Ok, stupid question....

I know yesterday there were tons of fans visiting this site and threads were difficult to get into. I understood the possible need for two FA tracking threads, but it would be a lot easier to maybe combine the two so all we have to do is be in one thread vs. jumping to see whats in both or people writing things twice. Just asking.
How dare you question the mods!
It would be nice if people kept the conversations in each thread to the thread topic. People get lazy and just keep writing on one thread. Or you have some stupid joker writing the same thing in three threads. I think a single thread would just get too large right away. People just need to stick to the thread topic.
Thank You. Don't think I don't appreciate your unbiased oppinion. I'd just like to point out that for someone with such emotional ties to thread topics I noticed you failed to do so when you :spank: me.

I think in general we'd be better off if people spend more time reading and less time posting. I know everyone wants to be a news breaker, but often times it's just duplicate postings.

Lions just extended Calvin Johnson for seven years through 2019.
Dollar figure to be released later today but it should be up there.

I know somebody already posted the Eric Wright signing, but wanted to comment on this salary.

CB Eric Wright's deal with Tampa Bay: 5 years, $37.5 million, including $15.5 million guaranteed.

Why are mediocre CBs getting a 7mil/year salary?...lol

They're the divas of the defense, same egos as WRs.

Holy smokes. I'm not sad that we didn't get him now. He's not a bad player but he's not a $7.5 mil player either.

Nice. Should weaken their line. I know he lost his starting job but he was good depth.

Yea i agree... hmm what you think about this Matty, maybe a single new thread where the mods or someone who wants to volunteer in keeping it updated accordingly with official contract signings by free agents or trades etc, no one gets to post opinions, replies or anything like that, just simple post along with a link to the story all in 1 thread. I think it would make it easier for people to keep up with everything.

The Bucs are the new Redskins, spending wildly on all the big names.

Raheem Morris must be pissed. "Where was all of this when I was there?"

Wrong place. Wrong time. He had the "restricted FA" to deal with his first year, and the lockout to deal with his second. Thems the breaks.

Right now, I"m still trying to wrap my head around paying a WR 19mil/year. I don't care WHO it is...lol

If they were going to make you the highest paid defensive player in the league you would.

It's not that bad, he'll only have to play between 4 and 6 games in really bad Buffalo weather. Gets to travel to Miami once in the winter to offset one of the home games.

For his salary, he should be willing to play anywhere in any elements.

Still, from Houston to Buffalo...big shock to the system.

Yeah, that's what I'm talking about. Just from a pure demographic/cultural perspective, Buffalo is definitely at a big "competitive disadvantage".

Good for them though, they seem to be moving in the right direction.

Brandon Lloyd visiting with SF. He played well for them, a ton of highlight-reel catches. THAT'S WHY WE SIGNED HIM...and he proceeded to forget how to play, until he left us and he's suddenly good again.

The good thing about the cornerbacks going off the market is that Dallas has had Carr there all yesterday and this morning, and I can just see his price tag going up and up (since Dallas is intent on signing him, this only makes them more cap strapped elsewhere - also hate that I am forced to have some sympathy with them due to the NFL's stupidity)

The cowboys board has been saying its a done deal for the past 20 hours even as his price ticked up hour by hour.

No. Brandon Lloyd went to Chicago and didn't do anything either. BL didn't start playing until he realized his career (and money) were on the line and it was his last shot. This has nothing to do with our organization as to why he failed, but more to he failing because he decided to tank it after getting paid.

130 mil can make a man delusional. CJ is good but he's not worth 19 mil a year.
