Re: NFL Awards Show (RGIII is offensive ROY)
Luck had plenty of "help".
Avery had 60 catches, Hilton had 50 as a rookie, Allen and Fleener combined for 71 catches at the TE spot. In the running game Ballard and Brown combined for over 1200 yards. Luck didn't have to deal with losing his top WR & TE for half the season either.
I'm not a Luck over RG3 guy at all. I'm just saying he's not some scrub. I think he made those guys better as did RG3 with Afl and Paulsen ETC. |
Re: NFL Awards Show (RGIII is offensive ROY)
The whole Luck did not have any help is not true at all. Wayne with 100 plus catches, playing the best year of his career, TY Hilton almost had a thousand yards, Avery had 60 catches, the tight ends were both a lot better than Logan Paulsen.
Plus if you have more interceptions than the number of games you played obviously you needed help to win the game. |
Re: NFL Awards Show (RGIII is offensive ROY)

Re: NFL Awards Show (RGIII is offensive ROY)
anyone have video of his acceptance speech?
|
Re: NFL Awards Show (RGIII is offensive ROY)
The speech wasnt his finest media work. Probably still a little looped up on pain management stuff. Someone else mentioned it. Believe it or not he looked a little nervous.

Re: NFL Awards Show (RGIII is offensive ROY)
I just saw the video on redskins.com with him and Larry Michael... Didn't seem nervous really...
|
Re: NFL Awards Show (RGIII is offensive ROY)
I don't have the links of the RGIII acceptance speech, but its on YouTube now. I actually recorded the whole NFL Honors show. It was like an Academy Awards show for the NFL and you can find RGIII speech, but the funniest and best parts of the whole show are Alex Baldwin's 10 min opening and AP accepting the Fantasy palyer of the year award, which seems very tongue in cheek to me.

Re: NFL Awards Show (RGIII is offensive ROY)
Well what I am seeing is that his rehab is already ahead of schedule and he's doing well. Walking without a limp, going up and down stairs, etc is pretty remarkable considering he had his knee reconstructed 3 weeks ago.
