year. They all deserve to have another year..
But if RG3 gets worse next year - i wouldn't call him a bust. He could be just an average QB, that could do well if we build an entire team.... |
Re: Do You Unequivocally Believe RG3 Is Our Franchise QB?
Too early to call the reigning rookie of the year a bust eh?
|
Re: Do You Unequivocally Believe RG3 Is Our Franchise QB?
No he is not, and I have said this in other threads. By the time you build a decent offensive line and give the guy some actual decent receivers, he is going to bolt period. Odds are that he is going to ask for more money and I am not sure we should give it to him. This is the team sport of team sports and RG III is useless if the guys around him are total puds. Also let's face another possibility, just like Spurrier destroyed Ramsey, maybe Shanny might have destroyed RG III. The next HC might say away with you and go with Cousins or draft his own guy. If Robert can bounce back like Cam did after his sophomore slump then this is all moot, but if the team continues to stink, he needs to be cut loose.
|
Re: Do You Unequivocally Believe RG3 Is Our Franchise QB?
I would trade him for a pair of second round picks and feel I got a bargain
|
I would take back the trade rite now if given the chance. Maybe Griff will still be great, and worth the picks. But if given the opportunity rite now id take back the trade. I dont blame Shanny for it though either way. I was 100 percent for it at the time.

Why not be a coach and coach him up to be able to so that. The kid is smart, he can learn to be excellent. |

Josh Wilson is the worst. I defended him in summer b/c we didnt hae anyone proven but damn he is garbage.
Kyle needs to blow his brains out and spare us from his stupidity. Just like the bears game, How the f* does he call 7 WR screens? Why why why Why do we have pass plays behind the line of scrimmage? Why have WR's in backfield ever? Why has Robert been a RB QB and WR under Kyle? Why has Mike never beaten Kyle as a child? Why has he not got angry with Kyle during games? I don't pull the Snyder card out but break the glass for this emergency... Clean the mother fucking house out Snyder. Clean house. Why can't we no huddle ? Why do we have Robert still in games in 3rd qtr with only 89 pass yds? Why can't Kirk go in and play QB? At least he will throw the ball accurately. Fuck mike and Kyle shanahan so much I can't even boil blood and hatred towards Jim and burns. A turnstile would have done a better job of slowing down Ahmad Brooks than Tyler Polumbus. Which I did not realize until I read an article about Shanny's firing in 2008 was one of his former Broncos' players. This franchise is in bad shape right now, and the QB is not the end all be all of where the major problems are. |

we shoulda had VJax if they didn't hit us with that cap penalty... no first rd pick the same year... rg got no offseason with these bum wrs... it spelled disaster but we were all still so blind and inflated from last year. now that were all deflated lets come back next year with a nice lil FA and go to work.

Re: Do You Unequivocally Believe RG3 Is Our Franchise QB?
Peyton Manning would struggle behind our playbook, oline, wrs, ect. believe that think about him behind center in our unis last night vs same team the 9ers. They stick manning with Wes,Thomas,Decker.. even had a TE from outta nowhere emerge. look at brady this year games dannys and gronk were out. ugly over here right now it really is. bubble screen, run, playaction, what playaction aldon smith was after rg like he knew it already when he threw that pick. take a shot downfield hail mary style to pierre get a spark like carlos rogers was on him cmonnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnn shannys gotta go im sorry I just made up my mind. really its kyle but theyre a tag team over there and im sick of it

It doesn't have to be though and this is why Kyle is so f'n dumb. When Kirk played Cleveland game, it was fantastic. No pistol no option all down field passing routes and smash mouth football. With Rob on field Kyle has the most f* up play calling and turns into an 8 year old playing Madden. Kyle doesn't realize he isn't coaching NCAA. Re: Do You Unequivocally Believe RG3 Is Our Franchise QB?
Syder needs to lure Russ Grimm out of retirement to become the Oline coach here. Philosophies be dammed.
RG3 needs to file a grievance with the NFLPA because I believe the league has deemed it okay to hit him at any point because he is a "running" QB. There are some plays last night and this season where Robert has gotten hit after the ball was out of his hands. He actually got kicked in the balls last night and the refs didn't call it. Time and time again players that face us get fined for the things that they have do after the game, but are allowed to do it during the game with no call from the refs. His career will be short in this NFL is the refs continue to treat him like a running back when they call games. RG3 can't turn into a pocket passer if he has no choice but to run on every play because the refs let him get hit after the ball is out of his hands. |

I think we paid the same contract for garçon that vjax took to not come here. That's what happens, if we want players, we have to over pay to compensate for the losses that they will have to endure. I'm not buying the lack of offseason. It's Kyle man. Every pass is a god damn play action. When we are losing by 20pts, teams want us to run the ball. If they give up a 1st down, so be it. It doesn't effect the scoreboard. Having a crap OL and as they said last night the smallest OL in the league, those wasted seconds to play action is less time for a scrambling QB to look down field. The knock on rob is that he isn't a pocket QB. That's a major fucking red flag. Instead Kyle has an offense that enables robs weakness. Instead of having rob in a quick passing selection rob has to either play action or run it. I can't accept that Alfred is too poor to run the ball, why is our QB running and taking hits? Our defense doesn't even get a sack let alone a hard hit on their QB and we expose ours to 10+ hits a night? Fire Shanahans. Our defense whores itself out in the passing game and allows anyone to score, we answer with play action and QB runs? Teams no huddle and move the ball on us. We answer with 7wr screens and line WR's in the backfield? We are helping the teams out. Then, with 3mins left in the game, we cut out most of the bullshit and try to desperately score a d undo a 20+ PT lead? Procrastinating and f'kn dumb. Father and son. Snyder needs to get the helicopter and drop Kyle out of it and send a message to scarf ace shanahan down below. Get Colombian Snyder!!!!! |

Second year player coming off major injury. Team overall needs a lot of help. Too early to pull the plug on RG3. Funny how last year he was the franchise savior now this year people are ready to throw him out of town.

Nobody is ready to give up on Robert. People are done with Kyle. If Kyle stays, than we want Kirk b/c Kirk won't have he same detrimental play calls. It doesn't matter that he may be less of a QB, we need a QB to pass the ball. Nothing more or less. Under Kyle, I could envision Aldrick being the backup QB, b/c Kyle wants speed at the QB position. |

That is the nature of Redskins nation I'm afraid. People want instant gratification and most of the time, commonsense doesn't seem to be a factor in their thinking. The beating that RGIII took last night was pretty harsh. I just want to know how many Redskins fans could play top notch football after getting hit by #99 several times AND getting kicked in the family jewels by him? |

I think they have to throw those screens because 1) the line cant block long enough for the receivers to get open. 2) RG3's downfield accuracy is terrible. |
Re: Do You Unequivocally Believe RG3 Is Our Franchise QB?
RG3 can win a superbowl.
polombus looked bad last week but last night was worse. im sure the FO would have upgraded RT if they had available money but i do blame them for settling for a cost-effective but underwhelming interior OL. |

He doesn't seem like the mentally, "cracks under pressure" type. In regards to his on the field play, eh. He definitely tries to be a 1-man team under pressure. That's red flags all over to me, not about him, but about the fact I feel like he has zero confidence in his teammates to help him out. 2. I think playing KC the last 2-3 games of the season shouldn't leave him shell-shocked. I think if anything it reinforces the fact that our o-line stinks and the problem lies more with them and less on our QB. If KC were to come out and deliver, then you can lay less blame on the o-line and more on the QB. But I'm pretty sure the O-line is a big part of the problem. 3. Its the end of the season, might as well screw around with things. What we were doing the first 11 games weren't working, sooooo... yeahhhh... |
