Re: Fantasy Football 2013 Thread
I lost because RG3 gave ME nothing smh
|
Re: Fantasy Football 2013 Thread
I lost because Matt Ryan threw 4 picks. I lost by 4. If he threw just 2 I would have at least tied.
My big question heading into yesterday was starting Jordan Cameron ahead of Reed or at my flex spot. Turns out Reed had more points for the TE position, but Cameron had more than my # 2 WR Decker..... Jarret Boykin scored a little more than Cameron and he was my flex player. |
Re: Fantasy Football 2013 Thread
Finally I am in position to win this week barring a 40 point game from Zac Stacy, the Rams rb. Tom Brady let me down as per usual, only scoring 7 points, but I got 11 from Fred Jackson, 14 from AD, 13 from Demaryius Thomas, 14 from Wes Welker, 9 from Jordan Reed, 13 from Harry Douglas, 13 from Nick Folk and 16 from the Cardinals d. No superstar performances there but solid contributions from my entire lineup.

Mine had Stafford and Calvin. Automatic loss. :D I only lost by about 12 points somehow. RGIII gave me 0 points, turnovers are crippling in this scoring setup. I also get popped for a fumble and again for a lost fumble...double-dipping...I hate it. |
Re: Fantasy Football 2013 Thread
Is Roddy White EVER going to play? All I wanna do is cut his ass.

I had Drew Brees and Andy Dalton in my 2QB league this past week :headbanger: |

I thought about sending a trade offer for him but decided against it for now. In my money league, I just picked up Doug Martin. He was dropped when the initial reports said he was gone for the year. Now he's saying "soon", maybe in the next 2 weeks he'll be back. Dropped Helu for him. If he plays again this year...nice scoop up for me. |

you should have dropped him for harry douglas when julio went down. |

Picked up Douglas in one league but didn't wanna drop Roddy because I didn't know a high ankle sprain took 10 weeks to come back from. Question about this week's matchup. Do I go with Gio Bernard vs. Miami or Danny Woodhead vs. Skins? I hate starting players who play against us, because I don't want them to do good... But.. Ya know. |

I love the Skins and I'll take a Skins win over a ff win any day of the week, but I know our defense isn't that good too. Either way both of them had 14 and 13 points for me, which contributed to my win, so I'm not regretting that decision. |
Right now I have the all injured team. On my bench, in one league, I have Harvin, Vereen and White. I am hoping they can give me the final push into the playoffs and beyond over the final weeks.
In one league, If Harvin & Vereen come in strong, I will have as my RB & WR's: RB: Morris, Murray, R.Williams & Vereen, L. Bell WR: J.Nelson, AJ GReen, Harvin, Ashlon Jeffrey Picking five (2 RB , 2 WR & Flex) out of those will be tough. Undoubtedly, I will end up consistently choosing the wrong five. (J. Thomas is my TE and Brady my QB) |
Re: Fantasy Football 2013 Thread
I'm really screwed because Arian Foster may not play (and he plays Sunday night which is another issue) and I have no one to drop to pick up Danny Woodhead. My team is currently:
RG3 Steve Smith Boykin Keenan Allen Alfmo Foster Gates Crosby Chiefs DEF Bench: Reed Moreno Blackmon Andre Johnson Brady TY Hilton So basically. I can't drop anyone there can I? I don't wanna lose any of those guys. I might just have to eat it if Foster doesn't play because Denver is on a bye. |
Re: Fantasy Football 2013 Thread
Alright guys critique the trade I just accepted. I gave up Fred Jackson for Phillip Rivers and Justin Blackmon. Blackmon will probably ride my bench but at least I don't have to start Brady anymore. I'm trying to figure out if I can get a decent 2nd starter running back for Brady right now.

Although I'm not sure how much better Woodhead would be over them. I know if you drop Hilton or Blackmon they'll most likely get picked up, unless there's plenty of decent waiver wideout options. |

Who are yr rb? |

AD and my choice of Woodhead or Tolbert. Like I said, hopefully I can flip Brady for a 2nd starter because I don't trust either of those guys to get consistent touches. Not sure who would be a decent trade offer though. And I'm concerned because apparently my league has it set so my trade offer is pending until Saturday morning so owners can vote whether to veto my trade. I can't wait around until Saturday to trade Brady because then it won't go through until early next week. |

I just don't like getting rid of a rb like Jackson. Brady gonna turn it around. I imagine u weren't doing shit in that league? |

Well, looks like DRave needs a RB if Foster is out. So even if Woodhead isn't much of an upgrade, its cut someone or get a goose egg out of one of your RB slots. Check your stats. Maybe a 0 is not a death knell. Can you take a loss? Blackmon and Hilton are tough cuts and will be snapped up. If you have to pick one, I would go with Blackmon - just cause the Jags suck. |

True but Jackson is always going to split carries with Spiller. He's a solid #2 but that's his peak. And I'm 5-3 in the league but teams are so closely split that the 1 team with the best record is 6-2 but the team with the worst record is 3-5. It's too close to know where I'll end up, but only 4 teams will make the playoffs. And I don't trust Brady to turn it around this year. I think his hand is f'd up but he's trying to play it cool so teams don't target his hand. And in three of his past 4 starts he hasn't gone over 8 points. I thought with Gronk back he would turn it around but he still hasn't yet. I don't think I want to wait until the end of the season to figure out if Brady has a little magic left, I think he's going to have a down year and they'll probably get bounced out of the playoffs early. |

I'm a projected 102 vs. their 76. But lemme tell you about my other team. I'm about to play a 2-3 team. Their lineup currently: Stafford - Bye Megatron - Bye Cruz - Bye Nicks - Bye Alfmo - Good Demarco Murray - Was questionable, but looks to be starting now. Jermichael Finley - IR Prater - Bye Chicago DEF - Against GB projected 4.25 I won't get into her bench, let's just say there's player 1 is on a bye and 1 is on IR. |
Re: Fantasy Football 2013 Thread
Looks like I'm going Cam Newton starting vs. ATL rather than RG3 vs San Diego.
Sorry RG3. |
Andy Dalton just took a big dump on my FF team. Ugh.

Go ahead and grab Woodhead if you can. |

Wow I wish I was in your league, because Brady is the 20th ranked qb in mine. I just benched him for Terrelle Pryor in case my pending trade for Phillip rivers gets vetoed. |
Re: Fantasy Football 2013 Thread
Getting wins in weeks 8 & 9 is so crucial. These are the largest bye weeks for teams and surviving these weeks with wins in the middle of season sets up nice b4 the playoff push.
I don't know how it is in y'all's, but my leagues how been close, injuries have been equalizers. In my pay league, 10 of the 12 teams still in really good shape. 5 are all tied for the best record, no break aways. |

I'm in 4th place with a 5-3 record but if I win this week I'll at least move into a tie for first. My opponent started Andy Dalton too and only got 7 points out of him so I've got a good start too. |
Re: Fantasy Football 2013 Thread
Bye weeks are killing my teams right now, I lost a nail biter last week with Luck out and Geno Smith couldn't do jack in relief. Not much of anything on the waiver wire this time of year either.

I need Flacco to step the hell up today in relief for Kap in my pay league. Flacco where you at?

Trusting Flacco was your first mistake lol. Even when the Ravens win there's only a small chance it was because Flacco had a big game. |
Re: Fantasy Football 2013 Thread
Today I benched Chris Ivory and Mikes James. YAY! Luckily I'm playing my wife's friend who didn't realize Kaep is on a bye. :D
