^I don't I trade him for a high 2nd or late 1st and build around RG3, He's not going anywhere guys and he has changed his style to not get injured.

Re: We won!!!!!!!!!! (Redskins vs. Raiders Post Game Thread)
What happens next year when the brace is off, bananas.
2nd year QB, still learning, recovering from a bad injury. He is pretty good when you take that into account. The offensive line doesn't look as good, when he is 10% slower, or whatever he is. The receivers didn't seperate well yesterday as a group. He missed some throws, made some bad throws. He is doing something Kaepernick doesn't, move through his receiver progresson. Years down the road, the injury may end up being a blessing in disguise. What if he had to deal with this 5 years from now. |
The defense is bad, yet it keeps us in games. I dunno. It's like they can't decide if they want to be absolutely deadass horrible or if they want to be inconsistent but lucky.
The debbie downer part of me wants to point out that the defense seems ok when the 1st string players (Bush, Pryor, McFadden) go down, but does anyone else think Pryor or McFadden all game makes that game go much differently. I do think getting Jackson and Jenkins back will make a big difference. I just think the dline's tackling will be improved off the bye. |
Re: We won!!!!!!!!!! (Redskins vs. Raiders Post Game Thread)
Is Griffin reading through his progressions or not? I certainly don't know, and it seems like half the people that might know, say he is, and half say he isn't.

McFadden was breaking off big gainers until he went down with the injury and because Pryor wasn't playing, they didn't have the RO at their disposal. With our tackling issues, they would've ran all over us. |
Re: We won!!!!!!!!!! (Redskins vs. Raiders Post Game Thread)
The one thing I've noticed that is killing the defense, when a everyone is sent to rush the passer, the middle is wide open with no one around to protect a screen pass and big plays occur against the skins
Not buying the talent excuse. Look at what Brady is operating with in NE.
Brady is operating with one of the best pass blocking OLs in the game. The guy isn't touched back there and this allows him to pick teams apart. Our OL isn't even remotely close to theirs. I agree with you about the skills players though. |
Re: We won!!!!!!!!!! (Redskins vs. Raiders Post Game Thread)
So he is going to wear the brace all season or has that been determind.

I think Griffin said during one of his training camp pressers that he would wear the brace all season, but might take it off next year. I wonder if that is not a Dr. Andrews decison, that Griffin just didn't want to put on Dr. Andrews. |
Re: We won!!!!!!!!!! (Redskins vs. Raiders Post Game Thread)
Smart to think longterm with his knee, keep the brace on. If it holds him back, so be it.

Re: We won!!!!!!!!!! (Redskins vs. Raiders Post Game Thread)
The win yesterday wasn't exactly great one, but win is win. For those people who said we don't have lot of talents, I disagree. We have talents, it is simply matter of utilizing them on right plays. Someone said that Helu isn't consistent, it's not fair to call that because Helu played only 3rd down passing siutations, which is rarely, until Morris got hurt and all of sudden, he rushed well. I put all of our offense failures on Mike and Kyle, Kyle has been calling for lot of passing plays. Like the announcers showed on tv yesterday during the game, first three games - we called 28% running plays and 72% passing plays. Granted, it's mostly due to playing catch up games. However in all of beginning of the games, Kyle called for passing plays, which factored in our lack of moving ball. Until yesterday, Kyle finally called for more running plays, which played big role in winning the game. I only hope Kyle realize that in the bye week and call more running plays for rest of the season. We have Morris and Helu, along with Griffin - use all of them on pistol formations often and then we will have plenty opportunities to score points.
I'm still concerned about our defense, they played somewhat better yesterday. Tackling is improved in little ways, regardless it's still an issue. I'm not sure if our defense will improve lot when Jackson and Jenkins return, OLB and DE are not main issues on the defense. All of players need to do their assignments accordingly to improve our defense. So we should not expect for those two players to improve our defense greatly. |

He also has perfect throwing mechanics and has the pocket presence where he slides to create more time to throw. |

With our tackling issues, they would've ran all over us.
Pretty much this. It probably would have been an Eagle's game redux - Although McFadden is no Shady McCoy (who, I contend, is the ONLY reason they beat us - that and our own offensive ineptitude through 2 1/2 quarters), he is a capable and competent runner when uninjured. We may still have won but not so sure. |
Re: We won!!!!!!!!!! (Redskins vs. Raiders Post Game Thread)
Did I hear right that Logan Paulsen might be done for the year? This isn't any sort of insider info here, I thought I heard it mentioned today over the air. Is this true?

Re: We won!!!!!!!!!! (Redskins vs. Raiders Post Game Thread)
If we lose Logan.. That'll be terrible. I honestly think he's our most solid TE on the roster.
I also think Helu Jr. isn't getting enough touches. I know a lot of elements are involved, but he looked quick yesterday and at times look to have great vision. |
