Re: Give Props to Brunell
he did pretty darn good w/o the teams #1 wr, a pretty non existent running game except for one play, and a mixture of dropped passes and bad calls nullifying completions. He did make a bad decision to try and force it into lloyd which luckily wasn't intercepted and could have run for a first down a couple times if he had his mentality of a few years ago, but he looked damn nice with a couple lasers 15+ yards down the field. I was just excited to see the offense making attempts down the field and look at what it resulted in with a few big catches and almost as many big penalties.
Well said, I saw the same things. |
Re: Give Props to Brunell
considering he had no running game he did well. I voted avg, but if I'd say he did good if I had thought about that simple fact...
Even though we did try to run the ball, its not like they really had to worry too much about us blowing them up on the ground, so they were preparing to see passes and they got them and we executed a few times... for that he gets props this week. no question, but he's not above criticism by any means... |

I'm not content with a back-up grade QB starting for the team I love.
Well smarten' up. This was a hard fought win and they needed it. If you are looking for style points, you are a "fan" of the wrong team. HAIL TO THE REDSKINS! |

HAIL TO THE REDSKINS!
I agree. Nobody should have to apologize for their play after that huge win. They won because of a great overall team effort. That's what we should be talking about... not the play of one guy for the millionth time. |

M. Brunell 14 23 192 60.9 8.3 1 9 1 0 He's a FA or a bench sitter in Fantasy! I say he's horrible, at best he is below average! Jason Campbell may not be all that, but he's got a better arm than MB, for sure! I pulled for Sonny in the Sonny/Billy debate. Gus in the Heath/Gus debate. So, don't go by my choices if you think different. |

If this was some attempt to make a coherent point, you failed miserably. I am not a Brunell lover on any level and you can see that in my previous points. He was incredible today, if you don't belive me look at the body language on every play in the second half. He was as good as any QB in the league today. |

Re: Give Props to Brunell
I voted average.
He made some good throws and they won. His weaknesses were still glaringly on display though, can't handle any pressure (team consultant Ray Brown admitted this in a post-game interview), won't look at the # 2 receiver (Randle EL today), and underthrows the deep route badly. We did not win this game because of Mark Brunell. |

Because you're really doing that, right? Please. You ragged him for going into the fetal position on that sack today. Funny, because I saw Peyton Manning take a sack in the same exact way tonight. Clear head and honest critique? I really hope you're joking. |

I don't think anyone is trying to say that. I think we're spending way too much damn time talking about one guy. It's a shame because I thought it was a great team effort. Offense, defense and special teams all did their part today. That's how you win games in this league, not because of one guy. |

How many times in row did we lose to them in November? You know what, I don't care. This win was so satisfying on so many levels. Anyone who isn't in la la land right now is really missing out. THANK YOU LORD! DELIVER US LORD! HAIL TO THE REDSKINS! HAIL TO THE REDSKINS! HAIL TO THE REDSKINS! |

By no means did I mean to indicate that he played like a Pro Bowler. But, I think he played very well. |
