I think he really needed to spend the off season learning and running the offense but instead he had to spend it rehabbing his knee. IMO its impossible to underestimate how much of an impact that had on his season and the team's. While I didnt expect the team to perform this badly I always thought that with RG3 having to spend his offseason rehabbing meant that expectations had to be lowered for this year. I think if RG3 gets out of this season healthy then next year will be a better barometer of whether his rookie season was the norm aor a fluke. |
Re: skins eagles postgame
I can't get riled up about RG3's performance in the Shanahan's offense at this point because it just isn't relevant to his future. There's a little bit of cause for concern at this point, but not matter how many stinkers he puts up from now until the end of the year, it won't matter in a year.

That means the first 15 plays are scripted by Kyle. We start slow because the script is predictable and it stinks. |

RG3 and Campbell are not comparable unless you look at one obvious similarity. |

If I was a NIners fan I'd be way more worried about Kapernick's terrible play since he had a full offseason to practice than I am about RG3 as a Skins fan. If RG3 was a in his 5th year then I wouldnt put as much importance on the offseason but this is only his 2nd year and he didnt have an offseason to practice. That makes a big difference. |

I would like to think that what you predict comes to pass; that, after this season, RGIII will no longer be condemned to taking too many hits on designed QB running plays in this offense. If I were Dan Snyder, I would be very troubled about the immediate future of my Franchise QB in this offense. The way RGIII is being used in the running game is irresponsible, IMO. I believe that RGIII may be running more on the pro level than he did in college. That is Ngata good idea. Actually, it is a recipe for disaster. Did my eyes deceive me, or did the Shanny's actually run a 1950's style Oklahoma Triple Option play with RGIII?! Sometimes I'd swear they are trying to get him reinjured with the stupid crap they ask him to do. Frankly, I'd welcome a little meddling by Dan Snyder in this case, if just to tell Shanny to cut out the designed running plays by RGIII. It's time for DS to step in and protect his most valuable player asset from the Shanahans who I think are myopically and callously shortening RGIII"s career. Also, isn't it about time for RGIII to receive the benefits of having a top-notch QB coach? |

Kapernick vs RG3 "THE BATTLE OF THE SOPHORME SHLUMPS" Whose gonna be more pathetic? |

Whose gonna be me pathetic?
I wonder...the Niners had won five in a row before losing to a good Carolina team and then going into the Superdome and nearly beating Brees and co. In the last two weeks the Redskins have lost to a 1-7 Minnesota team missing eight starters and then got blown out (don't kid yourselves that was a blowout, no matter how many points they scored in garbage time when it didn't matter) by a Philadelphia team that had lost ten straight at home. SF by two touchdowns over the Redskins at least. This team is so awful right now and the locker room is finally breaking down, at least publicly. |

Re: skins eagles postgame
Yes, receiver Josh Morgan is clearly frustrated and told reporters that he was told he couldn’t talk after the game, then later telling The Washington Post, “Coach said I can’t talk. Coach said I can’t play football and I can’t talk.” Don’t know if that’s really true or not; Shanahan had already spoken by the time Morgan said this and could not be reached later. Morgan was inactive. He’s been frustrated for a couple weeks, but Morgan hasn’t been productive. He was given numerous chances to produce in various roles and did not do so. The Redskins paid him $6 million this season. We’ll call this Exhibit A as to why free agency is not a slam dunk answer and why the salary cap mess can’t be blamed for all that ails Washington.

I can see maybe the first 1-5 plays based on game film and prep to start a game, but when the team starts nearly every single game since Kyle arrived as a couple of plays then 3 and out punt, than he ought to stop scripting. Whatever his prep work or film study is- its predictable as all hell. How many QB's made the final 53 this year? Lol oh yeah, this regime needs to be taken around back and 'Mystic Rivered' for what they done |

DAMN
Josh failed us. He was put in position to make plays even when e was demoted. The doghouse of shanahan is quite a bitter place to be. What is the redskins tally of Shanny doghousing per year or total? 2013- Fred, Josh, Rambo???? 2012- 2011- 2010-Fat Al, $6 million wasted on Josh's bum ass. He was supposed to break loose this season after his offseason surgeries. Someone better will be found for '14 |
