Re: Willie Parker a Skin
I think Thomas did admirably. Definitly better then ARE. Moss we know can do the job and has done it well. I thought Hall has done it before just not with the Skins. Buchanen has good hands and is fast so obviously he will need to be tried out. Then there is Alridge. If he can keep from fumbling he would be a good pick for he job.
Now that we have a full stable of RB's I just don't see the need to go out this year and pick up a RB, WR, or CB in this yrs draft. Especially when he have drastic need of a more accurate QB. You guys talk of picking up a 2nd round QB, hell we can't get our late 1st round QB to become a franchise QB. We have Grossman who was a late 1st round QB. Some have mentioned picking up a mid round QB after picking up 2 OL. We have a mid round QB in Colt. We don't need one of those either. I'll even do you one better... we have an UFA in Bartel. The only thing we don't have is a top 5 drafted QB. I think I'd rather take a stab at that now. Especially since none of the others are franchise QB's. After QB we can pick up OL in round 2. Maybe we get to trade back then if someone see's something they like? If not OL. Jarmin is our 3rd pick. Pick a 3/4 LB in the 4th round. OL in the 5th. FS in the 7th.
What round was Brady picked in, Carr was picked were again & Russell it's not were u pick them it's how you evaluate them. |
I think Cerrato's strategy was also overpay a couple of big name free agents then find a bunch of guys to fill your roster with minimum contracts due to cap constraints.
Yeah, Cerrato would have got either LJ or Fast Willie for there combined current contract. I love the move. I orginally wanted Fast Willie over LJ. Now I am thrilled we have both. |
yeah.. I reminded Matty to update the tracker for Medlock a couple of times but no such luck so far haha
ahh yes Ryan
He was a pre-free agency pickup that's why I didn't include him |

Hey we can dream! |
Re: Willie Parker a Skin
Soley from the tb positon it does, but factor in Rock's special teams play & it makes a big difference on the roster. Who of these guys can play spec. teams? will DT play less on spec. teams if he's starting wr? Then is Marko going to play more teams?
Somewhere there's got to be some special teams players between these 2 positions. We'll see if any rooks or journeyman make it. I'd prefer to see a rookie rb (undrafted fa would be best case) that plays teams make the roster at #3 & WP gets cut. Will make for some interesting decisions come cutting time.
Buchanon can return so we're not limited to keeping that #3 RB spot for teams. |

Please they've been in the League one year & Sanchez has a great OL please you know this he has a great OL. It's how you evaluate your QB if you have a good coach you can get a good maybe even great QB in the later rounds that basically goes for any position i just beleive OL is a bigger need. |

I'd be happy to just stop seeing "loose" being used for "lose". ;) |
Re: Willie Parker a Skin
I could too and you can imagine how much he would like playing 4 games against dallas or philly. I would rather us trade for marshall if we didnt have to give up too much. Either the 37th pick if we cant get gaither for it or something like cooley and rodgers for him.
cooley and rogers for marshall ? are you crazy ? |

At least he suggested a trade that would be likely be accepted. My personal favorites are something to the effect of "uh Andre Carte and a 5th round pick for Marshall and a first." |
Re: Willie Parker a Skin
The W. Parker pick-up is nice, but what O-line is going to run block for our so called three headed monster? And what O-line is going to pass block for our "Simple" Jason? Ours?!? Surely you jest.

Throw in Rey Maualuga and you've got a deal! I know Denver doesn't have him but they could make a trade with the Bengals for him and give him to us. We could throw in Westbrook if we had to so he could take Champ Baileys place when he retires. That's GOLD baby! |

true. i'm just tired of the skins getting reemed all the time with trades. imo, cooley and rogers for marshall would be us giving up way too much. |
