Downstairs toilette was running ,it's relatively new ,no flapper a big cylinder type thing in tank. Kollar toilette to replace that one cylinder piece..$350, WTF??? Went back and checked ,I only paid for $250 for it new 5 years ago . I went on line and learned to adjust the water height seems to have worked for now.

I generally find taking notes to be a waste of time. Especially since most meetings have hand outs or the meeting notes emailed to you afterward. I always bring a pad of paper and a pen to a meeting though, if you don't people assume you're some sort of animal.

LOL! This is so true.

I see people feverishly writing down notes in meetings, I think to myself do you have no ability to retain information spoken to you.

I bring the notebook for doodling.

I always say: to some the meeting room is a prison to others its their stage to perform. I hate the latter.

Youre at work, sitting at your desk doing desk work things like posting on warpath and have some nice jazz playing quietly from youtube.

Then your brain says "hold up, weve been listening to this infomercial for a nutrition powder for 5 minutes now".

I mean, I bought the guys product and all but I hate when youtube slips in those 5 min ads 1 hour into a 3 hours music mix.

Hates strong, dislike is better.

When you go to make coffee in the break room then a co-worker comes in and begins telling you a golf story. You think and hope its just about one particular awesome or funny shot ... but no, its a recitation of each and every shot hole by freaking hole.

I literally just walked away on the 10th hole.

If you are going to tell a golf story, make it 30 seconds or less. I dont need a 10 minute self gratulating narration of how good you are at golf disguised as some "let me tell you a story" quickie.

Nothing kills the vibe like a YT commercial in the midst of a song. Those fuckers need a competitor because the ads are getting unbearable nowadays.

I used to work with this woman and all she wanted to talk about was her kids. She was such a sweet person so I always felt bad, but man, can we just talk about something else for a minute? Anything else going on in your life other than what your kids are up to?

Our secretary in our office is new. When she comes to tell you something she can't tell when the conversation is over. So I'll start working again and she will oddly stand behind me for like another 30 seconds. So awkward.

I think it's a requirement that every office have the awkward talker. Got a guy in my office like that, super nice, but doesn't know when the conversation is over. Likes to linger until he thinks of something else to say. Meanwhile I've already turned around and pretending to look busy.

I dated this woman a couple years ago and all she talked about was working out to the point she would constantly take pictures of her gym routines and send them too me. I would send her articles about how women were becoming addicted to working out and physical appearance.

Another office character that everyone has is the constant eater. Someone that is always snacking, always bringing in food, always microwaving something, candy wrappers all over, etc. I worked next to a woman who had a complete set of silverware in her desk FFS.

Idc if someone snacks alot but if they chew loud ill sit there dreaming about punching them in the face. Absolutely nothing worse than someone making mouth love to their food in a quiet office.

LOL, I have to laugh at these stories. After almost 40 years of working in a big warehouse environment I never had any of these issues ,I had never worked in an Office, ever . I was retired for 4 years and got what I thought was a part time job which became full time for the State in the Judiciary and I'm now in an "Office and a Cube" and everything you guys are saying is true!!!! It's driving me nuts!

Any of you use a food delivery service? I signed up to Door Dash about two months ago and I must say I am impressed. I have had one problem and they made it right but it was the restaurant fault and that "grinds my gears" they have lost my business for good, Carrabba's ! The delivery guy doesn't know the order ,it was 11 items and when we got it it was 11 items but not one thing we ordered . We have eaten at this place and even sitting in the restaurant they got it wrong ,fuck em!
