My condolences. I have hair everywhere except on top of my head. Hair growing in the ungodliest of places.

I don't mind shaving my head - just wish I could shave it one more time and then be done with it. Some days I just don't have the time to spend an extra 20 min in the shower shaving my dome.
If there was a pill tomorrow with little to no side effects that would grow back my hair, I'd take it in a second. I don't mind having a buzz cut, it sure saves a lot of time and money going to a barber, but it would be nice to just have some options.

Yep lol. I would do either one - a pill that either regrows all my hair or removes it completely. None of this cul-de-sac bullshit where it becomes obvious I don't have any hair if I don't shave it every couple of days.
So I'm taking a mandatory Storm Readiness class as I'm an insurance agent. They have spent 2 hours showing us all the premiums collect versus claims paid out. What a waste of my time. I guess at some point they will actually talk about storm readiness.
Note to self: storms = bad for business. Great seminar!

Fantasy football players that celebrate a touchdown in public like their favorite team scored. I'm sitting next to an asshole that is bouncing around like a tweaker with a player on all 3 TVs we can see.

This guy is an asshole in general, I can tell that.

And it's not like he is drunk. He is drinking 7-up. So he's freeloading the Sunday Ticket on top of being an annoying fuck.

Re: What REALLY grinds your gears?

I sometimes like playing fantasy football, nothing grinds my gears more then hear someone talk about their team. No one cares but you about your wet dream team, fuck off.

Alone cross fit people are more annoying talking about workouts.

New Years Eve grinds my gears. Young no kids, go party balls to the wall. Great, good for you, Ill Pelosi slow clap in your direction. Go do rails in a bathroom, pee your pants and fuck a fat chick for the both of us.

Kids? Like wtf do you do on NYE with a young one? Watch anderson cooper and crazy annoying lady?

My kid always wants to "party" on NYE. I cant party with you, youre 9 years old. Ill sit there and sip my vodka mule and well play some got damn monopoly and go fish. Maybe get crazy make some smores in the fireplace and a nice chacuterie plate.

And that fucking song everyone tries to sing but no one knows the words to. You just stand there and hum 99% of it until we get to the "tis be forgotten" part.

Re: What REALLY grinds your gears?

NYE gotta be the most overrated evening. The last 10 years ive been out once or twice, but staying at home is my go too these days.

I’ll grab a nice bottle of burbon and reflect on the year at home. Probably make some old fashions.

Eat something good

Saint Patty's Day, talk about cultural appropriation lol. Everyone in the country becomes Irish.

Any day that the whole world is going out for, is gonna be over-rated.

Best day of the year to go out: AFC/NFC Championship Sunday. Hands down imo.

Maybe one decade we will play in the NFC game.

I only remember one truly memorable NYE party, I was a year out of high school, my friends and I crashed a party. I had a 64 oz Colt 45 with me, thought I was king shit. Did a bunch of shots and we all got rowdy, girls at the party were handing out smooches like candy at midnight, ended up throwing up when I got home and had to call in sick to work the next day. Good times.

Giantone 12-30-2021 06:06 PM

Re: What REALLY grinds your gears?

Best NYE's I was at a local Bar with friends but I was single at the time and it was great ! I learned it's better to be the sober one on NYE not that I didn't want to party but I got way more...NYE affection sober then being a slobbering drunk .

I would never be out in the New York New Years thing in Times Square…little surprised they are having it in the covid outbreak there.

Even without the covid outbreak you couldn't pay me to attend. Hard pass on that one.

Ive had some amazing, mind blowing NYE experiences in my youth.

In my older age Ive wanted to do one of those high end ballroom all inclusive parties. $200 per person, get a hotel room, dress up, drink, eat, dance.

As anyone done one of those?

Same here, that does not look enjoyable at all. And it has nothing to do with COVID.

*Raises hand*

Phish New Year’s Eve show MSG…afterwards walking around the city on shrooms and drinking to sun up pretty amazing. Probably my best trip…but but been to NYC a bunch younger, always fun.

It was either 2001 or 2002. Some promotion company did a all you can drink, live bands and had craps and roulette tables going $10 minimum up to $100 min tables on the piers where the aquarium is. They had massive tents. It was alright you spent 30 minutes trying to get a drink. I figured if I was paying $150 for event I was going to drink Bulleit Burbon or woodford but you got a splash and had to wait to ask for another. I really hated it but then again I don’t like people in large quantities

Automatic phone updates can rot in hell. Always some tweaks that does nothing but change something I'm already used to, with no actual improvements.

Broken signals. Where I'm at, lights constantly change red for no reason. So there will be cars sitting there on the main street while the side street has a green light with no cars.

If I'm 1st in line, I treat them like stop signs. Always hilarious just going thru while 10 cars behind me are half thinking what is he doing and half thinking I want to do that too.

Weird ... where I live they change colors as well but not just red, theyll turn to green and yellow as well. Its like theyre on a cycle on something.

I treat the red stop lights like red stop lights.

Red = stop

Green = go

Yellow = pee

edit - (I used "as well" twice in one sentence = poor sentence structure and writing imo ... but Im not sure if I use "to" or "too" to replace one of the "as well"s so Im just going to leave it be but I want you the reader of this edit note to know that I know that is a shitty and poorly written sentence and that reflects poorly and shitally on me as the writer. You the reader are doing a great job if you got this far and I appreciate that and you.)

Im gonna have to channel my inner traffic cop and advise you to wait for a green light here SD.
Here in Jersey there are lights that will immediately turn green again if they sense no cars coming the other way but I usually wait even if they dont.

My kid won an award at school today during an award ceremony and they announced all the kids get a free pizza coupon from Ledos!

Cool! Awesome!

She won the same award last year and Ledos coupon was limited to one location in like Fairfax, Virginia.

She goes to Howard County Maryland public school. I might have posted this last year, I just think its funny and genius. Free advertising, that location gets to promote how they support schools etc .. an no one will EVER redeem the free coupon.

Im going to offer the school coupons for a free DUI representation for the kids!!! Yay!!

Haha. Shit man. I remember visiting some relatives down there when I was like 7 years old maybe 8? We stopped at a Ledos. Me and my younger brother thought it was the greatest pizza ever. Fast forward like 35 years later - we were otw home from some game and were like let’s go to that awesome pizza place again. Didn’t even realize there were more than one. Anyway second trip back we were like wow this isn’t the best pizza ever.
Anyway that would piss me off. Id call their corporate office n be like yo make these good in my area my fuckin kid deserves this. Maybe not in those exact words, but with that exact attitude.

My grandma (my dad's mom) passed away on Friday. While my dad and mom traveled to be with the family, their car had a part stolen at the long term parking of the airport and someone(s) tried to breakdown the door of their house.
