Re: New Poster Making People Mad
The fact that we are quoting specific plays (one from this year, and two from last year, week 2) speaks volumes as to brunell's quality. Simply put, with brunell, we aren't going to win a championship...the only times he does well are when the recievers make something out of nothing...on small dink and dunk passes (which are fine...but should not be the ENTIRE OFFENSE). we will not beat many teams that rightfully play brunell for what he is, a washed up hack. sad but true. bring on cambell.

I DON'T agree. When we DO win a championship I'll talk more about this.... |
Re: New Poster Making People Mad
do you honestly believe we can win a championship? our D has not shown an ability to stop anyone (cornerstone of Championships)...and our O is erratic at best, and inept the rest of the time.
How do you see us even making the playoffs...0-2 in NFC east, 0-3 in NFC...i remind you that we made them last year on the back of a stellar end of year run, and an absurd NFC conference record... time to switch teas, my friend. |

I Have Faith. Go Skins!

I'm with you hess! Unfortunately, believers are a dying breed here. |

"Believers" and fans are two different things. Believers are the type of people that think everything is fine, and Washington will be 13-3 or 12-4 at the worst at the end of this season. I actually heard that from a few people after the Giants game. I am a die hard FAN of this team, and as much as I want them to win, I can also see their limitations. I commend believers for being able to maintain faith, but it's also a bit far fetched to think this team is performing anywhere close to championship level. |

Or that there are several areas in which we have to improve. But we "believe" it can be done. There are plenty of people who have thrown in the towel. And that's fine, I choose not to be that way. |
Re: New Poster Making People Mad
Actually, I believe it is the "Cardiac Skins"
|
Re: New Poster Making People Mad
I "believe" the Skins' will play this weekend. Beyond that, I make no further predictions. I call this a Martyball Prediction.

If you'll look at my post in another thread, you'll see that "come from behind" is not in Mark Brunell's vocabulary. http://www.thewarpath.net/redskins-locker-room/14857-what-wrong-offense-4.html#post226686 And I will always hold hope that Washington will turn things around, but blind faith is something I haven't had in more than a decade. |
Re: New Poster Making People Mad
.. remind me never to watch a game with you. Negative energy like yours only hurts the team. You must focus and have postive thoughts!! :)

My son's freshman HS team had a big "come from behind" win last thursday against a vaunted rival. With time RAPIDLY running out, the coach called the often used option play which the QB tossed to the wide out who then beat two tackles and took it to the hole (53 yards). During the last few minutes in the stands, 300ish parents generated the noise of 3000. Do they believe this team is championship caliber? Do we think their perfect? Do we think they don't need changes? No, just an average HS team. We are fans and, as such, refuse to give up. Nothing is gained from trying to pick apart all that is good or can be. Something can be gained from continued support, and teams can be inspired or willed to greatness through others. It is the same for my Redskins. Believer? Hardly. Fan? Definately |

Definately
That's getting into a bit of symantics because all believers are inherently fans, but not all fans are believers. And I would imagine that a parent whose kids team pulled off something great like that would go crazy, but I'm also sure most of them don't know enough about the other teams in the league, or the even the inner workings of their kids team to make any kind of educated analysis about it's ability. |

I'm pretty sure my personal "negative energy" has nothing to do with the performance of the Washington Redskins, whatsoever. |
