Just like I said on another board: Just because OJ killed his wife and her friend (Yeah yeah, he did it) doesn't mean he was any less great of a football player.

Just because Michael may or may not have touched some kids, doesn't mean he wasn't a kick ass entertainer.

The dude's dead. He's paid the ultimate price (Karma?) for his alleged wrongdoings.

People should respect MJ as a musician. As a person... Well that's always up for debate.

I respect his talent but there are a few things I cannot forgive and that harming children and murder.

you would think that as a parent no amount of money could be paid that would keep you quiet if your child was molested. the kids certainly arent to blame but their parents sure are.

Off The Wall was a really great album. Probably the best record made in that era. Right up there with Pet Sounds, Revolver, Nevermind, etc. Having said that, Michael was also an homosexual pedophile. He was also apparently deeply addicted to the poppy opiates. Given these facts, living to the age of 50 is a minor miracle.

I agree that his painkiller addiction was a horrid thing, but apparently he was otherwise in very good health, to the surprise of doctors.

There's a story circulating today that the kid admitted he lied (but the validity is not confirmed, so not worth posting). I've also heard claims from pretty legit sources that the identification of Jackson's body parts was information that was fed to the kid by other adults who-and I don't know why they had those details-were promised a cut of the millions the father was determined to get out of Jackson. But again, I get why that may not hold much water, if any, to those who really believe he molested children.

I think he was a) without question, a mega-talented performer; the single biggest star of my lifetime to date, and b) so completely out of touch with reality from the start that I can't even grasp it. I think, in many way, he's at fault. If you read some of the biographies on him, you'll find that some of the crazy tabloid rumors about him were started by Jackson himself to keep the publicity going. And it's like if you're gonna get upset when the media says shit about you, don't help them out as well. And, I think, he did things that any normal person would know just isn't appropriate, not illegal but inappropriate.

But, then, a lot also comes down to how do you define molestation. Some would argue that showering the child with gifts and then telling him he could stay the night plays on the child's emotions and ultimately is a form of molestation. Honestly, I can see that point and I won't argue it.

As for his sexuality, yeah he probably was at least bi, and probably more gay than straight. So what? That that should have led to an earlier death for him is a pretty ridiculous thing to say.
