Ha, I appreciate the irony. Although now I'm holding my breath for redskins chunky soup commercials...
LMAO I can see it now. Jason in the locker room with Campbell's soup and suddenly McNabb comes in with a can of chunky and says "try this, it's much better." |

Thank you. If I was already dead I could finally head off towards the light. Be careful though with the vommiting. If you keep doing that you won't live long enough to see McNabb win a Super Bowl with us :D And my long enough I mean 3 or 4 years.
LOL, here ya go.... Re: McNabb a REDSKIN!
Why are some of you folks mad about McNabb? That was a great move, sorry JC lovers but he wasn't going to be Shanny's QB. He knew it and so did the FO. As for Buffalo, I bet we could get a 3rd Rd pick for JC. Also there are still talks out there saying Cooley could be dealt. We are not done making moves, I trust Shanny/Allen all day!
Me and you about to become great friends, there is alot of reason, other's out there are upset, But they act like Shanny and Allen don't know shit about football, I'm sorry you guys didn't get your all american QB out of OK or South Bend, I am excited as hell, we get a future hall of fame QB with about 4 or 5 great years left, the difference is, that the Viking fan's were smart in welcoming Farve, some of you are just idiots......... |
Re: McNabb a REDSKIN!
Eagles now have 5 picks in the top 80. We have 1? :vomit:
|
Re: McNabb a REDSKIN!
Wow!!
The following tweets: Reggie Bush: Why would the Eagles trade McNabb to a team that plays in the same conference. (he meant divsion) Steve Smith/Giants: Wow!! Andy Roddick: The Eagles will regret it. The grass is always greener on the other side. |
Re: McNabb a REDSKIN!
OK JC is staying and we give them our 2nd rounder this year and the 4th rounder in 2011. Not bad at all!!!! Damn we are frigging stacked!!!!!

Re: McNabb a REDSKIN!
Stupid, stupid, stupid. McNabb doesn't necessarily make us a contender automatically. He couldn't get the job done last season with a superior WR corp than we have. We needed that #37 pick to shore up the line or get a possible new franchise QB. It is a gutsy move and I like it, but I don't think Donovan is such a head and shoulders imrprovement over JC since our team is inferior to Philly in many depts.
I understand the sentiment about the line, but the best rate of 2nd round QB's is astounding compared to their first round counterparts. Of course this is the deepest QB draft to come along in a while but still. |
Re: McNabb a REDSKIN!
I wondered what it was like to be a Vikings fan and bring in Favre. Now I know better.

Yeah but how many top rookie QBs have lived up to the hype coming out? Why take a chance when you can get a guy who you know is good? |

Washington is naturally warmer on average so the grass stays greener longer. |
No one's wanted to give us anything for Campbell for a while now.
anybody who might take him and another guy or two for a decent pick? |

Reid said it's a 4th next year that can become a 3rd...

I am with you. That is why I say draft a QB that didn't garner much hype. THose guys are the ones that pan out. I guess it will be Mallet in 2011. |
Re: McNabb a REDSKIN!
Let the drama begin . Maybe we are improved enough to contend for the east .

Yep I kinda feel like crap. But who knows, maybe a big trade with the Rams will supprise us all and I'll be asking you how you feel then. ;) |
Re: McNabb a REDSKIN!
This changes the make-up of the NFC East dramatically.

George Allen reincarnated, looks like Deja Vu 2010 style. |
This changes the make-up of the NFC East dramatically.
For Philly, maybe? But are they better or worse, in your opinion?

Re: McNabb a REDSKIN!
Not soon enough ;)
The 2010 Redskins aren't worse with McNabb than Campbell, but I mean, no evidence I can find suggests they are better (like, meaningfully so). And with that in mind, the only thing this does is takes a bold risk where perhaps a more conservative draft building approach would have sufficed. I think McNabb is a better fit here than plenty of the alternatives, but the bottom line is that we're buying name recognition. The big move comes at No. 4, as this is insignificant to that.
Well yes, number 4 will impact us more in the long run most likely who knows how we'd be in 11-13 with Campbell.. or if he'd be here |
Re: McNabb a REDSKIN!
You guys -most anyways- wanted a QB in the draft so why the anger? The FO must not have been impressed with this years crop of QB's coming out.
|
Re: McNabb a REDSKIN!
I know andy thundercock roddick is from nebraska....not sure if he's an IGGLE fan though.
|
Re: McNabb a REDSKIN!
How come he looks fat with a shirt on but when he takes it off he's ripped?
[YT]0qy_K1HBqb0[/YT] Also surprised to see that this is where he works out in Arizona. I always pictured him running around desert, running up plateaus or something. |
Re: McNabb a REDSKIN!
Reid said it's a 4th next year that can become a 3rd...
So for that to happen would mean that McNabb hit those numbers and we did pretty good getting him. |
Re: McNabb a REDSKIN!
there's not really much to add-on to what he's saying, or else other people would be arguing it as well

A qb can hit stats (JC did) and we still go 4-12. |
Re: McNabb is NOW a Redskin
wtf ? i'm not sure how i feel about this.
My thoughts exactly. |
Re: McNabb a REDSKIN!
Well the good news we won't see any more "Should We Pick _________ With Our Second Round Pick".
|
Re: McNabb a REDSKIN!
a 2nd and 3rd are a pretty good deal if we can get him to produce for us.
|
Re: McNabb a REDSKIN!
A 2nd and a possible later 3rd for a probowl QB. Now get a LT and watch this offense take shape.
|
Re: McNabb a REDSKIN!
Have to put this in persective, if the Skins can acquire a solid left tackle from somewhere, stay with the 4-3 defense. We might actually be a playoff contender.
Wow, it is going to be difficult to root for McNabb. If they go 8-8 this year, the trade is a total disaster, and sets us back 2 years. |
Re: McNabb a REDSKIN!
WOW.
I was just watching Undercover Boss on CBS and it was scrolling some crap at the top. I thought there was no way it was a winter weather warning, and on closer inspection, it was DONOVAN MCNABB. I can't say that I would have considered this a good deal before it happened. But Mike Shanahan and the Redskins front office, I believe I can trust when it comes to offensive players, which isn't something I could say with Vinny Cerrato. The Redskins traded a third round pick for Mark Brunell who was benched and clearly on the downside of his career. McNabb still had a great season last year, and hopefully he's got a few more left in the tank. This is also huge news because it's within the frigging division. How does that even happen? Also, I wonder if this means we're taking a DT because right now it's expected Bradford and Okung will be off the boards. |
Re: McNabb a REDSKIN!
Has anyone check out any Eagle fan sites to see what they are saying?

Or, he could not sign an extension, be gone, and we still pay out a 3rd/4th. Reminiscent of Jason Taylor. |
Re: McNabb a REDSKIN!
word is he wanted washington. so i wouldnt see why he wouldnt sign
|
Re: McNabb a REDSKIN!
So how many QBs do we have on the roster now? Big Soup, Lil Soup, Pineapple Jesus, I thought we had two others right?
This is either genius or ignorance. Personally I can't stand McNabb's whack ass. I like Soup. This is going to be the camp of all camps. Hopefully Allen can trade out of 4. If he doesn't they'd best get Okung. I still remember Big Soup getting trampled by D on that INT. Y'all remember that shit. It was so funny. I will say thing about McNabb, he knows how to beat every single team in the division including the Skins. |

in a nutshell, they don't like it. (for them) |
Re: McNabb a REDSKIN!
Chiming in...It's a bold move to be sure, and while I am not a JC basher, it is an upgrade. The man is a winner, and has been for years. Shanny will put him in a position to make plays, CC, DT and Moss give him weapons, Willie Parker maybe a 3rd down back, could be pretty explosive. Plus we didn't give up our first rounder. If we get 3-4 good years out of him I think its a good trade.
