Good, glad he's off the board. And for 5 yrs / 36 mil - are you kidding me? Good for him, but that is off the chains for a player of his caliber.
Only 15mil guaranteed. I'd say it was a quality signing and a good value for the Jets. |

I hope for the Jets' sake that Decker's talent were not just the result of having Manning as a QB. Although we had that same concern with Garcon, but that really wasn't an issue. |
Yeah, I can see his numbers staying the same with Geno throwing the rock - not. He will be solid but not spectacular and not worth that money. Crazy.

Re: NFL Free Agents Signings Thread
So has Grossman left for Cleveland yet?
|
Re: NFL Free Agents Signings Thread
Sproles to shegles per Jason La Canfora.
|
Re: NFL Free Agents Signings Thread
At least Decker will be well paid for his big drop in production. Manning to Geno? What's he thinking? The Jets were his best option?

wow. he should thrive in that offense. |

for a 5TH round pick... man... lucky pieces of trash... hate the eagles.

Im not worried about the eagles. Got a years worth of film on Chip, Foles, etc. Foles wont have a repeat of that 5-6 game run. Plus their overall defense was worse than ours, they were just able to score enough. Im sure the talking heads will talk them up this coming season; last time they did that their coach got fired. |

You're right about Kelly's offense too, everyone will have it figured out and eventually, if he continues to try to run that pace, it's going to wear down older players. |
Re: NFL Free Agents Signings Thread
Bucs just signed Anthony Collins. 5yr/$36mil
Cross another off our list. Jags inked Ziggy Hood. They're making some nice defensive signings...Hood, Red Bryant, Chris Clemons. |

I don't buy the level of great people think they are... I'm just from right outside philly and deal with EAGLES SHIT all the time, and the fans, my god the friggin fans, most un-knowledgable collection of shit-faced weasels I have ever seen. |
Re: NFL Free Agents Signings Thread
The Sproles trade broke four NFL no-nos:
-Acquiring a 30+ year old RB -Trading draft picks for any RB (hi, Tim Hightower!) -Paying for a contract too large for the Saints to carry -Paying for performance that can be found for less |
Re: NFL Free Agents Signings Thread
Bears 1 year deal with Dominick Hixon.
Ravens are favorites to land Steve Smith after being cut. He apparently has a list of landing spots including Baltimore, New England, Dallas, San Diego and Tampa Bay. That was at least his list if trade partners before he was cut. It's not common to find an Alfred Morris in the 5th-7th round. I hate that the Eagles got him, but they got a steal. Also, his age is not an issue as much since he's not an every-down back and has never been. It also helps McCoy stay healthy, he got beat up badly last season with his workload and Chip Kelly's pace. |

Nicks to Carolina.

They got 31 year old Darren Sproles. |

...again, how do you feel about Garcon?

Re: NFL Free Agents Signings Thread
Browns outbid the Bengals for Andrew Hawkins. 4 years, $13.6 mill.
Makes our Roberts deal look great. That's pricey for a #3/4 WR. Kyle Shanahan will probably have him throwing passes like he did with Brandon Banks. |
Re: NFL Free Agents Signings Thread
Raiders signed Justin Tuck for 2 yeas/$11mil.
|
Re: NFL Free Agents Signings Thread
A source tells ProFootballTalk that free agent CB Dominique Rodgers-Cromartie turned down a six-year, $54 million offer from the Broncos.
lol... |
Re: NFL Free Agents Signings Thread
I heard that too.
Moron...he's not even worth that much...should have taken that without thinking. This was before they looked at Talib obviously. |
Re: NFL Free Agents Signings Thread
9mill per to play with peyton? bet he regrets turning tat down next week when he's still unsigned.

I am not how that is possible but that is what they said. So they could still sign someone else |

From what I've heard all the BIG bucks in these contracts are being pushed back with the anticipation of the CAP being increased in the coming years. |
Re: NFL Free Agents Signings Thread
Looks like we are still bringing in browner and Thurmond which I really like , does anybody know if Spencer and hatcher are still visiting also have we shown any interest in Donald penn would be a nice upgrade .

Adam Schefter @AdamSchefter 4m
As of tonight, NFL teams have doled out $627M in guaranteed money since free agency started this week. That's just a boatload of dollar bills raining down! |
Re: NFL Free Agents Signings Thread
Hakeem Nicks to the Colts and Browner to the Pats
|
Re: NFL Free Agents Signings Thread
With the additions of , Ware , Talib and TJ in Denver and DR and Browner in NE , those two might be in the AFC Title game the next two years. Both might want to pay attention to their OL's ....
