Re: The Gameday Thread: Philly at Washington
It was a joke. I was mocking the people from two weeks ago who mocked me for suggesting that John Beck would be worth giving a look at QB. I was purposely making a "how to lie with statistics" argument/joke.
And to further add I said Beck is 0-1 as a QB this year which in joking form I meant more specifically that we are 0-1 in games where Beck has played. Which again is a "how to lie/win with statistics" joke.
You can't lie with statistics. 80% of studies have shown that only 55.6% of people can misrepresent statistics 19.6% of the time when the wind blows from the north at 13 mph on a full moon. So there. |

Moron, it specifically states it's a SE wind during a crescent moon. |
Re: The Gameday Thread: Philly at Washington
Anyway, Hightower is better than Torain.

I'm still a member of the Royster clan. We still have slots available in case anyone is interested. |

They can't even understand what a regression analysis is, much less t distributions, variance, and expected value. |

Not having TH hurt us, but no carries didn't help ATV

I agree. Torain ran through holes that were huge against the Rams that either of the other two Backs would of done the same. Hightower healthy is better then Torain. |
U mean roll??? Anyway, if you think Rex should still be the starting QB after the last three games then i have to question your Football IQ. He is obviously not comfortable in this offense and his immobility is a complete hindrance to the offense. Beck at times was inaccurate but he did score the only TD today and he was able to move the ball.
No I meant role, as in your role at The Warpath. Noob poster. Respect your forum elders. I never said Rex should still be the starting QB. I am saying Beck isn't that great of an alternative. You wanna get punched in the face or kicked in the nuts? Neither is great, just like our QBs... |
The receiver play was terrible with Grossman and it was terrible with Beck. The only difference with Beck is that Terrence Austin got a shot and made a play.
Gaffney and Moss are inconsistent. But Stallworth is just bad.
Fo realz! We're going to blame the receivers when they drop TD passes from Beck, but not when they drop them, or bounce them off their chest for INTs, from Rex? Oh well, I just want whoever is behind center to play well. |
Re: The Gameday Thread: Philly at Washington
Yeah but rex has always been bad so it's time for beck to take this team over

True but that can be said about any fan. |

Except for me. Knowing such things is needed for an econ major like myself(and I'm now associated with every other economics dude out their, including Ryan Fitzpatrick and Bill Belichick).:laughing- |
Re: The Gameday Thread: Philly at Washington
I'm guessing a fair amount of football fans have taken a statistics course in college.

Mark Twain once said: "There are three kinds of lies....Lies, damned lies and statistics"
