Re: Around the NFL - Offseason thread
Heard last week that if he didn't get tagged, yes we would be interested. Looking to add a starting caliber DB this offseason from what I've heard
QB WR CB Interior OL Not necessarily in that order
Him (and Marques Colston, whom I met the other day) are the only guys I think Need to be redskins next year. Signing Carr, IMO will be the same equivalent to signing London Fletcher a few years ago. |

what would stop the saints from franchising nicks?

Royal and Garcon are the names I've most often heard And Colston though from what I hear the Jaguars are going to basically offer him a truckload of money and then some |
Re: Around the NFL - Offseason thread
So a CB squad of:
Brandon Carr Josh Wilson 3rd round pick (Bentley/Johnson) Kevin Barnes Byron Westbrook I like that. |

Re: Around the NFL - Offseason thread
I'd like to do better than Royal in free agency.
A lot better. |
I'd like to do better than Royal in free agency.
A lot better.
As would I. My personal favorite is Dwayne Bowe. LSU bias but whatever. |

Good luck with that... Bowe is as good as franchised. |

i smell a franchise tag on nicks

I wouldn't doubt it. Vincent Jackson or Marques Colston would be fine too. |

I'm hoping for younger WRs, but that might not be an option anymore. |
I'm hoping for younger WRs, but that might not be an option anymore.
brandon lloyd was young once
|
No way kc let's bowe go and d hall isn't going anywhere folks. I'd be down with garcon since we'd also have Manning to throw it to him

And Colston though from what I hear the Jaguars are going to basically offer him a truckload of money and then some
I don't know why Jax won't offer VJ or Reggie Wayne? I've heard the same that their going to get at least 1 number 1 WR in FA, maybe even two why do they like Colston more than them? We gotta be pretty aggressive, this is the one year that we have great number 1 WR's in the market (that are big too), and we're gonna supposedly get Royal and Garcon? 2 slot/speedsters that aren't proven number 1's? Ughhh. Like I said, 2 FA starters thats it make it Carr and Colston, I'll be one happy man. |
Re: Around the NFL - Offseason thread
I'd like to do better than Royal in free agency.
A lot better.
I definitely want Royal in free agency. However no way in hell do I want him to be the best receiver we sign this offseason. |
Re: Around the NFL - Offseason thread
What, No Mario Manningham?
|
Re: Around the NFL - Offseason thread
What, No Mario Manningham?
I've been thinking about him. He's still young unlike the others. I wonder if he has the mental makeup to be paid top-dollar by the Giants or another team and live up to the expectations of it. |
Re: Around the NFL - Offseason thread
Manningham will get money from somebody, but it won't be the Redskins. Realistically, he's a #3, maybe a #2 on a good day. The guy decided to show up during the big game (Super Bowl) and that's going to get him brownie points.

And Colston though from what I hear the Jaguars are going to basically offer him a truckload of money and then some
Royal & Garcon works for me. I am still not of the belief that we need to throw huge money at the WR position. With few exceptions...the QB makes the WR. The free agent WR that I do think is worth the big contract is Bowe but with all the cap dollars KC has he will never see free agency. |
Early in the season, there was a game when Kyle [Orton] got hurt and the coaches were calling for me to go in, but Kyle got up and finished the game out. So I was the second-string guy. Then, a few weeks later, they decided to put Tim in. I felt like the fans had a lot to do with that. Just ’cause they were chanting his name. There was a big calling for him. No, I didn't have any billboards. That would have been nice.

In one passage, Broncos star linebacker Von Miller gives credit to the team -- "I mean, you could just see our team's resiliency in action. Nobody was giving up" -- and then Quinn offers a different reason for the Broncos' surge: "We’ve had a lot of, I guess, luck, to put it simply."
Sad when fans are dictating personnel moves. Glad our coaches don't do this. |
Re: Around the NFL - Offseason thread
I dont want a WR that still has Giant stink on him.
|
Re: Around the NFL - Offseason thread
Manningham is gonna try to cash in, he's not worth it.
Nicks or Cruz I would take in a heartbeat. |
Re: Around the NFL - Offseason thread
I think the Saints will Sign Nicks to ,long deal and TAG Colston? This of course is if they dont have to TAG Brees
|
Re: Around the NFL - Offseason thread
Manningham could be our number 2, I've always liked him since his UM days.. I'd stil like to see Garcon with Manning of course

I'll pass, Royal and Garcon are the same age and Bowe is only a year older. |

As if Brady Quinn could've led the Broncos to the playoffs. I'm no Tebow fan, but you gotta give the dude some credit, he's no run of the mill schmo. |

Jabar had a good year for sure, but he isn't the playmaker MM is/can be at times. Both are solid 2's |
