Re: 2011 Redskins Free Agents Rumors and Reports-Part 3
I think Tatupu's best days are behind him, i say pass on him
|
Re: 2011 Redskins Free Agents Rumors and Reports-Part 3
he came to FA too late and lost out on good money. If he's cheap he'd be a great insurance plan, but he doesn't really fit our system.

Lofa came in for a visit after Rocky was already signed. That rotoworld quote must be a writers opinion.

Sad for Henson, whose tweet from the other day now looks prophetic. He's good enough to find a new home when he's healthy. |

I think it is. The Post's guy says that we are still interested in him. Josh Wilson is recruiting him like crazy, because they're friends. Lofa can't go back to seattle. Chicago wants him, but he can't play middle there, and he wants some money. I say he could still sign here. If not, he could go to NYG or Philly. |
Robert Henson just got released.
I wonder why? By all means it didn't sound like he was one of those players that was a bad scheme fit, and all the fans sounded optimistic about his chances of being good this year. W/e though. |
Re: 2011 Redskins Free Agents Rumors and Reports-Part 3
Good for him. I mean, not good that he got released. But he had little to no shot of making it so good that it happened now and he's got a chance to move on to somewhere else
Since when has he had little shot of making it? I thought people were saying he could be a starter. News to me.... |
Re: 2011 Redskins Free Agents Rumors and Reports-Part 3
Hard to make the team if you can't get on the field, and you weren't a lock to begin with.

Yeah whoever was saying that has no say in deciding the roster. Henson's value was going to be as a special teams player. Unfortunately, being on the PUP list just didn't help him. Personally, I think they cut him too soon for the team's sake yet not too soon for his sake. Still don't know what's happening with Chris Wilson |
Re: 2011 Redskins Free Agents Rumors and Reports-Part 3
Well in order to sign someone new we had to start cutting people. So who's gunna get signed?

Clausen, Tebow, Pike or Skelton. |

Henson was on the PUP list. He doesn't count |
Re: 2011 Redskins Free Agents Rumors and Reports-Part 3
The Redskins quietly have been bringing in veteran players during the bargain-basement portion of the free-agent period. The newest addition is linebacker Keyaron Fox, according to Chris Russell of ESPN 980. Fox, a seven-year veteran, spent four seasons with the Chiefs before playing for the Steelers over the last three. Fox served as special-teams captain in 2009 and 2010. In 2009, Fox returned an interception 82 yards for a touchdown in a game against Brett Favre and the then 6-0 Vikings.
|
