Favre can't step away after that season he just had which was arguably one of the best he has ever had. Don't worry, he'll go shopping this week, realize a G5 is north of $60 million and come back for more money

In terms of winning the Super Bowl, He never should have stuck it to the Cowboys and triggered the wrath of the football gods. That said, one can never stick to the Cowboys too many times.

So basically he told steve mariucci that he is still not done, but wants to see how is ankle is healing. I guess you cant hate the guy for this story, but why has he not told his coach or the owner of the Vikings he is retiring? Seems as though this is not over quite yet. Stay tuned football fans for weeks of conjucter from all the talking head till he either retires for good or he comes and takes a few more snaps for the Vikes.

Guy is definiely going through a midlife crisis. Just retire for good this time and maybe he won't end up a cripple like some of those old school linemen from the 60s-70s. He gets sacked and hit on that ankle and pop, there goes his ankle for good.

Hell yes. 6 first round picks in 3 years would be great for us, more than any impact D.Mac might have. We could trade those for a younger better quarterback, or draft the next franchise quarterback, and have room left over to make other moves. I'd look at it from a franchise building perspective.

Intersting question, NYC... I don't know, yes.

If we look at the NFL as a business and in particular the way players refer to the business side of things, you would have to do this. 3 first round picks for the 2nd and 3rd you gave up is a few hundred percent return on your investment with a bright future ahead of you with many different decisions and trades to make or just 6 quality football players to build an entire team around.

This would never happen btw so it is a crazy question to even try to answer!

Why go through the drama of retiring then unretire again? This is getting old. If he needs extra time to heal just keep your mouth shut and go to camp to do film, etc. I used to like the guy, now he is just another media prime dona. Now I hope we meet them in the playoffs just to see Carriker, Orakpo, or AH crush him. Would be nice to see Fletch do it though. A nice hard LB blitz right up the middle, then SMACK!!!!!!
