As a cherry on top, did we get any kinds of sandwiches thrown in from Denver.

Exactly!

"Six more days, that's what's getting me through this right now."

Referring to six more days until camp breaks.

Good riddance. Montae and DJ will set the standard and uphold the culture in the secondary.

Re: Sua Cravens

I know he's not a good player, but that video says it all: I'll take a Will Compton over a Su'a Cravens any day of the week.

Give me the lesser talent who's willing to give it his all over the talented player who doesn't give a shit.

The guy doesn't seem to want to play football, I can't believe Denver really wanted him

Exactly this....I called it last year...he didn’t want to be here.

Hey simply never wanted to be here.

One on the worst picks in the last 10 years by the front office.

But I think Bruce did a great job to salvage the situation.

I dont think he wants to play at all

Re: Sua Cravens

I like the idea of having 6 picks in the 1st six rounds. Obviously 5th is lower than the 3rd we lost for Alex, but you can find a young slot corner or starting guard in the 5th round (not limited to this, just examples). I never really thought of Cravens as part of the team for this year anyways. Feels like free pick.

CRedskinsRule 03-28-2018 12:57 PM

Re: Sua Cravens

So we have 8 picks, 6 in rounds 4-7. That's good shots in the later rounds, or ammunition to move to the lower 3rd if a player stands out.

If we do end up trading down in the first a few spots and get the 3rd back this could be another good to very good draft class, and next year we should have 2-3 extra compensatory spots as well.

Pretty good moves right now. Let's hope it all translates to the field of play.

Did Denver look at this before they made this deal?? He didn't want to be at camp because he needed to go home and be on Snaptalk. Matt Jones and Cravens were two terrible picks Scot.

Any compensation is good for me. Teams could have easily waited out until we release him.

Any changes to our salary cap with this trade? Just curious.

I agree. If he didn't want to be here, why not ask for a trade like every other player?

There's gems in the late rounds. We just have to find the guys that love football and are miserable w/out it. I want to see Robert Davis and Holsey do something this year. Two late rounders w/ potential.

With Allen running the draft? Really?
We used a second round pick to draft Sua. Free pick?
This move is wasteful and full of ego. We should have kept Sua.

From JP Findlay in NBCSports, a now deleted Tweet from Cravens' former agent, said something along the lines of:

"Word to the wise, if it happens once, then twice, it will happen a third time."

Obviously regarding Cravens and his issues.

Agreed. If they were not 100% sure he'd be committed and earn his spot in the locker room back, any compensation is fine.

I think you're in the minority on keeping him.

Got our qb issue resolved, got the Cravens issue resolved and recouped a pick. Man, I'll take it. Lockerroom chemistry is gonna be way better. The 2 clouds hanging over the team have been blown away.

I've done so many simulated mock drafts and there are always a lot of good players still left in the 5th round. Very good trade. I expected a 6th or 7th. I think dickfuck actually got one right today.

Compton was a character guy that contributed to the fullest extent of his ability, which was limited. Sua is the exact opposite, extremely talented, bad character, and not willing to make a real effort.

Hate that we "lost" a 2nd round pick.
Hate that he's only 22 years old and cheap.
But I know 5th rounder is fine to get rid of a guy who would kill the locker room.

This may be great for Denver - if the kid gets his act together he could be great, and they got him for almost free. if not, I doubt they'll miss the 5th rounder.
