Williams is seen as the top in house candidate, but sources who have been in contact with members of Washington's existing coaching staff say that none of those coaches has been given any indication that they are in line for the opening at this point.

If we don't go with Grilliams I will be quite upset. Assuming we hire someone other than Williams, I guess Danny's "If it ain't broke don't fix it" mantra applies to himself and not to the coaching staff.

This is the best depiction I have seen of Synder. I was thinking, why Snyder would not want to hire a real GM, and it dawned on me. He is a fan, just like all of us, that knows little about the game. But, if any of us were as rich as him, and owned the Redskins, we would do the same thing.

Yeah, but you always need someone with experience to help you. My 3 candidates would be: Beathard (he's probably too old and enjoying surfing too much to comeback) Charlie Casserly and Bobby DePaul.

do you realize how much crap jeff would get if he was the head coach of the skins. if he lost one game he'd want to shoot himself to end his misery because of all the skins fans in his face about how he isn't experienced.

Okay, my vote is officially cast for Greg Williams. I would appreciate it if he retained Al Saunders as OC. If Greg says "No thanks, ya'll suck" then I would say go for some young no-name.

Has there been any discussion of Al Saunders being offered an interview, at least?

I don't think Saunders is even in the equation for HC. I'd be really surprised if he was interviewed.

Now JLC is recanting his words and saying Greg Will be our coach. I hope he is wrong about changes on the offensive side of the ball. We were finally beginning to see flashes of the Saunders offense.

if williams does'nt get the job and all the other coaches are let go,the skins will not win 5 games next season!!!!he at least deserves a chance!

Looks like 94.21% (at the time of this post) of us were wrong.

So let me ask, if not Fassel or Williams, who would everyone want? There isn't much else out there. Maybe the Pats offensive coordinator Josh McDaniels?

I think it's pretty obvious that when it came down to interview time, Sndyer and Vinny were less than impressed with what GW envisioned for the team. Did Vinny do such a bad job getting Gregg the players he wanted that he would demand his ouster?
