Brunell's arm was shot and he was captain check down by 2006.
So true. I remember he broke some kind of record for consecutive passes without an incompletion and it was just a check down jamboree. |
Re: Around the NFL: Offseason edition 2.0
Just for the record I was being extremely sarcastic about everyone not getting a shot....well except OJ. He got robbed....

Yup. He was painful to watch. |
Re: Around the NFL: Offseason edition 2.0
Brunell was the complete opposite of RG3. He would throw it away almost every other pass.

Reminds me of Trump.
Racism can be ignorant, but being ignorant doesn't always mean you're racist. I'm not going to defend how ignorant she is because I think that speaks for itself, but as someone who has someone else to thank for achieving their current status in life, I can easily see why she would think that being friends with well-connected people would be a major reason someone who sucks at their job would be able to retain their job. Calling them "jew buddies" is a very poor choice of words though. She has always had a penchant for picking her words very poorly, and this case was no different. Maybe I would believe that she's racist if she used the Dolphins brass as an excuse to denounce all Jewish people in high ranking positions. |

Isaiah Crowell being the latest example. I can't believe he's still with her either, if I remember correctly her being an ignorant loudmouth actually cost him money in free agency. |

Also yes 100% relationships play a huge part in every job on every level. No doubt there are people in Miami who probably do not deserve there jobs. But welcome to the real world lady and YES "jew buddies " is a horrible choice of words. Actually just bringing up the fact that they're jewish is definitely not wise. Comes across pretty racist sounding to me, but alas she has nothing to do with my team or my life...thank God. |

I think alot of the check down stuff was because neither he (Brunell) or most anyone else really knew what in the hell they were supposed to do with Al Saunders' offense. Chris Cooley gave an interview in 2007 where he said when guys lined up they basically had no idea what they were supposed to do... |

Somehow I imagine by the time he is 31 that contract will either be re-worked or manageable to get out of. I'm sure the cash upfront was for salary cap purposes, about 4Mil a year of built in push. |

Denver isn't really paying a QB for several years so they can afford it. They have to pay someone. But there is no way he lives up to the contract. No way.
