I mean, does he really have a reason to trust Hopkins with a 53 yard FG? If he misses, you give them the ball on the 43. I wasn't a big fan of the call though. If he doesn't trust Hopkins they should have tried to pin them back with a punt. Hindsight is easy though. If they convert, we're all applauding his aggressiveness.

McLaurin def had some bad balls. He is as professional as it gets but at the end of the game I think he had had enough.

I know Allen isn't our savior but I'd give him some reps this week.

I saw the same thing.

It's excusable when your qb is getting pressured repeatedly every play - but there were plays yesterday where Heinicke got out of the pocket, bought some time, and then threw a terrible pass. Underthrown or misplaced ball - one of his interceptions the defender was screening him the entire time - it doesn't bode well for his future as a starter.

Just crazy to me where I strongly believe both the dline and Oline where dominant and we lose and lose bad

Honestly it's tough, but I think the Heinicke experiment should be over. There's probably a reason why he was the backup on an XFL team last year. I think I would rather see Kyle Allen in there if he is healthy. He may not have the legs that TH has, but at least he's not going to try to give the other team the ball as often.

Didn’t we all see the red flags last year and over the summer yet we sit on our hands and it affects us for the reminder of this year

In the end it probably doesn't matter though. There's only a handful of QBs in this league that can win games consistently with this defense.

At the time I was thinking pin them down, but I did admire going for it on 4th and 10. Part of me felt we should have been up at least 20-13 at that point so lets see what happens. Obviously that shift in field position set up the hail mary a few drives later.

Well somehow, Alex Smith is the key to the success the defense has, because when he's not the starter, the same D is straight up terrible.

It boils down to QB play and we just don't have one , Winston is better than TH and that's why they won
