Nope, Trump had nothing to do with this.Too much spending >Inflation > this administration refusal to address inflation > sharp rate hikes and this bank’s incompetence.

Signature failure was its incompetence and crypto leverage…different than SVB but interest rate induced.

Other regional banks stock down due to panicking, deposit transfer and maybe some exposure to SVB.

If this was regulatory induced, other peers would be in the same positions as SVB, but they are not. You can’t say Trump regulations only affected SVB…come on

It's legal to buy as many donuts as you want. If you choose to eat them until you die, the fact you can buy donuts did not cause you to eat donuts until you die. You chose to eat them.

Just because something isn't illegal doesn't mean that you can do whatever you want with no repercussions then pass the blame.

So sure, deregulation might have made this (more) possible, but it's nowhere close to the chief cause.

Don't even really think this should be a left/right issue. But should definitely be a case study on how many factors such as regulations (or lack thereof), inflation, interest rates, investment decisions, investment portfolios, overall business bank decisions, etc., can have such an impact on banks that it can lead to them being shut down.

Yesterdays incident of the Russians knocking the US Predator out of the skies being a prime example. The justifications of the Russian actions ranged from the Predator had no business in the Black Sea to the Russians should have out right shot it down as it was spying on them. Last month it was Marjorie Taylor Green espousing the destruction of the US and now it is support of adversaries downing US aircraft. What happened to these people (They have essentially adopted the attitude about the US of Jane Fonda 50 years ago and Code Pink 15 years ago)?
