Re: It's Donovan's F-ing Homecoming Week

I have become a bit more pessimistic every week. My negative attitude says the Skins lose this one, 20-17. They score a late TD to make it closer than it appears. I have a hard time believing the D can stop Vick and Jackson, when Bradford and Clayton gave them so much trouble. Hasslet hasn't shown ability to make in game adjustments. I am hoping I'm wrong tho!
Not surprisingly, Shanahan has said Portis will start on Sunday. Though I do expect Torain to get significant carries.

Doesn't look like Anthony Bryant will play though. Wonder if they'll finally start giving PD more reps in the middle. Or might they re-sign Howard Green?
Didn't Howard Green go to the Jets?

Green was released to clear room for Pryce

Thanks Matty.

That reminds me. Given our struggles on the DL, we didn't sign Pryce because...?

I've been reading a bunch of betting threads regarding this game... Eagles' fans on these boards are really scared about losing this straight up, much less covering the 6. Bettors often watch and play with their heads over their hearts (even though they lose more than they win) and those that are Eagles' fans seem to be staying very far away from this one.

Grow a set Jim Mora. You're a hack of a coach, you did okay in your first season during your stint with Atlanta but you got worse every season you were there and you failed in Seattle. I wish your mike had gotten cut out completely during the 'Skins game because you're a horrible commentator as well. And it gives me an idea of the kind of man you are when you go on radio and say you'd leave your head coaching job for an NFL team during the middle of a playoff run if your alma mater head coaching job opened up.

That crew they had in there for our game against the Rams was nasty all around, when they weren't slobbering all over the Rams they were busy explaining what a redzone was and calling Kedric Golston Lorenzo Alexander.

Long story short the more I hear of Jim Mora in the broadcast booth and the more I see of him running an NFL team the less I think of him.

No disrespect but 20-17 ??? You're dreaming! I would not be surprised to see Eagles 42 Redskins 17. Hope Im wrong. I also believe Vick will shred our D. I bet he get 60+ on the ground easy. The 3-4 will take at least a season to gel. I share your pessimism.

Pryce wanted to play for Ryan. At this point not sure how much he has in the tank anyway. He's a role player at best.

Given the weak pass rush that we get from our DE's, a role player pass rusher seems like just what the doctor ordered.

But I understand why Haslett does not have the drawing power of Rex Ryan. Plus I imagine that Pryce wanted to go to a winner and after the Rams game especially that would be a hard sell.

Re: It's Donovan's F-ing Homecoming Week

Pryce used to play for Ryan there in B-More and said he wanted to play for him again, so I'm not sure any other teams were really on his radar, regardless of how we look.

Pryce may also not want to be with Shanahan anymore.
