Just some quick perspective:

"Stats of the Week No. 7: Seven of Jason Campbell's last 532 passes have been intercepted. Nine of Jake Delhomme's last 51 passes have been intercepted."

And which team made the play-offs last year?
^^I think we would have gotten crushed much worse if Chase had been under center yesterday.

And...dude, I've seen your other posts and I must ask: is someone paying you for every exclamation point that you use? :)
Thanks !!!!!!!!! Chase would have done worse ? How do you know? Last time Campbell got hurt Skins went to playoffs under Collins. Anything better than Campbell!:food-smil

I suppose that I am speculating that Chase would have done much worse than JC because he has less experience than Campbell and Jacksonville's defense made Chase look utterly clueless.

Let's overlook the fact that Chase is no longer on the team and thus is irrelevant: what makes you think that Chase would do better than Campbell?

Positives, HMMMMM.

Well my wings turned out great, beer was ice cold, and my annoying neighbor who seems to show up just about the time the wings are done stayed away. God he drives me crazy as he wants to steal some of my wings and strike up a conversation while I'm trying to watch the game.

Haynesworth doesn't appear to be a bust. And contrary to what some others have said - I think the offensive line is playing very well.

I get more phone calls around gametime than the rest of the day combined. I'm going to start cutting my phone off.

That's what I do. Sorry, during the game I am not available.

Ditto, unless someone wants to give me money. That never happens.

Lost in all the shuffle was this:

The Giants DID take away Moss, and the passing offense didn't suffer. Not one bit. We were actually better off NOT going to Moss.

When was the last time we could say that?

Re: Positives of this Game

Here's another positive:

Guess which two teams had the most similar ranking in the Football Outsiders Power Rankings?

14 NYG 4.7%
15 WAS 4.3%

Obviously, the middle of the pack rankings have no meaning whatsoever in the grand scheme of things, it's Week 1, but isn't it nice to know that in at least one respect, we played the Giants to a virtual draw?

When I cut mine back on Monday morning, I had 6 new text messages from 2 different sh*t talking giants fans. I obviously need new friends.

It did seem to me that McIntosh made some nice disruptive plays Sunday. That's a positive...

Maybe that we see that we still have a ways to go and we don't take teams like the Rams for granted? Maybe we'll be focused and motivated enough to put the kind of ass whipping on a team we've all been waiting for.

Re: Positives of this Game

I think it's a huge positive that after the game in one of Zorn's many interviews he flat out stated that the secondary was playing too far off the line of scrimmage.

That really needed to be addressed. Even though the entire fanbase already knows it Blache might actually have to tone down the "If you want an eight yard completion at any point in the game we are happy to oblige defensive backfield philosophy."

Next up I hope we will address the Blache "Don't you dare try and throw any seventy yard passes against us because Laron Landry is fifty yards off the line of scrimmage philosophy."
