While I agree that Fetterman is not healthy enough to hold a Senate seat, you can say it as simple as that, without calling him a retard. I personally don't like the guy, but the word retard is definitely not it when discussing his issues, especially since hundreds of thousands to millions of Americans are inflicted with similar problems.

Just because someone decides to use a descriptive term (in this case a medically descriptive term that was not created to be an insult) as an insult doesn't invalidate the term or definition. The correct term to use for someone who actually is mentally retarded is mentally retarded. Challenged doesn't accurately medically describe the condition - mentally retarded does (People also like to use challenged for any number of disabilities - wrongly imo).
