Honestly, this isn't about Libby, it could be about the Clintons for all I care. The fact of the matter is "when [he talks] to senior government officials on the phone, it's [his] policy [that the] conversations are confidential. If [he wants] to use anything from that conversation, then [he] will ask permission [to do so]." If his body of work is based on his relationship with the establishment what exactly is his role?
This is a classic example of how people hear what they want to hear. In this case we're both guilty as charged because I think David Gregory is completely in the tank for the Republicans. I watch MTP religiously and can assure you he's not lobbing soft balls at Dems on his show. In fact, he's had Joe Scarborough on the program twice in as many months. John McCain is a regular on the show and Gregory never challenges the crap that he spews out of his mouth. He'll ask McCain, do you think President Obama is reaching out to Republicans? Like what the eff is McCain suppose to do, hold Obama up to God and call him wonderful? No follow-up questions, no examples of Obama reaching accross the aisle. Nothing. Just let McCain ramble on and then on to the next question. What, last week he had Dick Armey on the program. A few weeks before that, Fred Thompson. Fred freaking Thompson!? Good god man, I'd rather you exume Reagan's corpse and have him on before you put old man Thompson in front of me pretending that he's credible.

I've sat in amazement Sunday after Sunday hoping that Gregory will one day live up to the standard Russert has set only to come away disappointed. We do agree on one thing, however, Steph's show is better than MTP. But not by much.
Like I said, I don't watch it. John McCain is a Republican?

Re: What has Obama done well?

Obama can speak English at a 12 grade level

Obama doesn't embarrass the United States whenever he speaks.

Obama is opened minded. He's not like, "your for me or against me."

Obama will actually take questions from Republicans at a town hall style event.

Obama doesn't go on vacation when his country needs him the most.

Obama has gotten under much better ties with North Korea and Russia and Muslims.

Obama is bringing the Iraq war to a close. Hopefully, the 2011 date will hold true................but at least we have a date when most forces will be out of Iraq.

Things he's done wrong -

Talking to Republicans..........talking to a dumbass is like trying to get Bush to "stand up" during an attack. Its hard, very hard, to get your point across to someone that has a low IQ. Obama has failed miserably at that. You see, Public Option plan? It sounds weird. It sounds complicated. Its hard to understand what is public about an option? But, Death Panel is easy to understand, Illegal Immigrant coverage is easy. Abortion coverage is easy. And thats what Repubicans get. You see, he needs to understand who he's talking to. If he had come out and said something easy and something simple his Health Care Plan would have already passed. Something like "Medicare for all" or "Poor Man's Plan" or "Affordable Health Care" or "GrandMa's plan" People.............Republicans..........could have understood that better and thats Obama's Problem. He really needs to understand who he's talking to when he wants bipartisanship and Keep It Simple. Hopefully, he'll be better at this when its time for the Employee Free Choice Act to pass.

Come on. Every President takes "vacations." I use the quotes because they never get away from work, even though they might move about the globe. GWB took more vacations than any other President in the history of the United States. Moreover, he did so during wartime and when the economy was faltering. But, you know what? He was in constant contact with his advisors. And I am sure the same is true of Obama.

I like the well-known fact that Obama is trying to undo the mess that Bush created. He is trying to withdraw our troops from Iraq (they never should have been there in the first place), and trying to focus on the war in Afghanistan and decide what to do among all the advice his military leaders is giving him.

I like the fact that he's scheduling town hall meetings to try to explain his health care plan and also to discuss in detail all the misinformation that the Bush crowd is spreading about his plan.

I'm too worked up about the Redskins offense to think of anything else...

I have no problem with Obama taking a vacation, everyone needs a break. I do find it interesting he is vacationing in one of the most elitist and still racially divided places in America. Bush hung out at his ranch and chopped wood. Last I checked the economy is still faltering and we are still at war.

If you pay attention to the latest polls, the American people (especially Independents) are turning sour on Obama and Obama Care. It's not just "dumbass" Republicans. This type of arrogance if continued by Obama and the Dems in attempting to ram socialized medicine down the American people's throat, is going to cost them dearly in 2010.
Clinton was a master politician and saw the socialized medicine debacle coming a mile away, that's why he let Hillary be the face of it, so when the doo-doo hit the fan, it wouldn't hit squarely on him. Obama is no Clinton.

And I would suggest someone who paints with as "wide a brush" in calling people dumbasses should look in the mirror to find the dumbass.

I don't know, poopy head. Maybe it's because more and more folks in 2008 wanted to disassociate themselves from the sinking ship. Sounds like you are a little butt hurt so a nerve was obviously struck.
It's nice to see a president that can have a beer because he isn't a dry drunk.
