Haskins?
No but AZ is 90% I'd say.
There is much talk of Rosen to NY for their third round pick. |
Re: Josh Rosen Trade Rumors: Redskins Have 'Openly' Discussed QB If Made Available
If multiple teams are interested it's going to take more than a 3rd.
|
Re: Josh Rosen Trade Rumors: Redskins Have 'Openly' Discussed QB If Made Available
I would rather have Drew lock than Rosen... think about it the Cards were the worst team last year and have given up on a QB in one year.. I don’t like Rosen at all .. not even for a 3rd .. Lock for me!
|
Re: Josh Rosen Trade Rumors: Redskins Have 'Openly' Discussed QB If Made Available
They're not giving up on Rosen as much as it's about a new coach taking over and he has the chance to take "his guy".
|
Re: Josh Rosen Trade Rumors: Redskins Have 'Openly' Discussed QB If Made Available
If it's more than a 2 I'm out on Rosen, I'd rather just roll with Keenum for the yr. Haskins won't be there at 15 and I don't want to mortgage the future for him (2012).
|
Re: Josh Rosen Trade Rumors: Redskins Have 'Openly' Discussed QB If Made Available
I won't be surprised if someone gives up a 1st rd pick for Rosen. Teams basically have to put him on their draft board and evaluate him as if he's just coming out. The Giants with 1.17 could be in play.

Yeah we need a QB but not this bad, and Haskins is no Andrew Luck - Manning. U would have no fans show to games for sure if this happened |

Yep,that's why I cant vote in the poll, how can you vote yes or no when you dont know what the terms are? |
Re: Josh Rosen Trade Rumors: Redskins Have 'Openly' Discussed QB If Made Available
Am i crazy for wanting to roll with Keenum, Colt, and a late round rookie (or even Josh Johnson) and then going after Tua, Herbert, or Fromm next year? I like all of those guys better than any rookie this year (or Rosen).
I'd even be a fan of trading our 2nd this year for a 1st next year to give us extra ammo in next years draft to move up to get one of those guys. A 2nd is likely not going to be an immediate difference-maker in terms of wins-losses this year, so why not? I understand Bruce should be on thin ice and that this should be a "win or get fired" year for him, but I think his position is actually safe. Snyder like him for some crazy reason. A true Franchise QB is the only thing that can ever turn this team around, and it would be very prudent of Bruce to position himself to get one next year). I genuinely don't see any of this years rookies (excluding Murray) giving us a better chance to win in 2019 than Keenum or McCoy. Additionally, the draft capital it would take to move up to get Haskins (for example), this year will be much more costly (this years first, this years 2nd, next years first and something else at minimum) than positioning ourselves to get a MUCH better QB next year (possibly just this years second for a first next year), so why not do that? |

I'd love Tua but I believe he's going to be a top 5 pick. We would have to finish 3-13 and I think Case is better than that |

Re: Josh Rosen Trade Rumors: Redskins Have 'Openly' Discussed QB If Made Available
Take Lock or Haskins at 15, trade anything lower than a 1st for Rosen, or spend any round 2 pick or later on the remaining QB prospects. These are all reasonable. Giving the farm for a team with more holes than swiss cheese is an atrocious idea.

True, but if we had TWO firsts next year (the one we earn based on our standings this year and a second 2020 first we get from trading our 2019 second), that would give us ammo to move up into the top 5. The pick we acquire from the other team could be anywhere, but we consistently seem to have picks between 11-20. Depending on where those two picks ended up, we might need to sweeten the pot, but probably not by much. |

I'm not against moving up a few spots, but going up to 3 is too costly.

Re: Josh Rosen Trade Rumors: Redskins Have 'Openly' Discussed QB If Made Available
Haskins at 15 would be radical.
Rosen for a 2nd rd pick or less, tubular. Keenum playing more like he did in 2017, cowabunga! McCoy throwing 80 yard touchdowns to himself? PIZZA! |
Re: Josh Rosen Trade Rumors: Redskins Have 'Openly' Discussed QB If Made Available
According to Joel Klatt of Fox Sports, three teams are "very interested" in acquiring Josh Rosen from the Cardinals.
Those three teams are the Chargers, Giants and Patriots. It makes sense as Philip Rivers, Tom Brady and Eli Manning are all nearing the finish line and Rosen would be an ideal successor for any of the three. Per Klatt, one team has already offered Arizona a second-round pick for Rosen, though the Cardinals are apparently holding out for a first-rounder. With newly-minted coach Kliff Kingsbury making no effort to hide his infatuation with reigning Heisman-winner Kyler Murray, the Cardinals may not have much leverage in trade discussions. Rosen labored through a difficult rookie season in 2018, though coaching turnover and a weak supporting cast were at least partially to blame for his struggles. The 22-year-old should benefit from a change of scenery. I bet our 2nd round pick would get it done |

Article on CBS Sports claims that only the Patriots, Giants and Chargers are interested in Rosen, no mention of the Redskins. Listening to the Fan yesterday in the afternoon the hoist seemed to think from talking to Gruden the Redskins could very well do nothing more this year at the QB spot, including not drafting anyone.

exactly my feelings. My fear is the 'big splash' The Big Splash reared its head with Collins signing. And attempting to get Mosley. I don't want another RG3 trade made by Bruce. Don't trust it. |

John Clayton was on Sirius XM last night and he said the Skins are still interested but it's unlikely they move a draft pick in this years draft for Rosen. So if this and the CBS reports are true, it really could be Case Keenum 2019... LOL |

Re: Josh Rosen Trade Rumors: Redskins Have 'Openly' Discussed QB If Made Available
I wonder if Jay has any pull on who his QB is, I mean this guy has not had much help from the fucking F/O. Let Kirk walk, get Alex who really never fit the system Jay loves to run. Now you go out and trade for a career back-up who had a miracle 2017 season that really was just an Avg year for 90% of the QB's. It seems like they really want to set Jay up for failure. Jay said he knows the urgency in finding a QB, and Bruce says "we are ok with Case and Colt"

Re: Josh Rosen Trade Rumors: Redskins Have 'Openly' Discussed QB If Made Available
I think Kevin OConnell will get input if there is a QB he likes if it gives him a chance to work with if there is a FO plan to move him to HC when the season is over. There is evidence that could be the plan.

It would be interesting to be a fly on the wall in the Redskin front office, to know what is the god honest truth on who said what and what is nothing but BS spin for the media. I don't know if it was the Fan or one of the two ESPN stations I get as I was station hopping driving in the Richmond area yesterday morning, I heard that the coaches plead their case on what players they want and why, then Bruce Allen makes the final decision. In other words Allen doesn't research or vet players, he bases his decision on input of others. So if what I heard was true, Jay isn't getting his QB because Allen is taking someone else's suggestions over Gruden. |

The draft got moved from the end of March, right? Just figure the Redskin front office will screw it up, set your expectations low, so it won't take much to make you happy. |

It's pure dysfunction. The majority owner can't get the correct structure and the right people in place for the organization. I hope he fires everyone after this year, and gets better leadership in place. |
