Re: Around the League: Week 2
Some? Maybe?
have you read the washington post lately? twitter? have you seen what simply responding to a tweet from the Redskins about an upcoming game leads to?
Are you honestly insinuating that every Redskin fan is considered a racist by every non redskin fan. Just stop man. Youre killing me. Lol |
Re: Around the League: Week 2
So when you said you hope no Redskin gets caught in a hard to explain situation that had nothing to do with Rice or AP? When you said that the league is overreacting to everything rite now that had nothing to do with Rice or AP? Come on man.
When I said I hope no redskins player gets caught in a hard to explain situation, I said that because I think the league is going to go from severely underreacting in the rice situation (the original 2 game suspension) to the opposite side because of the backlash they've been receiving. I didn't say the league is overreacting to everything right now. I'm actually surprised the league hasn't done anything about peterson, though I expect the second indictment to do something. I expect them to over react right now on future issues. I may be wrong. |

No. I'm not. I'm saying that some are. If you read twitter or a Wise column, or interacted with opposing fans at the stadium over the last 2 years then you'd understand what I'm talking about. Did you hear Stephen A Smith's comments about VA redskins fans being a bunch of confederate flag toting racists? Basically saying our opinion on the matter has no merits? You ever read deadspin? Do you have a problem with reading comprehension? I cannot figure how you keep confusing what I'm saying. Maybe you're just reading what you want to read? |

if what comes out of this is that the league reacts properly, then i'll be happy. though my thought for years has been that trying to legislate behavior outside of the field is a tricky one and i expect it's just a matter of time before they slip up again. if it wasn't for the video the NFL would have gotten away completely free with their nonsense on the Rice issue. Don't forget that. Apparently there's a lot of people that don't understand what it takes to knock someone out, and just having a video of him dragging her out of the elevator unconscious wasn't enough. They needed to actually see him hit her to get angry and for the NFL to feel any pressure. Domestic violence with NFL players is not new. There's an unfortunately long history of it. It wasn't such a social issue until now... I'm curious how many people demanding Rice be run out of the league are bears fans with marshall jerseys. Or pay pay per view for floyd mayweather fights. Or any of the other ways people in sports guilty of domestic violence are being financially supported. Anyways... i'm skeptical at best that the result of this is going to be proper reaction from the league. But maybe that's just because I've grown to hate the league for the last 5 years :) |

Well some maybe. That's what you said. Which seems to imply that there's a chance it's not even going on. Go read twitter. Deadspin. a Wise article. It's going on, it's quite a few people. It's not everyone, it's not even half of the people that want the name changed, but it's certainly much more than "well some maybe" So yes. It's some people. But no, there's no maybe about it. And no, at no time did I imply that 'everyone' that wants the name changed is calling us racists. I'd prefer it if you stop trying to restate my opinions for me. |

Trent Richardson is a bitch for that fumble

Re: Around the League: Week 2
the colts are going to screw this up :\
that'll be two come from behind wins in a row for the eagles if they keep this going... hope the redskins plan on getting off to a good start and keeping it going... |
Re: Around the League: Week 2
Bottom Line, as Ash and Rave have also pointed out - bringing the name change thing into a discussion about child abuse and wife beating was and is and will always be "which of these things does not belong", whatever though - lets bring this thing back to football - GO COLTS!!!! effing Eagles winning these games in the second half is pissing me the hell off.
Ray Rice was cut. AP will be too.
Ray Rice was expendable and his numbers have declined the past 2 years. (especially last year) Had that been Joe Flacco, you think they would have cut him? Hell no. |
Re: Around the League: Week 2
ugh.
i thought the colts might have gotten their act together... the eagles looked like trash early but they're good enough you cannot let them hang around... |
Re: Around the League: Week 2
bad call...
|
Re: Around the League: Week 2
Luck is still throwing those rookie interceptions I see.

Absolutely would have. No other choice. Oh and eff u Eagles. God dammit. |
Re: Around the League: Week 2
Absolutely would have
really? cause they were happy not disciplining rice at all until the last video was released... this is the organization that trotted the wife out to have her accept responsibility, then highlighted it. a fanbase that gave rice a standing ovation at training camp. have we forgotten how this all went down again? the NFL and the Ravens would have done absolutely nothing if they could have gotten away with it. Like they have with all the other domestic violence issues over the last few decades. You can't honestly be buying this bullshit from the league about suddenly caring, can you? |
Re: Around the League: Week 2
Refs have fucked the Colts on some big calls the past few drives.
|
Around the League: Week 2
really?
cause they were happy not disciplining rice at all until the last video was released...
Its got everything to do with the video. Duh. Once Flacco was caught on camera his fate would have been sealed too. No doubt about it. |

oh yeah, i get it. majority of americans are too stupid to understand what domestic violence really is. they have to see a video of it to suddenly care. |

Your an angry man. Lol. Look I dont know who in the NFL cares about what. I do know that once that video went public - i dont care who you are - your fate is sealed. Thats all i am saying. |
Re: Around the League: Week 2

you really should focus on your own opinions instead of trying to create everyone else's for them. |

damnit colts... i knew you were going to screw this up :(
|
Re: Around the League: Week 2
hope the redskins were paying attention...
you cannot let the eagles hang around... they're not that bad. |
Re: Around the League: Week 2
I think our pass rush is able to be to Foles, something the Colts couldnt do. Containing Sproles and McCoy is a different story.
|
Re: Around the League: Week 2
Well crap the bed Fred.

Re: Around the League: Week 2
The colts had a terrible play call with 3 min left.

hopefully they come out aggressive and build on their week two performance. momentum can be a bitch. hopefully we've have some going our way now :) |
Re: Around the League: Week 2
I wasnt happy when the Eagles signed Sproles,I really wanted us to sign him,I dont know who were gonna have to keep up with him.One things for sure,no lead is gonna be safe against them, that is if we ever get a lead

Sorry you didn't enjoy being called out on it.
Woah, woah, woah... what I didn't like is you insinuating that I'm the Griffin version of an LOF. Basically saying that if Griffin left for another team, I would leave the Redskins and root for that team. So, so far from the truth. Yeah, I'm a big fan of Griffin and I can't wait until he's healthy because he's Washington's starting QB. If Cousins ever wins the job, it'll be the same story with him. |
