Re: Redskins vs. Ravens, Pre-Season Game 2, Gameday Thread
if anyone knows the need for depth it's us
True enough, but I keep reading how the Ravens "beat us on both sides of the ball". Maybe they beat our second and third string, but overall I was happy with the starters effort. Basically all I learned from this game was that our starters on both offense and defense are going to be fine and that I'm hoping we don't have to put in more than 3 backup offensive linemen at a time. The Ravens also totally acted like they had an actual game-plan. |
Re: Redskins vs. Ravens, Pre-Season Game 2, Gameday Thread
How the F did Davis get run down?! He's way faster than that...
|
Re: Redskins vs. Ravens, Pre-Season Game 2, Gameday Thread
to me the defense looks lost and out of place in the new defense, its going to take a couple years to get players to fit the scheme IMO.

Thanks go out to Doug Dutch.

I didn't watch the game...but i'm not too worried about us really. Just a pre-season game. Now had their starters wiped the floor with us..i'd be worried...but they didn't also don't forget we played the bills last week...and the bills are not on the level the ravens are. just how the bills aren't on our level..they just play in an easier division..hence how they had more wins last season. |

i am watching on tape delay my dvr, seeing mcnabb play vs. campbell OMG i have a boner right now, this guy rocks!!!!!

Even so, I wouldn't even say our starters and their starters were equal, I think we actually took that shit right to their dome. |
Re: Redskins vs. Ravens, Pre-Season Game 2, Gameday Thread
HA! Another all-out blitz. How many did we see from the Skins tonight? None? Good for you Ravens. Enjoy that preseason W. Love to meet these buttholes in the Super Bowl. Flacco is trash and would get destroyed.

LOL. Should be rules against that in the preseason. |
Re: Redskins vs. Ravens, Pre-Season Game 2, Gameday Thread
They really poured gatorade on Jim Zorn.
|
Re: Redskins vs. Ravens, Pre-Season Game 2, Gameday Thread
Jim Zorn just got a Gatorade bath on the Ravens sideline.
|
Re: Redskins vs. Ravens, Pre-Season Game 2, Gameday Thread
All this does is bring some folks down to earth. The crushing of the Bills obviously didn't mean a damn thing, as it shouldn't since it is preseason. The starting D was solid and the run D did pretty well for the most part. We also are getting some answers about our RB situation, meaning LJ is pretty much a goner. Would have liked to see Williams or Torain in a bit against the starters to really gauge LJ, but that will be for the next two preseason games. Nice to see Armstrong do nicely. He will be a good replacement for Kelly. I am not worried, yet anyway, as we still have 3 weeks of peseason left to get things ironed out.

Re: Redskins vs. Ravens, Pre-Season Game 2, Gameday Thread
Wow looks like the ravens actually wanted to win a preseason game for a coach?? Lol sad
|
Re: Redskins vs. Ravens, Pre-Season Game 2, Gameday Thread
Guess this was Zorn's Superbowl

I can only hope that it was that honestly we had enough issues without all of that that it doesn't look promising a few mistakes kept us away from some good things zorn def has a chip |

Nothing to bad . Sensaubaugh dislocated shoulder . Ther oline looks really bad. Talk about depth? Romo got killed . Free is slower than a turtle |
Re: Redskins vs. Ravens, Pre-Season Game 2, Gameday Thread
Boys have only 1 td in 3 games with their starters wow
|
Re: Redskins vs. Ravens, Pre-Season Game 2, Gameday Thread
Wow Chase Daniel had a 146 QB rating tonight. We really messed up by cutting him and not Brennan. Not sure Shanny would have kept him, but he was better than Brennan.

Romo isn't looking so great either, especially with that banged up line. Not much of a running game either. IF we can't beat these guys Sept 12 we are in a load of hurt. |
Re: Redskins vs. Ravens, Pre-Season Game 2, Gameday Thread
fine..
we scored 3 if you can defend that you're the new Johnny Cochrane
The Colts went 1-3 in preseason last year and lost to the lowly Bills this week. Re: Redskins vs. Ravens, Pre-Season Game 2, Gameday Thread
I wouldn't say that Gus. They are a good team
|
Re: Redskins vs. Ravens, Pre-Season Game 2, Gameday Thread
Look at Steve Spurrier's pre-season record enough said! Pre-Season = nothing
|
Re: Redskins vs. Ravens, Pre-Season Game 2, Gameday Thread
Just heard Kareem Moore has a sprained MCL. Judging by the look on his face when he was walking off the field, that's good news.
|
Re: Redskins vs. Ravens, Pre-Season Game 2, Gameday Thread
I kinda expected this to happen. No worries here.
|
Re: Redskins vs. Ravens, Pre-Season Game 2, Gameday Thread
Btw. Buchanon looked horrible tonight. That isn't going to cut it.

Re: Redskins vs. Ravens, Pre-Season Game 2, Gameday Thread
I wonder how many of you who are saying "preseason means nothing" were saying that last weekend when we scored 42 points. And would you be saying that tonight if we were on the winning end of a 23-3 game? During the preseason it's a convenient stance to take when you look like crap.
Me? I'm glad we took one on the chin. The preseason is all about learning what kind of team you've got from the top of the roster to the bottom. A gut check that means nothing come week 1 can't be all that bad. Now coaches will have some shitty film to bust balls over on Monday morning. Use it as a learning tool and move on. |
Re: Redskins vs. Ravens, Pre-Season Game 2, Gameday Thread
Can anyone confirm moore
|
Re: Redskins vs. Ravens, Pre-Season Game 2, Gameday Thread
How so? Their starters absolutely did not. They had almost no pass rush even though they obviously had a game plan and kind of seemed like they "cared" enough to win. I'm not worried.
PROUD for you.... BUT as I stated, not catastrophic, but yes we were generally outplayed....hence the 10 point differential of starters on starters with RAY and some others sidelined? The D was better than the O but we had many drops and McNabb failed on several bad thro. O-line did not make it, but not.....horrible. TOOO MANY blitzes came untouched. Not enough run blocking...etc |

A good team with ever dwindling depth and a shoddy looking O line. They haven't looked good at all. Sure we didn't look great tonight either, but we sure look better than the Boys thus far as a whole. |
