Nope. Just strikes me as not my kind of player. Don't wish him ill, but won't be upset if he crashes and burns.

Johnny football style of play reminds me a lot of griffins style of play especially Griffin's first year
I think they are both arrogant but Griffin is not an asshole

I don't disagree. I have no problem with athletic arrogance. It's the bolded part that is a huge difference for me.

Celebrating your ability and success is fine. Being an ass to others while doing either is not. Being an ass to others when you are looking bad... that is just low class BS. Be a pro.

Judging from the looks of it, he was already told about it during the game. I suspect that guy is somebody from Brown's PR. He doesn't look too happy having to deal with Johnny douche bag's antics.

A few thoughts:

It's August and I'm already tired of seeing Griffin taking unnecessary shots. He really needs to clean that up quick.

A mixed bag for the 1st team offense, they were their own worst enemy with the turnovers.

All the flags are just ridiculous. I know there's no way this continues once the season starts but come on already. I could barely hang in there until halftime.

Nice to see Johnny boy's little meltdown. He's a joke.

I think Johnny got really frustrated that he was the 4th best QB out there last night. Maybe 5th best if you count Sexy Rexy.

He needs a lot of work. There's no way he's ready to be a week one starter. The Browns should just name Hoyer the guy and get on with it.

Re: Gameday Thread: Browns vs. Redskins

RG3 isn't going to play 16 games. Now you see exactly why Cousins is valuable to this team. He did some good things and the pass to Roberts was beautiful but his pick was awful. He's still doing the back peddle and holding the ball like a loaf of bread whenever someone gets near him. Climb the pocket dude! Still seeing some of the things we saw last year. I thought Cousins does what he always does, throws a pick lol. Is he ever going to cut down on the turnovers?? But he settled down and ran the offense pretty well. Beautiful fade to Grant. All he does is get open.

Johnny F and Hoyer looked like high school QB's. Their D plays pretty tough and I can only imagine how pissed they're going to be at that crappy offense. Kerrigan looks like he's on a mission this year too.

I also think o-line is going to be an issue. Haven't heard what kind of camp Long is having but I can't take another year of Chester. And LeRib was on roller skates a few plays as well.

Totally I agree. I was out of my mind on one of his runs last night.

I think for the Skins it was a mixed bag. Defense looked to be a step ahead of the offense.

If CLE had traded for Cousins he had been the best QB on that team.

Re: Gameday Thread: Browns vs. Redskins

Two thoughts, maybe 3, from the game.

1st, it was the worst (most boring) preseason game I have been to. I go to one, maybe two, a year and this one was by a great margin the worst. The flags spoiled any flow of the game, and even when it gave us a first down, it just felt sloppy. And the stadium looked to be half empty (I don't know what the official tally was, but around my seats in the 2nd level there were 3 or 4 empties for every 1 that had someone). And that was at half time. I left at the beginning of the 4th quarter, and all the cars around my parking spot were gone by the time I got to my car.

2nd, it is really funny that most Skins fans will acknowledge that RGIII needs to not be stupid on runs, but one of the loudest cheers, including some Oh Yeah Way to Go's, was on RGIII's run where he got triple teamed before going out of bounds. You could feel it electrify the stadium like a defibrillator on a dead man's chest. Hard to convince him not to do it, when he hears the stadium's intensity go up as he's running.

and the extra point, well there are no more long extra points, ours was the last game for that experiment for this year. Now can we get back to regular football, with regular refereeing. All those preseason pranks from the NFL can back in the closet till next year thank you.

I lost count of all the flags but there were 8 thrown in the 1st Q alone. I saw one on Murphy that was pathetic. He was falling down near the QB's legs and they threw a flag. What's he suppose to do? Stop his fall in mid air? These zebras need to cool it. No one is there to see them throw flags.

Re: Gameday Thread: Browns vs. Redskins

Positives: 1. Defense continues to do what they should be doing against these teams with below averge QB play, dominate. 2. Our WRs are the best unit on the team. 3. Kerrigan and Rak look ready 4. CB play has been very good at every level. 5. Rambo and Ryan Grant I thought were standouts last night on their second units. Breeland too.

Negative: 1. RG3 bad hits, still needs to throw the ball away. Timing looks off with WR group. 2. Interior Oline had some problem with the fat boys of Cleveland. Saw Chester and Kory get dominated several times. 3. Turnovers 4. Helu had a terrible game...missed a block in protection, dropped a pass and got folded up too easy several times.

This penalty bullshit is enough, f*ck this

Yeah I can see where he probably gets a kick out of running and enjoys the contact to a degree too, but he's gotta wise up already. He does us no good sitting on the bench injured.

I don't know man... Hoyer was pretty bad too. He was throwing passes all over the place. But whatever, f*ck Johnny Foosball. I was a fan of his until that clown actually flipped off our sideline. WTF? And people talk about RG's character? LMAO.

Man, does Ryan Grant look good out there or what? That TD catch was just smooth all the way. Great move off the line. Heard he's been getting some reps with the ones in practice.

Rambo and Breeland made some good plays as well.

Someone said a while back that "Robert Griffin needs to understand he cant have a huge gain or a score on every play."
Hes showing that mentality now and better wise up or we will be drafting a new QB because he wont have any ACLs left to repair.
Learn to slide properly FFS, my Tee ballers could slide better than him.

Glad to see the defense looks better, not sure about the offense, but it looks like we have very good receivers. Luv Ryan Grant, looks like a future pro.

Keenan Robinson looked good.

Rambo looked better than last year.

Orakpo had one assist.....meh

And yes, Manziel is an idiot/douche bag.

As a season ticket holder that goes to every game, and has for a while, I can attest to the fact that we have among the lowest IQ fans-in-the-stadium in the league.

We also get really loud when our team is on offense.

It's what happens when you have decades of bad football. The quality fans stop going to the stadium and they get replaced by idiots. Hopefully a few winning seasons will restore the stadium attendee quality level.

I hope the Browns know that it is not too late to trade for Kirk Cousins.

them too. I just dont like this move towards spread, non contact game. Imo, we are already putting up rediculous numbers, lets pump the brakes a little bit. There needs to be more of a balance, i think Goodell could do more to stop this shift.
"Point of emphasis" on illegal contact/holding with WRs and DBS.
It's what happens when a team with a strong defense (Seattle) thoroughly dominates and wins the Superbowl. Then the NFL assumes low scoring great defensive football is boring. Terrible. The NFL should not run it's league by listening to fans that do not fully understand football. All they want is scoring. That is called NBA basketball. Defense becomes a joke.

Hmmm...as a long time Red Sox fan I saw the opposite. After 2004 Fenway was populated with a rich low IQ fan base.

Anywho when you are at the game your IQ drops it is the fun of being at the game.

Last night they said the Redskins have finished in last place of the NFC East 5 out of the last 6 seasons. Man we are a bad franchise. I knew that fact but it just really hit home when they said it last night.

What's so frustrating about the competition committee is it has three defensive coaches, Lewis, Tomlin and Fisher. Why are they pushing rules for the offense? All the defensive holding and illegal contacts calls are just out of control.
