I agree. Flip has even considered giving minutes to Booker at the #3 just because of the energy he brings in his limited time. There's a log-jam at the #4, and I'm not sold on Blache being the solution there.
With Blache, Yi and Lewis, I get rid of all of them. If one had to stay, Lewis by would be my choice, but Lewis is more fitness 3 IMO. Yi and Blache are turrrrrble as Chuck would say. Blanche has some talent, but he is not a fit here.

Booker has looked gud in the last 2 weeks, but his ceiling is a great bench energy guy, Id like to keep him in that roll. Hes physical.

Blache has been put in a situation where he's being counted on to produce at a high level on a consistent basis. He sometimes tries to do too much outside the framework of the offense. He's still young, and like so many young men his age, he could use a course in maturity.

I'm preparing to watch them play the Bucks as we speak.

Fun game last night. I could use a few more of those. The Cavs game is going to be like our playoffs (and theirs). How depressing. I guess I need to start watching more college basketball to scout out our top five draft pick.

The amount of college basketball currently being shown on ESPN is ridiculous. I think at my current place of residence I have 4 ESPN chanels (Classic, News, 1 and 2) and all to often there have been times where all four of them will have college basketball in some way, shape, or form. I also think I have ESPNU which is a no brainier for a 5th channel simultaneously covering college B-Ball with my 4 other ESPN channels.

Which is great because now instead of hearing how great "SEC Football done be" I get to hear about the magnificence that is "Big East" basketball.

Anyway now I'm hearing that every game of the March Tournament is going to be televised which is awesome because I wasn't getting enough college B-Ball as it was. Personally I wish I enjoyed it like I use to but who has time to get into yet another sport?

Enough is enough with Blatche. He's been in the league 5 years now, he's 24 years old and he still can't be depended on. I'm not even talking about on the court necessarily. In my opinion, he can't be moved out of here soon enough

:( Now that the Cavs have stopped their losing streak at 26, Sunday's massively hyped Losing Streak Bowl has lost its' luster. At least if the Wiz break their winless road streak it'll be on national t.v.

It was relaxing to watch us beat the Cavs. It mostly showed me how bad Cleveland is and how glad I am we don't have Antawn on our team any more. Love the guy, but watching him continually miss defensive assignments and jack up the 20 foot shots five seconds into the shot clock made me feel good about Blatche. Yeah, Blatche.

This season is looooong. At least DC United signed Charlie Davies...

When does Bibby's contract expire? If I read right he signed a 3 year $18 million deal in 2009 so I imagine that Summer 2012 would be the end of Bibby's contract. Of course that doesn't take into account possible opt-out and buyout clauses.

Still if the new CBA features a hard cap that puts an end to these super teams with stars surrounded by role players then the Wizards are well on their way to building a quality team from the ground up as I believe they now have 3 first round picks, one which will be an early lottery and two late first round picks that could be used to move up or traded for first rounders next year.

Yeah! Hinrich and Armstrong were both inactive for tonights game, They were in street clothes on the bench for the first half, at the beginning of the second half they were nowhere to be found.

This deal would appear to be about young Crawford and a 1st rd. pick. I dont see Bibby with a future here but, was probably made a part of the deal to make the salries match.

Bibby mentorship with Wall, why not? Getting the 1st round pick is big. Know nothing about Crawford. Id say its a win for us.

Not only a win, but a steal.

Jordan Crawford has potential, but a first round pick included? With a top pick in the off-season and a pick in the middle of the first round, our FO is doing a fine job looking long-term. A very fine job.

Not to mention Booker and Seraphin getting more minutes.

I have no problem with Bibby, as a matter of fact he's one of the best three point shooters in the league at 44.1 percent, and is averaging 9 ppg. He's owed 6 mil compared to Hinrich's 8 mil, with the team interest in saving money and getting younger, I see the logic.

Evans salary is off the books at the conclusion of the season, another 1.2 mil to pursue other areas. Grunfeld didn't want to make a deal that didn't include Jordan Crawford, a young player with promise along with the Hawks 1st rd. pick to continue their build towards the future. Good deal for the Wizards.

I never got the feeling Hinrich wanted to be here either. He did what he had to do but, I also have a feeling he's happy to be with a contender.

Personally, I view social networking becoming more and more a problem for professional athletes. In too many instances the content of their communication is out of control. If these guys can't check themselves, they need to be checked.

This team is constantly beset with injuries. Lewis's production has been on the decline despite moments where he's played well. Difficult at this point to determine just what the long-term affects will be, how hard he will be willing to rehab back to a lottery team at this point in his career.

When it comes to the Wizards there's not much to talk about these days but, in discussing the development of JaVale McGee....He has to learn how to harness some of his athleticism and play more under control, also remembering he's not a point guard

Re: Washington Wizards 2010-2011 Ongoing Thread

Jordan Crawford is legit... he just dropped a triple-double in relief of Wall. Albeit against the Cavs, but this isn't a fluke- Craw's been on a tear the past few weeks.

So much for being a throw-in to that Hinrich trade (according to some, EG wouldn't have made the trade without Craw). Kirk Hinrich netted the Wiz: Kevin Seraphin, Jordan Crawford, Atl's '11 first rounder and the opportunity to get out of a big contract (Bibby's second year released).

Oh yeah- JaVale McGee may have turned a corner, consistency-wise. Seeing some nice post moves from him lately.

Keep your fingers crossed for Derrick Williams.
