I love how sensitive some of you guys are. You get called a moron and that hurts your feelings? The presence of the word fucking, OH MY GOD NOW IT'S TOO MUCH, MAKE IT STOP!!
Should I post a trigger warning next time? Do you need a safe space? Good Lord, grow a pair would ya? |
Re: The FINAL Kirk Cousins Saga thread. 5.0
This better end in any option besides Cousins playing on this team again on a 1 year deal. I will lose my shit like S10 seeing fake news.

LOL! This is the post of the year so far. The movie is going along just how you predicted. This afternoon we should see an updated Salary Cap Spreadsheet. Maybe he will wow us with a pivot table! |
Dan and Bruce like Kirk. But they want a guy that's sexy. They want a guy that can bring the fans back. That ain't Cousins.
Maybe I'm getting old and I've never been part of an NFL front office but what I think is sexy and will bring the fans back is winning. Not some flashy kid who lights it up in college and can barely see over the line in the pros. |

Don't give the FO any ideas. They might sign Manziel instead of drafting the OU kid. |
Re: The FINAL Kirk Cousins Saga thread. 5.0
Why are you guys arguing over the Moron comment?? Did I miss something, I'm too lazy to scroll back and look lol. Why are some guys now pussies? Damn I missed a lot last night apparently.

Man it sure sounds like that Fake news of the franchise tag is coming more and more true you fucks. LOL, No but seriously this sounds just like last yr. Unreal |

So basically no real news yet. Yawn. I’m sure we’ll get the same story next week.

Water is not wet if you believe it to be and explain it with a bunch of double talk. And one guy has appointed himself Man Up trainer. Its sort of like boot camp with out all the jumping jacks. |

Unreal
I don't know how you read that and think it's more likely to happen. It was already possible, and based on that comment by Jay, it's no more possible today than it was yesterday. I don't understand. He says he'll coach whoever's in the building, no matter what the deals are. Well duh. What else would he do? He acknowledges in the same interview (not summarized by NBC in your link) that he leaves all of the negotiations up to the front office. Nothingburger with cheese. |

I tend to agree with that. Schneed would make Baker Mayfield cry. |

Re: The FINAL Kirk Cousins Saga thread. 5.0
You're confusing grabbing pussys with being one.
|
Re: The FINAL Kirk Cousins Saga thread. 5.0
Sad thing is, if the front office does manage to tag and keep cousins, this won’t be the final thread by a long shot. If there’s one thing our front office produces, it’s stupid drama. :-(
|
Re: The FINAL Kirk Cousins Saga thread. 5.0
One thing you can count on in all of this is drama. No matter what happens someone will have their panties in a bunch over it.
|
Re: The FINAL Kirk Cousins Saga thread. 5.0
Anyone listen to ESPN radio in the mornings? This morning they had Joe Thomas in studio and they asked him, point blank "If he was making the decisions in Cleveland, what would he do?". No hesitation in his answer. He said Cleveland has $119M in cap space, his first priority would be to sign Kirk Cousins. Then use that 1 & 4 pick on Barkley and one of the top defensive prospects. Said those moves and the team improves dramatically overnight.
|
Re: The FINAL Kirk Cousins Saga thread. 5.0
I would.prefer that we do a sign and trade with the Browns. We'd get one of their top 4 picks and they take Kirk on a one year deal for 34 mil.

Why the hell would they take him on a one year deal and give up the 4th pick??? Are you being facetious, or assuming that Kirk would negotiate a long-term deal? :confused?: |
Re: The FINAL Kirk Cousins Saga thread. 5.0
When was the last time a sign and trade even went down in the NFL?
|
Re: The FINAL Kirk Cousins Saga thread. 5.0
^Sadly that's part of the allure to Bruce and Danny. Lets do a sign and trade just to blow people's mind of...hey this still exist.

With this front office...nothing will surprise me. When was the last time a team franchised their starting QB for 2 seasons? |
Re: The FINAL Kirk Cousins Saga thread. 5.0
I will take literally any other option besides Kirk being on this team again on a 1 year deal. So I'm looking at a possible 6 months of watching to hope this does not occur. Sounds great.

As bad as I want Kirk here long term, I'd rather have Colt start, no long term solution behind him and know next season is a rebuilding one than another year of "too cheap to marry you, too coward to break up with you" ! Envoyé de mon SM-J320FN en utilisant Tapatalk |

When was the last time an NFL team franchised their starting QB for 3 seasons in a row? We might do it. The Redskins seem determined to make history and not in a good way. What else is new. |

Any smart decision by this franchise would require atleast one single person in the FO that knows anything about building a football team. That one person is the single greatest need for this team right now. |

This team has been rebuilding since Y2K but the past 2 season it seems like the end of the rebuild is finally in sight. Letting KC go pushes the reset button on this team and God only knows how many years it takes to get back to where they are now. |

I don't think letting kirk go means we will suck, look at the rookies that have come in and led their teams to good seasons. |

Nothing this franchise does gives me confidence that they can bring in a rookie at any position, let alone QB, who will lead the team to success. |

2012 Bro... But I hear ya man it sucks to be us right now. Can Washington Redskins sign Kirk Cousins and still build around him? - Washington Redskins Blog- ESPN “It’s unique this year,” Banner said. “There are a couple of veteran quarterbacks out there other than [Cousins] who could be available, so there’s a possibility for other options that might be more affordable and present an opportunity to build around them at a more affordable price. That’s why this [situation] is more challenging.” Which hurts Kirk iMO and helps us |

Gruden has a proven track record with QB’s and scheming an offense to get good production from the position. If we move on from Kirk whoever takes over is in good hands.

Dalton and Cousins have both been very good with Jay, I agree I'm not too concerned but that doesn't mean you just let KC walk away and start Colt. |

Are you being facetious, or assuming that Kirk would negotiate a long-term deal? :confused?:
I do think it's a possibility he'd sign a LTD w/ them. They could draft Barkley, you have a good O-line and Josh Gordon coming back. Plus they'd still have $ to go get more players. |
