Yeah, but that's how so many people get caught. |

Me too, but that would still mean he has set a new high water mark naivety. My God. Im starting to lean twards either he found out he was getting hoaxed and out of fear of ridicule maybe faked her death???? How does he know her casket closed at 9 am? Who supposedly told him this? He was a virgin or gay and trying to be one of the guys? This is strait up the craziest shit ive heard in a long time. |
Depends on how deep the rabbit hole goes, but I could see teams having serious trust issues with the kid and questions about his decision making and overall character. He's not undraftable, but again depending on how deep this thing goes I think it could be enough of a red flag for some teams to cross him off their board.
If he has a good combine and was on my radar id still draft him. He was a good football player through this all. |

Yeah but if you're going to invest millions and a high pick in someone, you want to make sure all your bases are covered on and off the field. |

Hey im just tossing out possible explanations. I would love to know the facts. Edit: im not assuming anything. Im speculating. Big difference. |

If it was a legal issue it would worry more because that could lead to a loss of playing time obviously. If he produces on the field i really dont care what he does in his spare time - as long as its legal and he is on time. Lol. |

I knew you didn't go to far Vinny. Just look at our locker room now vs the past and tell me character doesn't matter. If anything our locker room shows character and hard work can account for more than just raw ability. And look at teams like Pittsburgh, you so much as fart in front of the wrong people and your done. This is going to hurt his draft stock either way, wether he is the most guliable person on earth or just another lying physopath. Such a crazy ass story either way, can't wait to find out what the hell really went down. |

Roethlisberger has had his problems which all come down to poor off-field decision making (carelessly riding a motorcycle, having public sex with an underage passed out woman) and Harrison is headcase with serious attitude problems that constantly hurt the team. Yet, they play well together. Yeah, character definitely matters, but there are a lot of guys who we wouldn't call "good" who can work well with a team, and from everything we've seen with Teo, he is a team leader and a team player. I'd love his stock to fall far enough for the Skins to pick him up. |
Re: 2013 NFL Draft Prospects
i feel like we should have made another thread for this, but too late now.
not sure if anyone poured this gas on the fire yet, but here goes 9 baffling questions in the Manti Te'o girlfriend hoax - U.S. News |
Re: 2013 NFL Draft Prospects
yeah my bad on not starting a new thread on this. Didn't think it would escalate as much as it did. Go ahead and start one, and we'll tell people to discuss Te'o there

Re: 2013 NFL Draft Prospects
Been watching film on Phillip Thomas from Fresno Statr lately.
|
Re: 2013 NFL Draft Prospects
William Ghoston... 1st round talent, size of a long big 3-4 end, nasty disposition, probably available in 3rd or 4th rounds. Looks a lot like the DE version of Burfict where you could tell there was potential, but attitude and bad coaching held him back.

Rambo has to be good just cause of the name. |

Im bout this Rambo life at safety. He balls hard Bacarri Rambo | Georgia, FS : 2013 NFL Draft Scout Player Profile |

So I now assume we have some serious interest in Barraci Rambo. |

I have, I like his ball hawking ability. Roams very well. If I had to choose between him and Thomas I would take Rambo. |
havent seen him play, heard he is the man. You like? Kiper mentioned him
I do like him, but I like Rambo better. A Rambo+Mathieu 2nd and 3rd round for me would be ideal. |
Re: 2013 NFL Draft Prospects
i like elam the best I think out of the safeties, he really flys around and is a ballhawk. but i think he will be long gone by our pick but hopefully not.

Re: 2013 NFL Draft Prospects
SS, have you been hearing that we really like Rambo?
Besides his name, he is a hell of a player. Him and Shawn Williams. Right now he's on that fringe late 2nd/early 3rd. He'd be a great pick up. See his game against Georgia Tech. Theres actually a possibility we could get him and his buddy Shawn Williams in the same draft. Williams is a Brian Dawkins leader, and a Lawyer Milloy hitter. I would love the idea of creating a Georgia or LSU secondary by drafting most of their players (sadly I could see Dallas doing that too since they already have Claiborne and need a FS and have a 1st if they wanted to get Eric Reid) Also Kiper kept mentioning the name JJ Wilcox, FS Georgia Southern who is a converted WR. I watched his samford Highlights and was not impressed. |
Re: 2013 NFL Draft Prospects
DJ Swearinger a very close 2nd. He can flat out ball.
|
Re: 2013 NFL Draft Prospects
I have not heard anything about the draft yet

TJ McDonald (Tim's son) is not too shabby either. |
Ray Ray ARmstrong. Just going to throw that name out there once more.
Ray Ray ARmstrong. Just going to throw that name out there once more.
Ray Ray might be a huge steal. Got in trouble for a poor judgement call with a booster but doesn't seem to have drug problems. I read he has been a leader and great teammate at the small school he transfered to this year, which i can't remember the name of.you can't deny his size and athleticism for a SS. Another SS with his size is a small school kid from Richmond Cooper Taylor. 6'4 230 with nice hips and good speed. Will also lay the wood. Has been playing well in the Shrine bowl practices all week. Could be a good value in the 5/6th rounds. |
Re: 2013 NFL Draft Prospects
Just some prospect names to throw out there.
OT: 1. Menelik Watson 6'5 317Florida st-(2nd) Super raw but a perfect ZBS fit who should run around a 4.8 40. Kiper just mocked him in the first and even tho its a stretch if hes available with our 2nd Id take him before any S or CB. 2. Oday Abushi 6'5 315 Virginia-(2nd) Great fit and a local kid 3. Justin Pugh 6'6 295 Syracuse-(2nd) Young but super talented 4. Brian Winters 6'4 302 Kent st-( 3/4th) Small School kid who dominated and could be a RT with utility OL flexability. 5. Brennan Williams 6'6 320 North Carolina-(3/4th) Was a possible 1st rounder till an injury, could be a steal but also might be another injury concern we dont need. 6. Terron Armstead 6'4 303 Arkansas Pine-bluff-(4/6th) Another small school kid with a quick side step and has been straight up dominating at Shrine bowl practices. 7. Reid Fragel 6'7 290 Ohio st-(5/7th) Super athletic but also super raw prospect who would fit our scheme very. Last year Shanny said he liked this years tackles alot and that was why he didnt take one earlier last year. So I do believe we will draft a RT higher this year to protect our QB of the future. But we also have Compton waiting in the wings with Hurt being a solid utility OL. I doubt we draft a IOL after drafting two last year. But I do think we draft another OT prospect to replace Black, being early as a starter or late and as depth. |

Heres a name to remember (popular one thats been mentioned before) Kyle Long G/T Oregon. Potential is HUGE. He went from 2nd string to arguably the Ducks best lineman by seasons end. Could be an eagle though with Chip there now. |
