Yes he did look bad. He had several inaccurate throws to open receivers. And he fumbled without getting hit.
Beck didn't have a chance to practice with 1st group as much Rexy did. Beck made all good reads but made bad throws, which can be fixed with practice.

Or maybe there's a third perspective which you are forgetting...
You can't get it all in one year. This years draft was the best draft this team has had in a long, long, long time.

We went primarily defense this year. We'll go primarily offense next year. The point is keep improving and I think we did that this year. Will we be good enough to make the playoffs, that remains to be seen. But this team is better - the Defense is MUCH better.
I completely agree with your assessment...but I still think this is a 7-9 team with the current "talent" that some believe is some sort of playoff team or a division winner. I don't mean to be a downer...because this "team" is FAR superior to last years in many categories, Oline, Dline, LB, Free safety, Special Teams, WR, RB....which is basically every position except one...the QB.
And as the QB goes, the team goes...the Skins have not had a strong QB since Rypien, and a young Trent Green who never really started for us. Our teams need dominating defenses because we cant seem to secure a talented QB...well at least they "tried" wth McNabb...but the cupboard is still bare and we will hover around average until we secure someone with SERIOUS non Becklike Upside. Just don't get all your hopes dashed again this year, YES we are rebuilding and have been for the last 2 years...we rebuild the first 2 years EVERY TIME we change coaches.

I love the Skins, they are tougher, and younger and better, but that will likely not translate to bonus games because we are SOOOO Good for another year or two. Just enjoy the wins when they come....at least well get one every other week rather than once a month...and that is a very good thing!

Was comical to say the least. Unfortunately this is what we got, with Grossman playing like ass.

Ok, fine. Certainly Beck was rusty.

But the comment was made that Beck didn't look bad and that was untrue.

Yea perhaps. At least he played better than Rexy.

You need to slow your role. Beck didn't look too great. Had some good throws and some really bad ones. The fumble was ridiculous and has nothing to do with a lack of reps. He hit the ball with his non-throwing hand while attempting a throw. Comical.

All that being said, he is our best option if Grossman continues to turn the ball over.

Let's try and use better choice of words next time. We all are upset with the game but there's no need to go after each other.

sure he looked rusty and im sure there were some nerves...BUT he was much better than Rex.

1) Love the way Becks stands tall in the pocket goes through his reads

2) OMG Beck ran for a first down...havent seen that all season from a POS named Rex. Plus the QB draw for the TD, sorry Rex cant make that play.

3) Effing Gaffney dropped a TD pass from Beck. Not to be outdone, Stallworthless dropped a effing bomb that would put us in or close to the redzone.

4) Beck moved the ball under pressure much better than Rex

Beck did miss on some throws that shoulda been complete, but damn Beck played much better than Rex. Dude its not effing close

The third perspective is that neither Grossman nor Beck are really very good. But thanks for calling me an idiot again.

You sure do get that a lot. For a smart guy, you do seem to get accused of being stupid often.

You are right about the bolded part. In mobility Beck has Wrecks beat hands down.

It happens to all thinkers who are ahead of their times. :)

But, yeah, I didn't say a word about the greatness of Grossman or McNabb but people were quick to put those words in my mouth.

U mean roll??? Anyway, if you think Rex should still be the starting QB after the last three games then i have to question your Football IQ. He is obviously not comfortable in this offense and his immobility is a complete hindrance to the offense. Beck at times was inaccurate but he did score the only TD today and he was able to move the ball.
