I read that article the other day and I couldn't agree more. If Garcon plays the Redskins will win regardless..... |

It might be different in the pros but I do not remember offensive linemen taking walkthroughs very seriously. Basically just a review of what you should already know. |

Nice. I wish the best for him, hopefully he has a long career in the DC media. |
Re: Redskins News & Notes Chapter 6
Watching the SEC media day, Will Muschamp (the coach at Florida) keeps talking about how good Jordan Reed was for them and how much of a mismatch he created. "We are better at every position... except Tight End".
I am excited to see Reed play, him and Davis could create huge mismatches. |

If he had the work ethic of someone like RG3 maybe some of those injuries wouldn't have taken such a toll. |

I think the list was about total accomplishments throughout their careers, and not just recent seasons. Wins > Bad personnel decisions. |
Just curious who would you put a number one? I think the list was about total accomplishments throughout their careers, and not just recent seasons.
Wins > Bad personnel decisions.
Right now, I would rather have either Harbaugh over Belichick, and even Coughlin. Shanahan is in the right spot at 7. (McCarthy and Payton are also guys who RIGHT NOW are better coaches and personnel decision makers than Belichick. I was reading somewhere the other day about how Belichick used to make good personnel decisions when Scott Pioli was there because Pioli would butt heads with Belichick, now theres no one in the office who has the balls to put down Belichick and his decisions have been biting them in the ass for the past couple of years. He still cannot draft a DB. |
Re: Redskins News & Notes Chapter 6
I don't think the list is taking into account personnel decisions, not all coaches call their own shots.
|
Re: Redskins News & Notes Chapter 6
I think that Belichick at #1 is the only slam dunk on the list.
Nevertheless, it crossed my mind that he should have been moved down because of that ugly hoodie he's always wearing. |

Re: Redskins News & Notes Chapter 6
Disagree, to me the list is on target except for Rex Ryan, way to high on the list.
No, Ryan to me is a good HC. He's where he should be. If he didn't have Sanchez, and actually had a good QB, we'd all think that he's a top 10 coach. |
Re: Redskins News & Notes Chapter 6
Part of the reason mark Sanchez ended up being so bad is because of the way Rex Ryan handled him. Made him above everyone else and overly protected him. That locker room was divided and that is on the coach. I don't see the jets making the playoffs and 3 years of not making a playoff appearance... That isn't top 10 and he will be fired as be should be. And then he will end up on the lions.
|

Rex Ryan is a D coach nothing more. |
Re: Redskins News & Notes Chapter 6
Rex Ryan is a D coach nothing more.
Agree to an extent. He is only a good head coach when he has the team believing in him like years one and two. They believe and like the bravado and arrogance. Now I think he just comes off as a broken record. It will be interesting to see how his career goes if he loses his job after another poor season. |
Re: Redskins News & Notes Chapter 6
Rex Ryan is a D coach nothing more.
I agree. It seems that anyone who plays or coaches in NYC is likely to be hyped and overrated by the NYC-based media. As perennial also-rans, the Jets would be virtually ignored by the national media if they played in another city and because of that Rex Ryan would be ranked lower on this list. |
