The hate is interconnected is what he said and he isn’t wrong. When a bunch of white people protest against gay rights and want to ignore racist roots in history curriculum- yes that is nazi like in idealism. Nobody said they want to burn them all. Though a large handful wouldn’t probably mind.
Btw where were you when the magatards were comparing wearing masks to the holocaust? Funny how you get offended now when we are talking about good ole boys and their wives who are upset about the scary trans people. You still trying to compare Antifa to the white nationalist groups like the proud boys, etc etc. comical. You ever ask yourself what each side is fighting for? One is fighting for change the other for the status quo. Just stop man. There are idiots everywhere and actions from both sides that cross the line but just ask yourself what both sides are fighting for overall.
Punch: if you are concerned about your children and voice your opinion at a school board meeting, yes, ackshully you are like the nazi. Also Punch: if political violence is in the name of far left ideals, it’s perfectly fine. And folks keep asking me, why did you leave the Democratic Party? |

Pretty sure you are putting words in my mouth and that you didn’t actually read what i said. If your opinions are keep my schools white Christian straight kids yeah like a nazi. Not because white or straight or Christian is nazi but because they believe they are the chosen ones and others are heathens. Didn’t I specifically say that the right and the left by committing any act over the line is wrong? I was pointing out the fact that you, Chico, will go radio silent about hundreds of white nationalist race crimes and than have an uproar when it is something from the other side - BUT - u ignored the question. Ask yourself where the anger stems from on both sides. I did not condone the violence. I simply asked you to dig deeper and ask yourself what is causing it. One side wants change and one side wants the status quo. And i know why u left the Democratic party. You yourself said your father pounded the Republican ideals into your head, Or something like that. This isn’t really democratic or republican anyway imo. This is about the new third party of white Christian nationalists or Trumpers or whatever you want to call it. I wont say nazi cus that is a trigger word and although their ideology is the same they haven’t started rounding up the gays, trans, or muslims in trains yet. Though like i said many would probably like to. Oh and you spelled actually wrong, but i like ackshully better and unlike the hard right im not afraid of change because I understand it is necessary. I like ackshully and the new Howell avatar! I went burgundy so we remain on different sides. |

Absolutely fascinating:
https://twitter.com/mtaibbi/status/1636729166631432195 The Great Covid-19 Lie Machine Stanford, the Virality Project, and the Censorship of “True Stories” This story is important for two reasons. One, as Orwellian proof-of-concept, the Virality Project was a smash success. Government, academia, and an oligopoly of would-be corporate competitors organized quickly behind a secret, unified effort to control political messaging. Two, it accelerated the evolution of digital censorship, moving it from judging truth/untruth to a new, scarier model, openly focused on political narrative at the expense of fact. https://reason.com/2023/03/17/researchers-pressured-twitter-to-treat-covid-19-facts-as-misinformation/ Researchers Pressured Twitter To Treat COVID-19 Facts as 'Misinformation' The latest Twitter Files shows a partnership between Stanford University researchers and government-funded organizations encouraged social media companies to police true information. Here definite proof in emails of government and corporations setting up an infrastructure for Covid and future uses to suppress speech and even facts/true stories they didn’t like. Corporate/government working together to suppress individual freedom= that’s actual fascism folks. You are familiar with the word used 99% of the time incorrect, but here it fits the definition. |

He’s well regarded. You should read his substack as he takes the research and is asking why. Goldberg from the times has written about it and came out with tech and social media, Matt Yglesias wrote about it with the research and said didn’t excuse it. Haidt has written about this long before this study, parenting and higher education is problematic. Why the 2011-2012 upward spike for every category after straight lines for 10 years?…why are 56% lib women claiming a mental illness? Why are kids suffering from in a mental health crisis across the country? One thing with Liberals that Haidt has pointed out is what he calls “Catastrophizing” of their issues. Example: the world is going to end in 9 years due climate change, not recognizing transgender people will lead too genocide, calling the police on people of color will likely lead to their death, Covid will never end and will eventually kill everyone, etc. His point is, if keep saying this hyperbolic statements (which most adults understand is political) in front of kids over and over, they will believe it. So what do you think will happen? He’s also mentioned there is a problem within rich, white progressive kids…which upper middle class to wealthy coastal elites have become that base….they have the inconvenient identity where they need to adapt a “social signal” to identify with a marginalized group, people who have mental illness. Over prescribed, over diagnosed ailments. |

I think he is right on a lot of levels but we need to not discredit transgenderism. Parrot fish live in harems with one male and up to 14 females. If the male dies the alpha female turns in to the male, the lack of testosterone in the water elicits this change. Groupers shift sex based on age. Northern Cardinals, whiptail lizards. There are plenty of examples of transgenderism in vertebrates. Those genes are in us from an evolutionary standpoint even if they are dormant. There is not enough research applied to humans but my thoughts are that the hermaphroditism we see in wild species caused by endocrine disruptors from our medicines and plastics in the water way can easily translate to humans as well. It makes sense to me the rise of smaller sperm counts and testicles in human males since the 70s is tied to the rise of single use plastics. |

I normally try to stay away from the transgenderism discussions as it's no where near the top of the list of what I find important when discussing politics. I am of the belief that there are only men and women. Typically this thought gets assigned as a Christian/conservative thought (and often in a negative light). Just found this article interesting because obviously Dawkins is neither of those things. People can share this thought across the spectrum, but people in some groups just might be hesitant to state that opinion out loud as much. And, our balls are smaller? WTF? Didn't know that stat. The bold part will be my final take on the issue for today. Happy hump day everyone. |

https://news.yahoo.com/signatures-hundreds-dead-people-were-013939678.html More than 300 signatures in a petition to recall Los Angeles County Dist. Atty. George Gascón last year belonged to dead people, according to the county's Registrar-Recorder/County Clerk's office. According to the Registrar-Recorder/County Clerk's office, a review of the petition found 367 signatures of people who had died before the recall effort was launched. The findings were similar to a review of another petition, statewide Initiative 1935, in which county officials found 344 signatures of dead petitioners. The initiative was meant to limit local and state government from expanding, enacting or modifying taxes and fees. The changes put Gascón not just at odds with many of his own prosecutors and local law enforcement officials, but made him a target of Republican and conservative figures on the national stage who suggested that progressive, or derisively dubbed "woke," prosecutors were to blame for increases in crime. |

https://jonathanhaidt.substack.com/p/mental-health-liberal-girls
Probably because trumptards revel in the hate and chaos. Anyway what is the point of this? What 18 year old kid even knows anything about politics? Weren’t you a democrat at age 18? Maybe the hard right hides their childrens mental illness the same way they would if they were gay? It is a sign of weakness to them, unlike the decent parent that would seek help if their child were suffering with depression. There are so many things wrong with this study and the fact that you would post it as if being a liberal leads to mental illness. Jesus are these the things you latch onto in order to make yourself comfortable in your own head? |

This story makes me fucking sick:
Marine veteran who survived three tours in Iraq, Afghanistan killed driving an Uber in California https://www.foxnews.com/us/marine-vet-survived-3-tours-iraq-killed-driving-uber The story in of itself is not political, but my thoughts about it likely are. We need more prisons, not less. Probably won't get a lot of agreement with democrats here. On the other front, I'm usually pro privatization, but I don't think it's a good thing for prisons. I don't want people to profit off of keeping people in jail who don't need to be there. Greed is a human condition and fucking with people's time on Earth is too risky to allow non-violent offenders to be there 1-day longer than absolutely warranted. But I'm in total support of using tax money to keep evil, violent, fucking scumbags in prison for absolutely no less than what is 100% warranted. For people like whoever did this, they belong in prison until they die. |
