When my Fathers Dad died a long long time ago (1980) we were pulling up to the funeral service and my mom shut the car door on my pinky finger. Still hurts to even type that. Still have a scar. Not the same because it wasn’t like my mom did it on purpose like the bitch asses that fucked with ur mom and dads stuff - but the timing of it was pretty awful.

Ive noticed this more.

Morning commute, I take route 29 which is 3 lanes each way. Speed limit is 45 range. Left lane is going 55 or so. Right lane is going 55 or so. Middle lane is going slower than rest of the lanes. Cars in middle lane are trying to change lanes, creating issues.

get up the cause of the middle lane being slower .. theres a guy in his Tesla both hands off wheel on his phone, seat leaning back trying to look as smug cool as possible.

He was technically going the speed limit,technically doing nothing wrong but if he was driving and not on some auto pilot he would be going at the speed and flow of traffic. There wouldnt be this slower moving obstacle in the middle lanes creating headaches for everyone else around him.

The future of driving may be that you cant go over the speed limit. On a 3 lane road, all 3 lanes will have vehicles on auto pilot going exactly the speed limit just creating a wall you cant go around.

Its 8:45 am and people are trying to get to work.

my county did a silly thing, where if your car gets better than average mileage per gallon (>23mpg), you get to pay a differential due to the gas tax you're not paying (based on the average amount of gas an average person would have bought for the year).

If you have a fully electric vehicle, that's like $300 a year you get to pay IN GAS TAXES.

When you pay it…I think they include the re-register of the plates which is like another twenty something tax. They send you the year sticker for the plates.

Let’s all agree these personal property taxes are out of control…having to dish out 850 for an seven year old vehicle? Fucking ridiculous

They split mine first portion due in June and then the second portion due in December…which around the the holidays, getting a four hundred dollar bill is bad timing.

well inflation can be driven by the gap between government spending and government income, so the idea is logically sound. No one likes more taxes and no likes less services though (well, no one can agree that they're the ones that should eat the budget cut).
