Key point in that article, Bryce Young was the consensus no 1 last year. Stroud outplayed him

This happens ALL the time.

Nothing is a sure thing…nothing and def not Caleb Williams who has red flags flying off him.

We know this from recent experience, Chase Young.

Drake, Daniels, shit JJ McCarthy ( who I think is underrated in this process)…or Penix Jr. any one of these guys could be the top QB in the class.

Not sure I trust his analysis that much when he says "...the better arm talent". This is simply not true. Williams has a rocket launcher.

Re: 2024 Early Bird Draft Thread

Arm Strength goes to Maye over Williams and Daniels but both of the other guys are deadly throwing off platform.

Maye is accurate on the run and on boots.

Tbh I’m fine with any of those 3

Still prefer J.D. His running ability and downfield ball placement are real nice.

If JD runs the ball he will get JFK’ed because he takes too many hits

I'd take either but I agree with Chico, JD will get killed in the NFL if he doesn't get down with his small frame

There are alot of running quarterbacks his size that have had plenty of success running. The bottom line is any quarterback can get killed taking off especially if they slide like RG-3.

Anthony Richardson….”he’s just as explosive as Lamar Jackson” was the common thing said.

Concussion week two running the football

Shoulder injury running the football like four weeks later.

Didn’t make it a half season. JD takes more shots in a smaller frame.

In the big boy league, you need to be a passing QB first to be successful.

There is only one Lamar Jax, and he an overrated passer and can’t win in the playoffs. What happened this year in the playoffs again to Lamar? The same ole defense, make him beat you from the pocket and he will lose the game.

Yeah, I don't want a running QB. I don't want to hold my breath every time our QB runs.

Daniels uses his legs to set up the pass. Extremely accurate throwing on the run. Would not call him run first. He keeps plays alive and avoids getting crushed in the pocket like say Wentz or Howell for that matter. We improve the blocking in front of him and we don’t have EB throwing 60 times a game. He is a pass first quarterback but he has wheels to keep the play alive. This isn’t RG-3 running the 50 yard dash with his head down and no field vision. Not even close.

A-Rich does not have the accuracy that JD has nor the footwork. He is like an unpolished JD.

cant wait to see what we do in FA and how it will impact the draft. I would only draft Maye, for many reasons already mentioned about the other 2. Thats IF i was forced to draft a QB at #2. Otherwise im taking ALT and rolling with Howell.

Yes i know, unpopular opinion of the year running consistent haha

Josh Allen is another that takes a shit ton of hits. Bills fans say the same thing... Its only a matter of time before something happens.

Also Lamar had very average Passing stats this yr again... He's a great athlete not a great QB

Punch, I agree with everything you posted about JD above and I'd like to build off of your foundation a bit. Of all the things I like about Jaylen Daniels the things I like the most about him are his ability to learn quickly and to integrate the lessons he has learned into his game as well as the dedication and hard work he put in to improve so much in such a short period of time that he won the Heisman Trophy in his senior year. I think he has just scratched the surface of who he can become as a pro QB. In short, I think he has tremendous upside.

I'm looking forward to the Combine which has served as a watershed for my opinions on quarterback prospects.
