Raheem Morris - pink slip
Chris Foester- pink slip
Scott Campbell- pink slip
Bruce Allen- you can stay but no more GM duties or football related decisions
People keep talking about that option but it is completely untenable. Bruce is just going to renounce being the grand poobah of personnel to worry about things like parking spaces alone?

Name one other person in NFL history (who wasn't angling for retirement) who had control over personnel and then voluntarily stepped back to worry only about printing tickets and things like that.

We're all in on Bruce. Either he is our personnel leader or he is no longer at Redskins Park. There is no middle ground.

If you saw the post I made on the "everything Gruden thread", you'll see it's a huge possibility of that happening.

I didn't say Bruce had to relinquish the duties himself. Dan can pull those duties away, but if Bruce's presence is a problem for the next GM, I say get rid of Bruce's ass too.

That's it. It inevitably WILL be a problem.

Analogy: you can't demote a McDonald's manager to making french fries alone. First, the demoted manager who has self-respect will not tolerate it. Second, even if they tried, the simultaneous presence of the current manager and the former manager would make for factionalism, bad blood, and dysfunction.

Either Bruce is our personnel leader or he is out the door, there is no middle ground.

If Haslett is retained fans should boycott and protest at games, maybe Dan will hear it then.

CSN Bay Area reports the 49ers spoke with ex-Redskins coach Mike Shanahan on Tuesday.

Shanahan didn't have a formal interview, and it's unclear what the discussion was about, but we assume it's in regards to the team's head-coaching vacancy. The Cleveland Plain Dealer reported on Tuesday that Mike's son, Browns OC Kyle Shanahan, is also on the 49ers' list. Shanahan took the 2014 season off after compiling a 24-40 record in four seasons with the Redskins from 2010-2013. He coached in San Francisco from 1992-1994 as the 49ers' offensive coordinator

Oh god, that Bruce presser.

He instills ZERO confidence in anything Redskins related. The guy looks like he's in over his head with limited understanding on what his job as Pres/GM really is.

The guy's just so old school and conservative. Makes me disgusted that this is the guy who's being every decision our franchise makes. Blah

EDIT: He's lucky as hell that his last name is Allen.

IMO this is rather naive of you.

There's no secret or surprise as to why RG3 is where he is today. He did nothing along the way to be treated as the end all be all to our off season success.

He's not good anymore, I agree, but why the hell would the Redskins show a lack of patience and act ruthlessly with Robert? We suck, we have time and there's no clear cut alternative.

I don't consider it ruthless. We need a responsible decision maker in the pocket while we build up our offensive line. Then in a deeper qb draft in a year or two we make a move. Robert is a distraction, a poor decision maker, and a constant reminder of how not to draft.

I don't think Robert is an example of poor drafting. He broke the mold as a QB, we lived and died with his health and in the end nobody learned anything because Mariota will go #1 this year.

I guess we can agree to disagree, but I don't want my team cutting ties with a guy that has a probowl, playoff appearance to his name at 24. Injuries are real. He's an option if nothing else.

Not only is he a master of saying nothing, he's seemingly the master of knowing nothing.

It doesn't even seem like he's tight lipped and nervously trying to say the right things. He comes across as incredibly stupid and unintelligent.

Exactly! There are no better QB options for next year might as well try to make something out of RG3, Kirk, and some other option. Sorry I think Colt sucks.

QB is not our biggest issue right now.

Not going to happen. Their offensive line across the board is too big and strong and effective to run his offense.

He will have to rebuild/dismantle their line before he starts.

He made the probowl and the playoffs as a running QB. He and RGII decided he was no longer a running QB.

He reinforced that decision almost every time he ran read option this year by handing the ball off despite plenty of wide open space to pick up 8-10 sometimes more untouched yards.

His accomplishments are a non factor because he no longer plays the same way he did in 2012.

What has he done since his conversion to a pocket passer?

It's easier to recognize what he hasn't done. He targeted one pass against Dallas greater than 10 yards through the air. That is a single pass attempted greater than 10 yards. With one of the biggest deep threats in the league on our team it's a 50/50 shot DJax comes down with it if he just throws it out in front of him.

He is about as effective as Peyton Manning would be if Manning and his dad, Archie decided he was no longer going to pass from the pocket and he was going to be an option QB.

Read this article today in the Washington post. It points out a lot of truly sad facts about how this organization has been at the bottom of the NFC since the 1993-1994 season.

NFC teams have won at least 11 games 69 times... Washington is the only team to have never done that at least once.

There have been 42 teams that played in the NFC Championship game. Washington and Detroit are the only two teams during that time span that have not made it to the NFC Championship Game.

In the past 7 years, 14 of the 16 NFC teams have had at least two winning seasons. Washington and st. Louis are the two teams withoUT the two winning seasons.

Glad to be at the bottom of the NFC the past 15ish years.

The most amazing thing about ho bad the Skins have been over the last 2 decades is that it is still the NFL's most profitable team. According to Forbes the Skins made 50% more profit than the #2 Dallas. It has to be the only business in the world, that delivers a crappy product and pisses off their customers and still rakes in the cash.
