I still and always will miss him. I will never forget how great he was.

saddest part of it for me is that his daughter is destined to grow up with nothing but pictures and videos to remember her father from.and no matter how much we miss him,it can't come close to how much his family misses him.

No, we should not forget him. It hasn't even been a year yet, man.

I don't think anyone wants to forget him, but something needs to be done with this thread. Archive it and link it to a Sean Taylor memorial page or something.

For the last couple of days since this thread has been bumped, I see it whenever I come to the Warpath and it turns my stomach. I find it hard to believe that I'm the only one that doesn't like to see the thread title every day.

So don't read it.

It's a little tough to not read the title when it's on the front page...

I was the one who "bumped" the thread. I assure you I had nothing but the best intentions in doing so. As I said in my post, I went back and read the entire thread, and all the warm wishes and support were touching.

I apologize sincerely to all those it upset or annoyed. Again, that was not my intent.

Re: Sean Taylor has died...

You don't have to click on it though.

I'm just saying, we're not about to start making rules as to what threads can be bumped or not. Close this one down and another Taylor thread will pop up anyway. It hasn't even been a year yet, and he's set to be honored on 11/30, so it's on people's minds and it's a relevant topic of conversation.

Ok. All I'm saying is the thread title itself is still a little jarring to see. The well wishes and remembrance's are all great. I'm glad that people still want to remember and honor Taylor, but my brain still subconsciously reacts to the thread title itself.

However, if I'm the only person, ignore my comments. I just had a feeling that I wasn't the only one.

I think this thread can be closed. It's purpose was for initial reactions to ST's death and remembering the man right after his died, and that time has passed. There will be other threads to remember ST, and I have no problem with those.

We certainly know what it's like to lose a loved one of the Gridiron.

Maybe we'll be lucky enough to see you guys in the Play-Offs this year!

I miss that guy for real. We may not ever see a Redskin saftey that good and play for us again. I live in South Florida (and Miami when he was shot) but I'm going to be there when we play the Giants and honor him. I couldn't have picked a better game to see the skins play at home for my first time. Win or lose.
#34 was a good man himself, Guitarzan.

I grew up 5 minutes by foot from "Payton's Hill." Some of my best memories are there.

It's unfathomable to consider the magnitude of the loss of a potentially hall of fame caliber safety at age 24, but the best tribute the Redskins' have given him is by building the strongest secondary in the NFL anyway, overcoming his loss and allowing his legacy of highlight reel plays to live on anyway.

His loss, and what could have been, still hurt. We are just unbelievably lucky to have a guy like Chris Horton step right in and save us from having to wonder what could have been when we should be thinking about winning games.

Beleive me, man I haven't forgotten in the slightest. I will never forget. I just dont like getting on here looking at threads and seeing "Sean Taylor has died". Atleast change the same of the thread to "Sean Taylor memorial" or something along those lines. I just don't like the name of this thread, thats all.

It's been a while, but the team still misses him. Does Andre Johnson make the 4th and 10 catch in the end zone if it's 21 going up for the jump ball?

Great minds think alike, the way LL's playing at SS imagine if ST was alive playing FS this is what we imagined when we drafted them.

HTTR.

If he does so, it is minus a kidney and several vertebrae.....
I still think like....MAN...HOW did that happen?
However, on the good side, it seems Dirty 30 is trying to live up to a little ST......

Is it me, or does Landry look like he really bulked up for this season? He looks like a beast and he's playing like one! Good for him.

He definitely bulked up during the off-season, I believe Haslett asked him to.. You are correct, Landry played like a beast last two games, and there's no reasons not to believe Landry will continue it.. Remember last off season, where some people were screaming for Redskins to trade Landry because he was supposed to be a busted pick

It is moot to continue this wishful thinking, only because nothing will come out from this except the bad thinking of our safeties.. My idol was and still is Sean Taylor - he played the game like everyone was supposed to do.. He put fear into every WR in NFL.. And yes Sean probably would have won the jump match against Andre Johnson.. But we are only dragging this on for nothing..

Re: Sean Taylor has died...

Well not sure if LL was suppose to be over there but if he was I'm thinking the out come may have also been different. ST was great but LL is our future.

It is still hard not to watch a Skins game and not wonder what it would be like with Sean back there. He is a guy who was a hell of a player. Even harder is to think he has a family and a little girl who will grow up without her father.

Ain't that the truth and being a father myself I couldn't imagine not being around for my daugther.

Re: Sean Taylor has died...

Here, Here thinking of leaving behind my fiance and child to live live without me is a scary...

I am surprised no one has said it, but if we are going to plat the "What If" ST is still here game, that TD at the end of the game would have been in junk time, because the Texans arent even in the game at that point.

I miss him still, he is one of my hereos and always will be. He died for the most important thing, his wife and child. He will be in heaven, I try and get myself in every day. :)

Re: Sean Taylor has died...

feels like a lost family member man, hate to even think about it. all the what ifs and coulda beens just make you miss him that much more... the worst part isn't even the football, but that he was turning his life around and then he was taken. his daughter will always have a second family with the skins nation & organization. some things are just too good to be true, he was the turn over machine, game changer that we need right now.

Re: Sean Taylor has died...

I hate it when we bring up sean taylor, cause I always think the "coulda's, woulda's, and shoulda's " with him in games (i.e. If we had sean this weekend would AJ of caught that jump ball on 4 & 10)

Landry is, don't get me wrong, doing a whole lot better than what he did all of the past two years. But he still is no sean taylor, and he still plays out of control, way more than sean did by his 4th year. (example LaRon laying out Reed Doughty more than the receiver with the ball, and him laying out reed doughty again when he was going for a pick)

Re: Sean Taylor has died...

I had a dream he decapitated AJ on that TD catch...sigh. I miss you ST.
